favorite part of ur universe?
I’m gonna have to go with the planet Aamrothal (not mapped.) It was the first world I ever created, back in like 2012ish. There have been 12 iterations of the world map iirc, and it needs to be updated yet again. It is the world that I have put the most work in to and is definitely the best developed, though there are still a lot of things I need to work on. I recently came up with about a half dozen different animal species that work really well with the environment of the world, as well as some cultural things that spawned my first real breakthrough with a potential plot, so that was pretty great. I feel comfortable enough to talk about the former if you want, though I will need to find my notes on them (I am still in the process of sorting stuff.)

I think you should make slug aliens and also work on your essay
K first of all essay now done :D
Second of all, allow me to introduce you to the people of Lallago (not currently mapped).
Lallago is a terrestrial world with a few freshwater oceans. It has several large mountain ranges, though these are dwarfed by the size of the cave systems that run throughout the planets crust and even into the upper mantle. Several can be seen from space with no difficulty.
Lallago is populated by two species: the Lallago, for who the planet is named, and the Gurstuterans.
The Gurstuterans are not technically native to the world (for secret reasons) though they have been there so long very few remember a time before their arrival. They are humainoid with massive, generally yellow eyes that are very sensitive to light, allowing them to see in the dark caves. They have cloven hooves, mottled skin usually of a darker colouration, and large ears. They often look starved, though the reality is quite the contrary as their farms are more than sufficient for their population size.
The Lallago, on the other hand, are sluglike creatures with a single massive eye and a cavern-like mouth. They roam the caves of Lallago, collecting falling water and other precipitation on the menacing spikes across their backs. Some Gurstuterans hunt Lallago for the food, as they have yet to realize that the Lallago are sentient creatures with their own society.
They are also very large and can live for a very long time. The largest recorded Lallago (and coincidentally the oldest recorded Lallago) was 1.57km from end to end, and over 20 000 standard years old. It was eventually hunted down and killed by a group of off-world hunters in the year 2842.

There are several aquatic worlds throughout the galaxy.
Some worlds, such as Jelea and Liciri, are fully aquatic and lush with aquatic life.
Other worlds, such as Antarel and Poral, are semi-aquatic. They have massive oceans, but also support some small niches of land creatures. In the case of Antarel, the native population of Antarelians are adapted to thrive on both the land and in the sea, and their civilization has grown to show this.
Some worlds, such as Mazilth, are not aquatic themselves, but have one or more aquatic moons. Two of Mazilth’s moons are known for their crystal clear water, which is actually considered to be one of the highest quality waters on the market.
There are also some worlds like Turia and Sniannine (not currently mapped) that are so heavily polluted that they have been rendered uninhabitable for most species. Turia was used as a dump for hundreds of years by neighboring worlds, as it does not have much in the way of valuable resources and was therefore considered to be an expendable planet. Sniannine, on the other hand, has waters that are naturally rich in lead and other pollutants, preventing most species from travelling there.

I think any spacecraft with weapons systems that are designed to deal large amounts of structural damages would be pretty good for this, though I do have a particular model in mind.
The HML-2000 Liquidator Class Heavy Bombardment Cruiser has a massive compliment of missiles. It is designed to shred ships once their shields have been disabled, and it does it’s job very well. I think a barrage from this vessel would definitely be enough to decimate most farms.

oh HO questions I can answer without spending half a century combing through my notes! I just have to make sure that I don’t, like, accidentally spoil the plot I’m working on, cause that would be kind of awkward. The names do not have any special meanings. Some of them are special to me personally because they are names I made when I was ten and they are still kicking around, but otherwise no. I made some of them myself, but most of them were random name generators or me going ghruiaghbuewaigobrsaug and then pulling names out of the mess. A lot of the species are indeed humanoid (for evolutionary reasons in the past that I am still thinking through) though there are a few that aren’t. An example would be the Vendrizi, whose homeworld is not yet mapped. The best way I could really describe them at the moment would be kind of like Malamar from Pokemon but with more tentacles and a rocky head. Actually almost closer to eight now, cause I started when I was 10 years old and I am not that age anymore :) The story that I am conceptualizing is actually several different plotlines that all take place within the same universe. The map shown here is mainly for the large-scale arc, while most of the other arcs are much more closed (taking place on a single world, usually.) None of those other worlds are mapped at this time. There is indeed a universal language (which ties in with the reason for the vast amount of humanoid species) as well as other ones that have developed as off-shoots of it. I haven’t actually spent that long developing characters (I’ve been really enjoying the world building part of this) but I would not rule out the possibility of at least one character having a hat. I admittedly have not fully fleshed out all of the magic systems I want to use, though I feel like I can talk a little about two of them here. The first one, which I am still in the very early stages of working on, pertains to space travel. If you look at the map, you can see that travel routes are very strict and defined. This is because the equivalent of the hyperdrive in this galaxy has a limited range. It consumes the magical substance I have not decided on yet, and this generally limits ships to travel between two worlds before they need to refuel. Those that can go longer usually stop at each world as a precaution. This limit on distance is why you don’t see any routes over the Irvint Expanse, for example. A second magic system I have worked on revolves around a special magic sphere that, after a significant event, grants a large number of people special powers. Just straight up superpowers. Like I’ve got someone who has a personal pocket dimension and someone who just has impervious hands and forearms. I can’t really explain more because I kind of want there to be some big reveal about this stuff if I ever write the story :)
I think that is all I will be saying to these questions at the current time but more questions are appreciated (as long as they don’t require me to get a PhD in organization first)
