Hey, so not to be a bummer, but I've noticed that some of my posts are being reblogged with tags regarding specific fandoms or fictional characters and like...please? don't do that? These aren't fictional experiences. They're very much my real experiences and I honestly don't really enjoy them being placed into the framework of a fictional world, and therefore treated as discourse surrounding fictional events.
My spirituality isn't fictional. Once again, they are my real experiences. Please be respectful of that.

Got spoiled fruit? Are you a witch?
Here's a simple spell for attracting sweetness into an unsatisfactory social life.
Cleanse your area, preferably a floral scent of incense. (Use whatever works for you and make sure it's safe for animals if you have any).
Get whatever spoiled fruit you have, and run it under warm water until room temperature or heated.
Cut the fruit open.
Sprinkle the inside with sugar for sweetness and purity.
Drip honey into the slice for attraction.
Top with yarrow for healing and positive energy.
Seal with black or brown wax for protection (black) or home blessings (brown).
"Wrapped in warmth, sealed with safety; everything is perfectly okay."
#you could also use white wax as a substitute; of course#magick#witchcraft#witchblr#spellwork#grimoire#heathenry#deity work#spellcraft#spellbound#witch tips#witchery#sweet spell#yarrow spell#sugar spell#honey spell#color magick#witch#spell#witches#baby witch#beginner witch#kitchen witch#witches of tumblr#witchythings#witch aesthetic#wicca#witchlife#sweet witch

Can't stop thinking about muntjac deer. See the thing with muntjacs is that they have these large scent glands below the eyes and on the forehead, and they use them to mark territory. Many types of deer have the glands in front of the eyes (pre-orbital) but muntjac are unique in having forehead glands (frontal). Here's the video I saw. There's something really unsettling about the idea of an animal being able to like. Open it's face. Idk I think it's madly creepy but it's like a perfectly natural thing for the animal to do. It just looks scary.

It's always the most pathetically dependant people that fall for the independent " I can do it all on my own ." Type of people.
I feel like its some twisted play . Cruel fate perhaps ? One loves too much the other too little .
Or maybe aphrodite just gave me too much love to give never to receive an equal amount. I feel that's something not many people realise when they think of love. Just as love is beautiful and soft, it's harsh and sharp. Same with aphrodite . They worship her as the god of love, forgetting her warlike epithet. Forgetting how harsh and strong she can be.
(Not taking away from her softness but highlighting both her sides )

Worshiping Lord Loki with Depression
After I explained my depressive state and apologized for my absence...
"Oh..."
Loki sighs and looks towards the fire.
"You don't need to give me your energy or offerings, you don't owe me anything. You need to look out for your own happiness, you understand? Sometimes we can get so consumed with our duties we forget to take care of ourselves. I forgive you."
Loki takes an exaggerated sip of his tea as he tilts his head backwards. He looks back down at me, his voice soft and sincere.
"If you ever need anything, just ask. I am always right here for you. I have waited thousands and thousands of years. I am not going anywhere. Your relationship with me is yours and yours alone, you make the rules of that. I am here for you and will continue to be here for you. I understand how it can feel, there is nothing wrong with feeling depression. I would rather you let yourself feel every single ounce of emotion than for you to bottle it up inside. You need to be in touch with your feelings. The world needs you as you are right now."
Me: "Thank you. You've done so much for me. I hope I'll be able to pay you back one day."
Loki gives me a stern look while he raises his mug in the air.
"You will never have to repay me for anything I've ever done for you. I do those things because I love you. It's the same with my other children, I will never put them in a debt they could never repay. You repay me all the time by being you. That's what a parent is for. To support their child.
Loki gives a playful smile, he has seen millions and millions of years. There is an ease in him as he speaks.
"I promise you, I promise you won't have to repay me."

❀ Gods always have time for you, they are immortal transcedental beings. You are never a burden to them and they love you enough to be there for you. ❀ Gods are always willing to help you out even if your concern seems unimportant to you. You can’t possibly require too much time or effort of a Deity. ❀ Gods understand you better than you think. Even if it seems to you that you are not making sense or that you are wording it all wrong, they know your soul. ❀ Gods love you not in spite of, but for your differences. Regardless of what it is, every aspect of your being is beautiful to them. Be kinder to yourself. ❀ Gods need you as much as you need them. You are not in vain just because you’re mortal and can’t do much. Your faith and love awaken their names. ❀ Gods are there for you through the darkest times, too. Even when you don’t think that anyone is listening, they are near. It might take time to see their light.

Hollowed Out, Serpent’s Tongue
I thought I broke.
I thought I was broken.
I cried and I cried.
I wanted to end it all.
I didn’t know who I was
I still don’t know who I am.
I hollowed out
I hollowed out my bones
I left them brittle
I loved someone so hard
That I lost all my hardness.
All my sharpness
Sanded my own edges
To soften my embrace
Tried to cover my salt and sour
With too much sweetness.
I thought the cracks in my heart
Could never heal
And I was right.
But they don’t need to.
I hollowed out
Hollowed out my heart
To fill it with honey
Honey on a serpent’s tongue…
A serpent’s tongue.
I spoke lies and truth.
Sugared my tongue.
I spoke lies for truth.
Honeyed my tongue.
A serpent’s tongue told me
That I was allowed
To make lips pucker
In disgust
And not love. Not lust.
A serpent’s tongue
Told me that my hollow heart
Could hold any venom I chose
Tossed me a whetstone
For my sanded edges
Told me
“Darling— be sharp.
Be broken.
Know what broken glass does?
It cuts.”
A serpent’s tongue
Sprayed me with salt and lemon
They make cuts feel like damned hell
But they heal.
Filled my mind with fire
And my body with water.
“What if you slept
While I kept watch?”
What if hollow bones
Are for flight?
A serpent’s tongue
Has taught me how to flap my wings.
It will teach me how to fly.
My hollow limbs
Are the lighter for the dancing.
My hollow heart
Is the lighter for the holding.
What if I filled my hollowness
With sea water?
With salt and sour?
What if I lit a fire in my bones
And kept it burning
What if black is my new color?
What if my cracks and crevices rattled
Like wooden beads
When I danced?
What if the whetstone sharpened
The edges I had tried to soften?
What if sunlight filtered through
And filled my hollow eyes
And my hollow smile
With light?
I hollowed out
My heart, my bones, my self.
“Darling, fill your new hollows
With anything you desire
And thank your past self
For your new space.
Open the closed cupboards
Let the dark out to play
Let your sour and salt
Flood the world
Let cracked hollow lips
Teach the world how to sing.
Because you have one
Acoustic heart
Courtesy of the hollow cracks.”
One hollowed heart,
One hollowed out
One serpent’s tongue
Tells me
“As you are! As you are
Be loved! Be hollow!
Be sour! Be salt!
Be the flood!
Be charred dark!
Be a serpent’s tongue!
Be honey, be sugar,
But only if you desire!
And no matter what it is
Be loved as it is.
Be loved as you are.”

I think it's really important in deity worship that you just do it. Sometimes when I'm feeling uninspired I can't feel the gods around me. But it's still important work to be done. Today I did yoga to get my body moving and prayed to Atum for creativity and motivation. I gave little lettuce wraps but I didn't feel anything profound. Deity worship doesn't always feel highly spiritual. Sometimes it's just going through the motions and making sure that you act the way that you promised. I think it's really damaging to say that you need to feel something every time you engage with spirit.
