Fun facts I learned from this interview:
-The film was originally 3 hours long (not really a surprise there)
-There was a version where Alma and Reynolds meet in church
-I’ll just leave this quote about the fireside scene here:
“This scene was originally many times this length. A lot more dialogue. Sections about his children and the baby-mamas, etc.”

Good article that talks about Alma being Jewish, Reynold being (arguably) bi, and other things.

Here: the strangest Phantom Thread thing I’ve found yet.
I almost don’t want to post it due to its level of weird. But i feel I wouldn’t be doing my job of creating a compendium if I didn’t.
I don’t really have a whole lot to say about this except at first, I was afraid to watch it, but now that I have, I’m glad that I did? Fake Reynolds Woodcock is pretty outstanding. I liked fake Pennsylvania Alma, too.
Asmr effect is dubious?
Additional warning: I don’t want to come across as bashing on asmr’ers bc to each their own.
But seriously, i pretty uncomfortable and anxious when I first started watching this. It took me about 20min to relax and really appreciate the fact that these people prob spent more time on this video than any amount of time I spent on my fan fiction. So major props to them.
Anyhow.
