The gunman tilted his head back to hit the wall behind him with a light thud. What is that even suppose to mean? Damn. Looked like he had a tough crowd tonight. That was what it meant. He laughed to himself a moment before allowing his eyes to fall shut.
"Kinda slow on jokes, huh?" His lidded eyes turned to slits as he allowed cerulean optics to rest on his new acquaintance. Something had told him that this guy was going to be a tough one to chew on; Prompto hadn't decided how tough just yet. Again, he allowed his vision to be engulfed by darkness. How tough it wouldn't be didn't really matter, he supposed; he was going to have fun with it regardless. "'Sall good; guess they can't all be quick silver. Ya that slow on the battle field,though?" His lips curled into a smirk.
{ooc; Eee, that's really great to hear ^u^! Sounds like you have a tight grip on Cloud all around, huh? How long have you been writing for him? Yuss'm ~. She was one of the first characters I ever RPed uwu. Omg, do you really o: ? I didn't even know there were a lot of Yunas around! D'awe, I bet if you asked them, they would be super happy to RP with you ouo. They'd probably be flattered ~. Hmm, maybe you can get to know the game a little better through RPing with a Yuna? I guess unless you're avoiding spoilers or something!! Ah, Advent Children Cloud gives you a lot space to move around, eh? Makes sense ~. Pretty cool that it clicks for you, too; space to move around and a comfort zone with it. Sounds pretty ideal ^^!}
Cloud was a rather quiet type of person, Prompto was the complete opposite of him. Though he would try not to dread being on the ship. It was still unclear to the swordsman as to how he even got here in the first place. He ought to make the best of it while he could. At least that was what he was forcing himself to believe anyway.
"Anything like my personality?" A blond brow quirking upwards again at the other. "What is that even suppose to mean?" He questioned, head tipping to the side once more, as he crossed his arms loosely over his chest. "I couldn’t tell you."
Outof; I’m okay with his personality in Kingdom Hearts. I feel as though it’s still something I might have to get use to, but I’m almost positive I can do it, and so far it’s been pretty good to do, honestly. You have a Yuna? I follow so many Yunas but am actually too shy to ask to RP with them. But then again I have never actually play X enough to know much about the characters. I don’;t have a particular reason, I guess one of the main reasons I chose Advent Children for the default is because out of all the timelines, I can work with it, come up with different things through out it, even go as far as to plan what might have happened afterwards, I dunno to be completely honest, it just clicks.

"You alright there, little dude?"
The blond was crouched beside whoever the hell had fallen from the sky. It was funny to him: The kid was talking about landing in the flowers, but, what with his size, those beds probably would have swallowed him up. Or so Prompto thought. He guessed it would have felt better to be swallowed by plants than to be gnawed on by wood, though. Sure, the wood had been softened by age, but the distance the kid had took on would have made any landing hurt.
Prompto laughed.
"Man, if ya landed in those flowers, y'probably woulda made an indent in th'earth." Guessing the stranger was okay, he moved to sit down rather than crouch. He rested back on his hands, focusing his attention to the damage inflicted on the already broken covering above. "How th'hell didja manage that, anyway? Didn't know kids 'round here could fly."
It wouldn't have surprised him if kids around there could have flown. There were always oddities amongst places a person had never visited. However the kid had managed to bust through the roof, the gunman couldn't say he minded. The sunlight pouring from above felt good against his skin.
A loud thud announced the boy’s arrival in this foreign enclosure, as well as the hushed whimpering that echoed from his lips and filled the dusty air around him. The ground was cold and dry—he could tell it was wood—and retained that peculiar aged scent—like his grandparents’ house, but with less incense and more of an earthy flair.
Pain radiated from within the boy’s rib cage as breath was sucked in as ragged gasps, and a hazy vignette clouded his vision, threatening to envelope his sight completely and leave him in complete darkness. Light filtered through the wooden beams of the ceiling which he’d crashed through and he’d follow it lazily with his eyes.
A church. Complete with dusty old pews and an altar—yet the podium was replaced by a quaint little patch of greenery.
"F-Flowers…" He’d manage to groan, a small pout forming at the edges of his chapped lips. "… Why couldn’t I just land in the flowers…?

The other male's quirk of the brow went unnoticed; Prompto's eyes had left his new acquaintance's face to search the crowd upon this ship. The gunman allowed a soft sigh to roll from his lips, noting that no one interesting seemed to be on board. Looked like this trip was going to lag on. He gave a shrug in hopes to shrug off a negative outlook before refocusing his attention on Cloud.
"Strife, huh?" he mused. A nod bobbed his head. "Yer name anything like yer personality?" Snickering, he nudged the other with his elbow. Seemed like the guy was pretty quiet; there was nothing wrong with that, but it wouldn't be much fun if he didn't liven up. Or maybe it would be? Prompto surely didn't mind spending his time trying to pry a person open. That could be interesting. It looked like his route for fun would all depend on Cloud's response.
{ooc; Ooooh, I see. How do you like Cloud's Kingdom Hearts personality, then? Ah, I admire people who can take their character to whatever timeline! I write for Yuna sometimes and can't RP her anywhere but her X-2 personality. It's super cool that you can write for Cloud throughout his life ^u^. Any particular reason you choose Advent Children as a default?}
Cloud arched a brow at the other, studying him for a moment. He seemed like the complete opposite of himself. While Cloud was quiet and reserved, the other seemed outgoing and enthusiastic, much like Yuffie. Though, he only hoped he didn’t steal things like Yuffie did.
"My name is Cloud Strife." He nodded, closing his eyes for a second. He wasn’t really too sure what to make of the other yet.
Outof; I chose Hollow Bastion because recently I’ve been playing a lot of Kingdom Hearts and well, I play Cloud at all timelines. Though the defaulted timeline for me is Advent Children, I play him anywhere from Pre-Crisis Core, Crisis Core, FFVII the actual game, Advent Children/ACC as well as Kingdom Hearts. Also it’s fine :3

Grumpy as him? That was definitely a new one. “Nice to meet you too.” He responded, taking the other man’s hand with a small nod.
Outof; Thank you! Actually excited about it!
Maybe grumpy wasn't the right word, but it or pouty seemed to fit the kid in Prompto's mind. Was he a kid? Pretty boy? Whatever he was, he wasn't too bad of a guy if he was willing to shake the blond's hand. He grinned.
"Th'name's Prompto, Prompto Argentum." He gave the other's hand a firm shake before releasing and leaning against a nearby wall. "Been on this thing since the dawn of time." Chuckling to himself, he looked to the other. "An' who th'hell're you?"
{ooc; Hee hee, super glad to hear it ^u^!! What madeja choose Hollow Bastion as your home base :3? Also, I hope you don't mind that I turned it to a text post! I'm not fond of RPing on questions uwu.}

The blond raises his brow, surprised to hear the response that he does. When he thinks about it, he figures he shouldn't be surprised. Sure, this information is new to him, but it isn't as though he has ever known of Fang's friends. He had never thought about them in the past; he had always assumed she had her own group somewhere. He hadn't assumed they were scattered and lost amongst wherever. He shoots the woman a short glance before looking forward once more. Being unsure of your friends' whereabouts sucks; he is no stranger to that. Being unsure of their safety is even worse. Running his tongue along the backs of his bottom teeth, he nods slowly. "That kinda shit's rough." He feels her lean against him and shifts his weight to lightly press back. This sort of situation is rough, alright. It is a time when people need support. Prompto is more than happy to be that support for a good friend. "Well, if they've vanished from time, guess we're just gunna have t'rewind the clock, huh?" Smiling, he moves his gaze back to the huntress. "We'll find 'em; even if it takes us th'rest of our lives." Though he has never heard of someone describing a lost person as "vanishing from time", he assumes it is some sort of metaphor. He doesn't know it could mean anything more than that. He does know he is going to help Fang to the best of his abilities until they can hunt down her crew.
"Mm…" She mutters at his question. "That’s the problem, Ah have no idea." She purses her lips slightly. "Thing about my crew is that we end up separatin’ and end getting into trouble that way, heh." She chuckles a bit, becoming a little nostalgic. She shifts her weight a bit so her shoulder is leaning slightly against his. "What worries me is that they all have seemed to have just…" she pauses, knowing that what she was going to say next probably won’t make any sense to him, "-vanish entirely from time."

"Spend th'holidays with you next year?" He raised his brow, recalling the last time the two had thrown a celebration together. A masquerade, wasn't it? That was a good time, no doubt, but it had been a lot work. A lot of manual work on his part. He grinned. "Is that how ya get yer hard labor done? Sucker in poor fools to your parties, then make 'em put it together?" The idea of spending the holidays with Rinoa and whatever friends or family she had didn't sound too bad; Prompto wasn't entirely sure he felt comfortable with the reasoning for his invitation, though. Having no where to spend the holidays and no one to spend them with didn't mean he wanted pity for it. In the back of his head, he figured it didn't matter. Rinoa was a tough one. If she wanted the blond at her Christmas party, there was a pretty good chance he was going to be there.
Hearing his friend's teasing remark, the gunman made a dramatic grip at his chest. "Ouch, shot through the heart." He laughed again, tugging the girl to her feet when feeling her hand against his. If these two were to spend the day together traveling Lucis, it would make for an interesting time. Rinoa might have appeared to be sweet, but Prompto could swear he smelled a sense of adventure in her somewhere. He was going to see if he could pull that sense out of her. With that, he was going to tease her along the way.
"Your highness?" he repeated, chuckling at her small feinting gesture. "Pretty sure that's my line, Princess." Following her royalty joke, he made a full bow and swung an arm out toward a nearby park. "This way, m'lady! Get ready for the tour of a lifetime ~."
Different sorts of people were scattered amongst the park. Since Lucis had opened its gates to visitors from different worlds, it had gotten an influx of foreign characters and inventions. Prompto hadn't got the chance to check it out, but word on the street that people were giving hover board lessons in the park he gestured towards.
Her head canted slightly when she observed his face. It was as if he was deep in thought; had he never celebrated the holidays? Shaking her head, she wagged a finger at him and smiled. “Well I guess that just means that you’ll be celebrating the holidays with me next year! Better mark your calender, mister! You won’t be getting out of this one!” A chuckle escaped her lips as she leaned back slightly. The young sorceress didn’t know much of this land, so she was thankful to have Prompto at her side. At least this way she wouldn’t get lost.
Her reverie was cut short when she felt her body being nudged. Smirking softly, she nudged the blonde right back and stuck her tongue out a bit. "How nice of you to notice. Wish I could say the same about you~" She laughed alongside him, and grabbed his hand in response. Once she was standing, she feigned a faint and bowed slight. "Oh, I would be so honored to be graced with your presence, your highness." Peeking upward, she smiled and gestured for him to lead the way.

All he could manage was a raspy murmur.
"A decent person, huh?"
Though the words hardly moved past his lips, they deeply rooted themselves in his mind. Did saving someone's life make you a decent person? That was what this woman was doing: Saving his life. At least, that was what she was attempting to do. If she failed, she wouldn't be considered a hero by most people's standards. Would she still be considered a decent person, though? Was it the attempt that mattered?
Or perhaps it was how many lives you had saved that proved your decency. If that was the case, Prompto found himself to be a pretty indecent person. Indirectly, he had probably saved a few hundred or thousand people. Through his own intent, the only person he had ever really saved was his best friend. There were times when he had been pretty sure his others friends would have lost their lives if not for him, but did those counts?
Now that he wandered his thoughts, he found these questions to be confusing. Whatever the hell it took to be a decent person, it wasn't something he was interested in. Something told him he should be focused on another task at hand, anyway. What was that task?
“We’re almost there.”
Almost where? Perhaps that was the task he felt he needed to be completing: Getting wherever there was. Where was there, though? Where was he now? Questions upon questions kept stacking themselves in his mind, so much so that they were beginning to hurt. That was when a bright light hit.
"Ah, fuck."
The brightness of the light hurt worse than the inquiries attacking him had. Worst of all was the pain he felt from confusion; he had no idea what the fuck was going on. He could hear a voice. It was familiar.
“You’re going to make it, I promise.”
It was the last thing he could remember before waking up in a hospital bed.
-
Oceanic optics attempted to reveal themselves through heavy lids. Warmth from his left could be noted; from the corner of his eye, he could see light blue out of a window. Half asleep, he moved to sit up.
Where the hell am I?
His movement instantly halted as a sharp pain coming from his stomach shot throughout his body. Control was lost and he found himself falling back and letting out a loud yell.
"What the fuck?!"
White Night || Open
A mere scoff would be given to such a comment, frivolities such as heroes too easily batted away as foolish, asinine concepts; it was equally amusement as it was acrimony. “I’m not being a hero,” she argued, though the force she put into her input was lacking, as if tired by the exchange of words despite what little time was spent between them. “You’d die if I left you there. I’m being a decent person.”
Again did she fall silent, focus captured by the task at urgent hand. Each step taken was uncomfortable, a lightly put statement, as one would expect a blood drenched form in the acerbic dead of winter to be at least the most minuscule bit undesirable, but it was disconcerting simultaneously: no human should have lost that much life fluid in so little a time frame. She took a breath, attempting to remain level headed within the situation—she was the only right minded one, after all. The way Prompto allowed his temple to relinquish itself upon the cushion of her body indicated a less than desirable assumption.
She had to hurry.
Second breath taken, followed by the hard swallow of spit. While the shifting of his body upon her own did not flummox her sense of balance, it did deter the increase in speed she allowed herself to take, immediately concerned as to whether or not the more aggressive movements had caused the bloodied man any sort of pain. Aylen was about to question his well being with that accented timbre of hers, only to be stopped short by another query in motion. She was slow to answer, for obvious reasons. “Ah…” she stalled, swiveling senses scurrying from one area to the next, scouring the vicinity with an unmatched speed. Aster hues ceased their travels when pinpointing a more familiar pathway, elfin heels instantaneously turned to dash in that direction. A single glance was taken back to Prompto, doubt of his health once more plaguing her, however was set aside to place actual aid in a higher precedent. “Yes,” she barely breathed. “We’re almost there.”
It was with a slightly skidding halt did the two finally arrive at the hospital. Aylen barged in, surely giving the attendant at the front desk a scare (quite evident with the look of pure, unadulterated astonishment on her face), and with third, final breath taken did she stride over with the injured second party. “Please,” she said, voice small from all the running. One more glance given to the blond in her arms. “He needs assistance. He’s badly wounded and needs a doctor.”
And as the attendant gave a shaky nod before departing, eyes fixated on all the ruby liquid stained on the two of them, Aylen followed in quick suit, attention still upon Prompto. Soft words were given as an attempt to keep him conscious. “Hey. We’re here. I brought you all the way to the hospital, so you have to hold on a little longer. Okay?”
A pause.
“You’re going to make it, I promise.”

"Ah, yeah, th'holidays!"
Tongue pressing at his cheek, he attempted to recall the last time he had celebrated Christmas. It was a failed attempt, one that he allowed to pass. There was no reason to focus on memories you didn't have. "Always forget people do shit in th'winter." A smile was prominent on his features as he allowed pools of blue to wander the perimeter. Being that it had once been under attack, it was nice to see everything in one piece.
"Yeah, I'm doin' alright. This place is lookin' pretty good." His gaze shifted to the girl beside him before the blond nudged her. "You're lookin' pretty good, too." Snickering, he stood and offered a hand to help her up, if she needed it. "Yer not gunna see many sights if yer sittin' around, though. Why don'tcha take The Prompto Tour? Satisfaction guaranteed ~."
Her lips pulled upward into a wide grin when she recognized the familiar face. It had been months since she had seen the cocky blonde; life had gotten so busy, so to see him now was definitely a treat. To be honest, this was the last place she’d thought she’d run into someone familiar, but she was grateful for it.
“Well the holidays definitely took up a lot of my time. Glad to see you doing well!”
A chuckle escaped her lips as she smacked his hand away.
“I figured I’d see the sights. I’ve always wanted to travel.”

Half of a second passed as the blond narrowed his gaze. His mind could be playing tricks on him, but he was pretty sure he knew the girl seated a distance from him. A smirk was in place as he approached the female; it widened into a grin when his assumptions proved to be true.
"Yo! It's been a while since I've seen your chipper ass aroun' 'ere."
Casually, he took a seat beside the brunette and used a hand to mess up her hair.
"Where ya been? An' what th'hell're y'doin' in Lucis?"
Seated on a bench, she raised her feet slightly and kicked the air for a few moments. When she heard footsteps approaching, she lowered her legs and looked up at the newcomer. Flashing a soft smile, she nodded to them in greeting.
”Hey there!”

He smiles and nods. "Don't blame 'em. If y'handle fiends like y'handle men, anyone on the opposite team is fucked." Feeling a soft nudge, he focuses his attention on her; he furrows his brow when he notices her vacant expression. "Friends-uh-yours, huh?" Whoever those friends are, they must be in some kind of shit. Looks like that don't come from searching for someone on vacation. "They gunna be alright?" As the question leaves his lips, he sets his gaze ahead. He isn't sure what kind of answer to expect. Fang could easily brush him off; she could just as easily spill her guts out. Whichever, Prompto doesn't mind. He makes a silent note to stick close to the huntress. Whether she spills or not, she looks like she could use someone nearby.
She couldn't help but laugh and rub the back of her neck with one hand. Prompto could always get her to laugh.
"Yeah, they thought they could use me to watch a couple-a people's backs." She nudges his arm with her elbow playfully and then crosses her arms over her chest. "'Sides, Ah thought Ah'd tag along and maybe find some friends of mine." Her eyes became distant and almost vacant as if she were seeing the faces of those most dear to her.

The locals here didn't seem too bad-- it took about five seconds for someone to approach him and answer his inquiry. A woman had stopped to give him directions to an awesome restaurant she worked at. While she couldn't accompany him, shesaid she had a friend working down there that could hang. Prompto could only hope that friend was as cute as the girl giving him the directions-- that was the only kind of girl he wanted to hang around. After memorizing the short list of steps he had to take, he turned to make his way to the restaurant--
--He hadn't expected a person to be behind him.
"Oh, shit!" The words slipped off his tongue before he was able to glance at the stranger he had bumped into. It didn't look as though their run-in had done her any damage; she seemed too preoccupied with something else to be knocked over. In fact, she was so preoccupied that she had started dusting the blond off after dusting herself off. Prompto chuckled, lifting a brow as he eyed her hands. "Uh, I think yer supposed t'dine me before we get to that part."
He looked the girl over once, noting not that she was pretty, but that she was oddly dressed. Cerulean optics were trained on what looked like scarves coming from the stranger's hands. The fuck? His gaze remained there a moment, leaving him wondering what kind of stunts she could pull off with those. If traveling around had taught him anything, it was that people could use some weird tactics to attack. Sunset scarves could have very easily meant one who dances with a fire-- wouldn't that have been something?
Imagination running wild, the blond averted his attention back to the girl's face. Only then did he notice how pretty she was. Oh shit. We can skip t'that part, if you wanna, though. It looked to him that she wouldn't be interested in anything of the like; whatever the hell was behind him, that was what she wanted. He took a step back and allowed his gaze to trail where her eyes were fixed.
Dumplings? Prompto almost laughed.
"Yo', dumplings dude!" he called out. With the amount of people moving around, the salesman didn't hear him. The gunman turned to the girl and offered a smile. "Wanna hunt 'im down?"
The sea of bodies around them seemed to be increasing; being that it was almost lunch time, that made sense. If the two waited long, they and the dumpling man would surely get lost amongst the people.
Leviathan || Prompto and Sanzang
This land was familiar, and that was enough for the mystic to be thankful for. Jade carvings adorned various windowsills, paper lanterns were strung together by the dozen and hung from every corner of the city square. Her feet, though growing more tired with every step, led her north—towards a crimson pagoda which had loomed o’er the rest of the landscape.
Her arrival in this quaint city had been welcomed rather warmly by those whom had passed her by.
Especially the men.
They offered crooked smiles and honeyed words whilst women merely nodded in her direction, their eyes sullen and tired. The dancer hadn’t been blind to her own looks; fair skin, emerald eyes and youthful glow were uncommon traits here—making her a rarity of sorts—as well as a source of potential conflict. Roseate lips had been curved into a pleasant simper as she glanced around, offering her own greetings to the influx of new faces.
“Nǐ hǎo! Hello—so nice to meet you,” came her sunny response, sleeves waving like fulvous banners as her arms swayed from side to side to clear a small path. From the corner of her eye, the dancer caught sight of a little dumpling cart at the far edge of the cobbled street. She simply had to have one. Or ten.
“Don’t mind me, I’ll just be on my way!”
Sanzang had been enraptured by her surroundings, and failed to pay heed to a figure that stood in her bannered wake.
“—Láo jià!” She exclaimed upon bumping into a comely lad with flaxen hair. “I’m so sorry! I was trying to get to that cart—” Upon dusting herself (and the humanoid road-block) off, she peered around him—at the cart that had began to move with the pedestrian traffic. “—Děng wǒ!”
