becoming a writer...

i became a writer because everyone else was talking and they wouldn't pay attention unless I wrote my words down and showed it to them.

i became a writer because i prefer the world in my mind better than a fake filter excuse for reality.

i became a writer because at the end of the day you're left alone with your thoughts and your characters.

me, 30 seconds after opening my doc: i deserve a break. i’ve earned it

the number of times i’ve accidentally written entire scenes that contradict everything else in the story is honestly impressive

Also me: *writes down 20 ideas some random night when I’m definitely supposed to be long asleep*

(And then proceeds to post it on tumblr instead of finally getting some rest)

i start every writing session with the same delusional confidence that i will actually get something done this time

me 250 words into a chapter: Gosh, how am I gonna make this at least 2500 words?
