My favorite so far. Whoever made this is an impressive and brave human being. To face off against memories that haunt you is trial enough, let alone the challenges and fears that come with being uncertain in who you are. This made me feel something when I watched it, and I guess that’s art to me.

These people dance, and it’s pretty impressive. There’s a lot of anxiety but also a lot of togetherness in their interpretation of their preparation to have a child. I thought the actual song was very cool. It integrates who these people are into the music they’re dancing to almost as much as the dance does.

These kids are doing some intense martial arts. A lot of precision and super serious faces. I feel like these kids could totally beat my face in, luckily I have no quarrel with them. That kind of discipline amazes me, maybe one day I’ll have a fraction of the discipline these kids have.

This one is about coffee, and let me tell you, I love coffee. This is a celebration of people doing what they love and making a product that many enjoy. There are some cringe worthy moments I’d say, but it comes from a place of love so it feels like something I can easily look past. Romanticizing making coffee is kind of a wild concept to me, but I’m down for it.

Clearly I don’t know opera. I’m not particularly in love with the attitude of this film, but I get it. This guy clearly puts in a lot of work, and I can definitely respect that. There’s just a certain lack of humility and a sensation reminiscent of listening to those motivational speeches on youtube that never really push you to do anything.

Okay now this one is fantastic. A solid take on societal expectations of women and beauty. It’s very in your face and direct. The images are brutal, I was particularly taken by the spray bottle of anxiety being sold on tv. Wow!
