For me it's the fact that you can't truly, deeply, totally betray someone who didn't trust you completely. It's got that Shakespearean element of something like Othello, where the love was profound but external influences and blind rage shattered it.

And then, when you imagine how it would be to reconcile, the reconciliation itself is a miracle because of just how wrenching the betrayal was. I think the pairing takes these things to such a delicious extreme.

In episode three, you can see Silco and Vander mutually wanting to reconcile, but not being able to make it work. Vander expressing his guilt freely and openly, Silco expressing his desire for Vander to rejoin the cause. Like imagine how much you have to care for someone if you're still willing to entertain even the possibility of reconciliation after the river.

I think for me, Vander and Silco have such an air of classical tragedy, Orpheus and Eurydice or Achilles and Patroclus. In a better world they would have been inseparable, but they weren't in a better world.

I have..a question.. So I am NOT a big fan of Zaundads... (no im not one of the people whos like THATS PROSHIPPING!!!!!!
