I wasn’t supposed to be this tough this young,
Just like I wasn’t supposed to be this unsure of myself this late in life,

It’s World Mental Health Day today.
Remember not only to take care of your body but also to take care of your mind. 💚
Prioritize rest, be kind to yourself, and reach out if you’re feeling overwhelmed. You’re never alone in this journey, and taking small steps toward mental well-being can make a big difference. Let’s break the stigma, support one another, and remind ourselves that it’s okay to not be okay.

Men do experience sexual assault, abuse, and face harmful gender stereotypes. These issues are significant and deserve thoughtful discussion and action to address them. I am open to having conversations about how to tackle these problems, as long as they are treated as important topics in their own right.
However, if these issues are only raised as a way to derail or overshadow conversations about women's issues, I will not engage with that approach. Genuine concern for men’s issues means discussing them independently and not using them as a means to divert attention away from discussions about women. If your focus is solely on shifting the conversation away from women's topics, it suggests that you are less interested in addressing men's issues constructively and more interested in making everything revolve around men.

Never forget when a nerd from my high school when I was 17 and he was 16 or so said "women can't write shonen" and then two minutes later he said his favorite anime/manga was Fullmetal Alchemist. Never forget his face when my friend and I told him to check out who the author of that manga was. Never forget

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

“Almost every woman I have ever met has a secret belief that she is just on the edge of madness, that there is some deep, crazy part within her, that she must be on guard constantly against ‘losing control’ — of her temper, of her appetite, of her sexuality, of her feelings, of her ambition, of her secret fantasies, of her mind.”
