Ever notice that there is a weird deification of male friendships in certain segments of fandom? Like people will act as if two men is the purest form of relationship possible (and shipping them romantically or gods forbid sexually dirties the pure bond apparently.).

Meanwhile f/f friendships are either ignored or presented as inherently bitchy/shallow and m/f friendships are usually presented as romantic.

Edited to add: I know the runtime feels like a lot but it's a video you can listen to, you don't have to sit and watch.
