New Wish Coin Album in Progress!

I have decided to bite the bullet and write an album. And this won't be some amateurish attempt at songwriting like 'Animals' where I took and personified friends of mine and inserted them into cute little ditties. No, I am giving this a true go at expressionism through the art of music and voice.

I've completed one song so far and I'm actually quite please with the result. So is my husband, whose opinion is of utmost importance to me as I know he brings nothing but honesty to the table. 

I plan on releasing the final outcome through CD Baby when everything is said and done. So here's to chasing dreams, tackling them and then forcing them into submission and declaring them your bitch.

Life is splendid.

The only constant in my life that's never been a disappointment is music. I'm fluent in the language, and have been blessed with the ability to express what words cannot through the piano, trumpet and most recently the ukulele.

I've experienced dialogues with fellow musicians, skilled in maintaining the delicate balance that exists within an orchestra, pushing and pulling within the circle to achieve the status quo. On the other end of the spectrum lies my late night back porch sessions with players holding only a crude understanding of the fundamentals, yet fueled by true passion.

I, myself, prefer monologues. This is not to say that I do not enjoy playing with fellow artists; I just look for those who speak the same dialect of music is all. But however I get to experience this magnificent wonder of life, I sure am lucky.
