but it totally did though. it's confirmation that they are each other's everything. at the end of their lives, at the end of the world, the one thing that matters most to them is being together

Yes, there's certainly some of that, certainly with love overtones. Deep love. The only difference being, the Greek ideal... we never suggested in the series... physical love between the two.
