in a scenario where you COULD auction people WOULD it be against the rules for that person to bid on themselves? Example: a person being auctioned off for a date or something off the like in a fictional situation. this is for fanfic research by the way, I’m thinking of the logistics of this.

I only see this working two ways:

Air Bud Rules: There’s No Rule Saying You Can’t Bid on Yourself, and since the individual is put on auction by a third party and not themselves, it wouldn’t be seen as a conflict of interest.

You COULD be able to bid on yourself but since the individual isn’t what being auctioned off but rather the service the individual is providing by proxy. So you bidding on yourself would mean you wouldn’t get the actual item on auction…

I'm actually a huge fan of enemies to lovers because I do think it's hot but to be clear "enemies to I think you're attractive and that's overcoming my hatred of you" sucks ASS the trope is about growing RESPECT and GENUINE AFFECTION the POINT is that they always found each other attractive but it doesn't MATTER until they also have a solid relationship built on trust respect and friendship!!!!! ever since i was a kid, ive wondered what it would look like if mabel was convinced to rule gravity falls alongside bill during weirdmageddon.....and my au FINALLY gave me an excuse to draw up a design for it!!!! SO, i introduce you to: Henchmaniac Mabel!!!!!!!! look at how cute she is!!!! <3 more context under the cut!!!

if you don't wanna check out the other parts, a really quick summary of this au is that: near the beginning of summer, bill reveals himself to mabel, and they become fast friends. everyone else in town assumes hes imaginary, but she knows hes real. what she DOESNT know, is that he has ulterior motives for wanting to get on her good side, specifically....

eventually, that leads to this!!! ford and dipper pull away from her, upon the discovery that shes working with a demon, which makes her feel more isolated than ever. shes convinced they just have the wrong idea, about bill. when ford suggests dipper stay with him after the summers over, she finally breaks down, and is comforted by her "muse". he promises her more summer! if she just break's her great-uncle's rift :)

of course, mabel isnt a MONSTER. and bill knows this! he knows that she might think his idea of a party is a liiiittle bit extreme. so, at the beginning of weirdmageddon, he gives her a gift! a pair of magic goggles! and juuuust enough of his power so that she can share in the joy of re-decorating the town :)

The entire part of Truth being an allegory and metaphor is correct! Truth is likely based around Monism, All is one and One is all. While it’s debatable if Truth as a character is intended to be The One, (I personally think yes) since Truth isn’t even an individual, Truth is everything all at once and nothing at the same time, they’re a metaphor, and not definable. They’re not an outcome or a divinity but as OP stated, a reaction, the plants preform photosynthesis, the animals eat the plants, the humans eat the animals, or the animals eat the humans and then they die; when this way of All-ness is disturbed it makes a reaction that is Truth.

Truth has literally been watching over the characters from the beginning of the story, not in a God way, but because Truth is manifested nature, world, and is all, so is simply watching by being.

FMA is fascinating because there aren't many works about what it means to be an atheist and a heretic to a god that you can not only see, but who has personally snatched body parts off of your living body and made fun of you for it.
