☆Undercover☆

Winx’s 4th comeback, undercover follows the end of Winx during the first timeline in which only four of them where able to turn back time.

The music video for fancy will feature retro futurism as its main aesthetic, the bright colors included could be used to further push the narrative that the girls where clueless about their reality almost until the end. The music video will take a lot of influence from totally spies because I want the music video to play out like a cliche 90s spy movie with all members except the c/v girls (aka 4 out of 12) being assassinated or caught which depicts the experience of the girls being picked off until there where 4 left in the 1st timeline:

Glass no sogen will focus on xiao hong’s devotion to protecting her sister (xuilan) during the first timeline where she spent almost all her time looking out for her after she seemed to be the only one to first recognize the manipulative tactics that the scouts used to convince her sister to become a magical girl

Aquamarine Takes place in the first timeline after the girls come to terms with the fact that the magical girl society is flawed and strive to fix it, looking for allies but not putting enough thought into what their doing and following a vague dream which is why I want this music video to take place in an underwater mall (I promise this will make sense when I explain it)

Although the mall is underwater, it still looks brand new, with pastel cleaning products in almost every scene which will be used to symbolize that what the girls lack is a grip on reality and the fact that they could die; they are trying to fix a dumpster fire of a society but they only see it as something that can be reformed with half a day’s work and despite society being flawed (underwater) it still can be fixed easily, like an otherwise clean mall with a few problems that can be fixed with some soap (this mentality is also why the songs on this album will Sound upbeat). Submerging yourself in water is also commonly used as a metaphor for attaining freedom through self destruction which applies to them because after being let down by what was supposed to be their fantasy dimension, they are ready to either make their wishes come true or die trying when things get too hard.

Carrying on with the theme of cleanliness I would like the album to look like one of those at home spa/ makeup kits:

I want some of the promo photos to look like they where taken in those stores that sell bath bombs and soaps like bath and bodywork’s or lush or a sleepover theme of the girls doing things like face masks together like your average 2000s chick flick movie:

Eat sleep dance will serve as a description of Alis’ attitude during the first timeline, during the first timeline she was especially close with Kimiko and Halina, however after witnessing the extent of Halina’s unhealthy mindset, she completely devotes her attention towards Kimiko because although she was worried about her, Halina’s mental problems where too overwhelming for her.

Alis attempts to bury her guilt by giving Kimiko an unhealthy amount of attention and affection to make her feel like a good friend which Kimiko doesn’t really notice as unhealthy so she reciprocates. This dynamic continues throughout the first timeline, offering her an escape from the chaotic environment she was forced to be in and allows her to ignore how serious the situation at hand was, which she only snapped out of when Kimiko died.

Personality-really quiet and hard to read to for most people, even people she’s close with, she doesn’t do this on purpose she just has a hard time showing her emotions through facial expressions and rarely emotes offstage, which is why her deadpan sense of humor comes as a shock to people because she’s kind of a weirdo but people are often too intimidated by her personality to notice, definitely the type to be sarcastic but have poeple actually take her seriously

Chapter 0 will focus on the relationships between the girls in the original timeline when they where magical girls that where painfully unaware of how they were manipulated, the mv taking place in a private school similar to the one that ultraviolet where in for the angel mv, symbolizing their sheltered nature at the time

Rashiku ikimasho encapsulates Cho here’s desperate attempts to cling to and protect her friends but ultimately feels useless with how little she knows, preferring to reminisce on good memories made with the rest of winx before they where involved with magical girls

I want the promotional pictures to look like standard school promotional and yearbook pictures but the school crest is replaced with a moth which will be used to refrence the first timeline throughout later comebacks, for example:

☆cyber-scape☆

Cyber-scape is the debut album of winx. Cyber scape will feature musical elements reminiscent of video games, one major source of inspiration for this era is mainly the NiGHTS: into dreams series because although there has been an uptick of kpop concepts that rely on nostalgia from the 2000s and y2k futurism, there really hasn’t been a group to fully explore the niche of that faze during the 90s-early 2000s where companies where just figuring out 3d in games so it looked disorienting at times but it had a certain dream like charm to it.

The mv will be set inside a video game in which Alis, Daisy, Halina and Sorella (c/v) are trying to find the other girls in what appears to be a video game which is an extended metaphor for how the other girls don’t realize the repercussions of being a magical girl in this universe, they see it as a game which is what c/v what to save them from which is why they are seen chasing the other girls throughout the mv

Promoted solo- luka luka night fever (Kimiko)

This will signify that despite the fact that the ultraviolet girls where defended the most, Kimiko is still destined to become a magical girl because of her daydreaming tendencies and her hatred for reality, preferring instead to stay in a fantasy where she is seemingly untouchable which aligns with the general perception of magical girls

☆ Predebut songs ☆

These are all songs preformed on the survival show I made for my group, idol h!light (you can find it on my old account here) but they also came with music videos explaining the lore of my group

Makenai - Kae Hanazawa

**to clarify, this song is a little longer in my dr and it’s Korean

This song is more known as the theme song for the last season of sailor moon that isn’t the song that we all associate it with (moonlight desenetsu), I thought that this was perfect for winx because the last season of sailor moon gets more plot driven and darker than the others which is reflected in makenai. This translates well into the context of the Winx lore and could serve as an introduction the lore.

The mv will tell the story of winx as magical girls, fighting against both the government of their planet and eventually succumbing to thier power due to the lack of planning and the fact that they saw things through rose colored glasses and I would like the last scene to be of the four surviving girls using a planet star to turn back time in hopes of stopping themselves from being magical girls in the first place

Alis, Halina, Daisy, Sorella - clear/voyance

Galaxy will serve as a clarification of the motives of clear/voyance (the subunit for the four girls that survived and turned back time) and illustrate through visuals how desperate they are to save the other girls, with visual storytelling similar to legendary girl utena and fritz the cat, I would also like the song itself to be changed slightly to sound more like the soundtrack of NiGHTS - gate of your dreams, featuring snippets of voices because I think it would hammer home the point that the girls still look upon the time they spent with the others favorably, which is exactly why they are devoted to stopping them from becoming magical girls.

This song will feature the four girls who the members of clear/voyance aim to protect the most as they are all the most enthusiastic about becoming magical girls in the first reality, all of the others are a little more suspicious of becoming magical girls.

This is implied in the mv that features them searching a private boarding school they go to with seemingly inappropriate levels of defense on the outside (high fences, barbed wire etc) for what seems to be a ghost but is really a character called ‘the scout’ who appears as a black silhouette of various forms throughout mvs but is a figure of a human girl in this one who is stopped from approaching the girls multiple times by the clear/voyance girls in the background of multiple scenes,the girls remain oblivious until the last scene where they see the c/v girls for a second before they disappear to chase the scout.

Kirakuni- Crystal Kay

Kirakuni tells the story of the other for girls that weren’t as closely defended by the c/v girls and where lured away by the scout who gestures for them to climb the fence and leave the survailence of the c/v girls to go to the mall and skip school, this is a metaphor for how the scout managed to convince them to let thier guard down and indulge in fantasies of becoming a magical girl

Voice claim - junko yagami (and a few examples of her vocals bcs I love them, her voice sounds beautiful on these songs and if you have the time you should listen to the whole album x x x)

Personality- a responsible but somewhat stubborn character, although her tone sometimes gives poeple the wrong impression, her toughness usually comes from a place of love she just has a hard time communicating that to people. Characters she reminds me of include mio from Nichijou and maka from soul eater

Fashion - I feel like she’d go for something less out there and opt for something more light academia with aspects of Mori kei, featuring earthy colors and cardigans

Predabut:

Used to be a vocalist (non kpop at that point) that was basically unknown overseas but was pretty popular in Korea, where she was known as a child prodigy. She did a lot of theme songs for kids shows and covers, but only had two self produced singles, 영원히 처음처럼 (storm) and cream - diva
