Hello. I have a question. Why is it so important to keep your astrological sign sun/moon/rising a secret? What’s the worst that could happen? And when do people reveal? Thanks for answering.

What’s the worst that could happen? ....In the worst case scenario, a witch with a lot of practice with astrology gets that information and uses it to manipulate you. That is the concern with revealing this information. The more you give out, the more risk there is.

So, for example, if I know you are an Aquarius sun, I can guess that you might be creative, and intellectual. You might seem aloof or withdrawn, and you hold emotions in high value. That is some pretty basic information, and it is very general, but you can still make a few guesses around how a person may act/react based on that. This gives me a lot of info on how you normally appear/act, and I can use this to judge how you might be reacting to x scenario.

Now, if I also know that you are, for example, an Aries moon, I now also have important information about your emotional and secret side. People with their moon in Aries can often be bold, and flexible, but also domineering, impatient, and impulsive when dealing with emotional issues. If I know this, as well as the information about the Aquarius sun, I can make even more assumptions about you, and know how better to harm.abuse.manipulate you.

Adding information about your rising sign narrows this down even more. I hope you can see the pattern. 

Your own natal chart is basically a cheat sheet with basic information about every detail about you; from predictions of the future, to life paths, to possible struggles, to insight into relationships, and much, much more.

Spell Loopholes

Wording a spell correctly is extremely important! We’ve all heard the stories of someone who cast a spell and technically had it come true, but in a way that wasn’t what they actually wanted at all! Here’s a list of common “loopholes” spells will take to get the job done, and how to make sure you get what you want!

🕯Taking its time- “I want money,” you tell the Universe, hoping to get some help with rent. Well, rent comes and there’s no extra cash in sight! Then, two weeks later, a surprise wad of cash all but lands in your lap. The spell came true, but not in time for when it mattered. This is easily fixed by adding “…by the end of the month,” or specifying what the money is for, which in this case was this month’s rent.

🕯No help needed- “I want money,” you say again. Magic will often take the path of least resistance, so if you’ve already got a paycheck on the way, the spell might not do much besides make sure it doesn’t get lost. There. Money. It can be good to specify that you want your spell to work in addition to everything you’re already doing!

🕯 Bare minimum- This time from your money spell, it arrives on time from an unexpected source! But it’s a quarter you found on the ground. Maybe three quarters. Not much help! If your intent would require the money to be close to a certain amount or any other specific like that, let it be known! The universe isn’t there to make assumptions.

🕯 For the worst- Let’s say you have two friends that have been flirting, so you cast a nice little spell to let any mutual interest between them blossom into a relationship and save them some trouble. It happens, but it turns out they do NOT work well with each other. They are interested in each other, but argue constantly and bring out the worst in each other. The relationship is hurting them both. You had the absolute best of intentions, but there was no way of knowing that would happen! This is why a lot of witches include the phrase, “for the highest good” in their spells, as a failsafe for any unexpected pitfalls like this that may be lurking. The universe will see them but doesn’t know to care unless you specify.

🕯Another layer- Once I made a dream bear to bring me more dreams. Well, I had lots more dreams, but couldn’t remember any of them! I didn’t think that was something I needed to specify. Make sure you hit every point you need to be satisfied with a result.

As a general rule, if my spell includes a prayer or petition of any sort, I take a few minutes and comb through it for stuff like this beforehand. What am I specifying? What am I leaving up to interpretation? Could any of that manifest in a way I would be unhappy with? Take a little time before you start casting to smooth out all those wrinkles! Best of wishes!

Cheese Curse

I initially got the idea for this curse from a tumblr post about sealing a piece of cheese in a jar and letting it rot. I have no idea where this post went but this is my highly effective cheese curse that I’ve used a few times now.

Components:

A piece of cheese

A coffee filter (or otherwise biodegradable piece of paper like newspaper, tissue paper, etc).

Black string

Baneful ingredients like chili peppers

A taglock of the target (I get a piece of paper and write their names on it or their screen name etc. Do not obtain saliva, hair, or any other physical things through force.)

Optional: a plant (especially aloe vera)

Directions

Take your piece of cheese. It can be any type of cheese. I’ve used gruyere, mozzarella, etc. Any cheese works! Place it on your coffee filter and add your baneful ingredients. Then add your taglock. As you fold your coffee filter around your components, whisper an incantation along the lines of “your power and influence will rot as this cheese does. May you harm no one else with your actions. The world will know your treachery.”

After I’ve finished speaking, I tie up the coffee filter and then I buried it in my aloe vera plant and I whispered “may the energy of your wrongdoing against all the people that you’ve harmed be transformed into healing energy for those affected but your influence.” And then I walk away and grab a snack.

Note: this is a HIGHLY effective curse. I cast this on an abusive couple in an Overwatch server I was in and two months later, they were divorcing and it was revealed that he was a pedophile. Only cast this curse if you are absolutely sure you want to do it!

🍍 Pineapple Tea 🍍

You will Need:

🍍1 cup of pineapple, sliced/cubed

🍍 4 cups of water

🍍 1 teaspoon lime juice

 🍍 6 white teabags

To Prepare:

🍍 Bring water to a boil. Add pineapple and lemon juice and simmer for 1 hour

🍍Turn off water, add teabags and let sit for 1 hour

🍍 Strain and Enjoy!

Playing Cards Divination

If you donot have your own set of tarot/oracle cards. you can use normal playing cards instead!

How to

Use them just like oracle/tarot cards.

First charge the deck, you do this by holding them in your dominant hand and pushing your energy into them, then touch each card one by one. fan the deck out in your non-dominant hand and ask for guidance and clear readings (from who ever you want readings to be influenced by, eg: god/dess, universe, spirits) From here I like to start with a little game to make sure the cards are giving me accurate readings, pick a person you know really well, then ask the deck for a card that represents that person the best, find the meaning, and if the card is accurate you’re good to go. if not cleanse it in the moon light or under salt then try again (you can skip this step, it just lets me know my cards are accurate and it also shows me a bit of the personality of the deck) Now you are ready for your reading, you can do a simple single card draw for advise to keep in mind for the day, or a 3 card draw 1- past 2-present 3- future, there are of cause a bunch of very complicated card spreads and alot of simple once, they aren’t hard to find

What are some different methods of meditation in witchcraft?

I am literally one of the worst people to ask because I almost never meditate, at least not in the "traditional" sense. My kind of meditation is having an hour long conversation with myself about what the f*ck are we doing.
