We live in a wicked world of sin and evil. But when we walk in the light of Jesus and abide in His truth we'll break free from every lie and deception of the enemy as we overcome evil with good.

The moment we place our faith in God through adversity the greater degree of our victory. He is the mountain mover, the prayer fulfiller, and the fire starter. The heart of revival begins deep within us and we influence the world around us.

We go to counselors, therapists, and doctors to help us with our sicknesses. But have you ever thought for one moment about the work of the Holy Spirit? He is the Wonderful Counselor. The Adviser, Helper, and Comforter. We can go to Him with any problem, trial, storm, difficulty, or adversity. He won't turn us away. He is there to give us hope, peace, healing, strength, and life.

Refuge of Mercy

The Lord is gracious and compassionate slow to anger and rich in love. Psalm 145:8

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient with you not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

I strongly believe that God's love and patience outweighs His anger and judgement. His mercy and grace will ultimately reign above all. To defy this would be to contradict who God truly is. God is love and He bears our pain. He is also a God of consuming fire that doesn't tolerate sin. He is still a God beyond second chances. He is faithful, just and true.

Strength Of My Heart

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God. Psalm 43:5

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26

A lot people go through life with a heart condition. It's one of the most common things that people struggle and deal with. Not only physically but also spiritually. The problems, stresses, anxieties and sorrows of life weigh the heart down. Life doesn't have to be so heartbreaking. When our hope is anchored on God and His Word then our heart will find strength. Though we falter and our hearts feel overwhelmed God is our strength and peace.

The best way to be free from anxiety is learning to give it to God. Taking a stand to live one moment at time, one step at a time and one day at a time. Don't worry about tomorrow. Don't worry about what's going to happen. Trust in God to take care of things. Let Him take over every area of your life. Fix your thoughts on Him. Don't think too much. Just rest in the calm of His presence.

God Will Make A Way

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19

Sometimes we reach places in life where God is silent. We wonder where our faith truly stands. We give in to fear and anxiety. We feel that we’re not where we should be. But these are the places where He is more near than we can imagine. He is our living water and the lifter of our heads. We will never face anything in this life alone because He is faithful. He will make a way through our sorrows, difficulties and heartaches. He will lead us through the darkest nights and bring us into something more glorious. We will reach the places of peace, healing and restoration. Wherever we go His presence is with us and we can face anything unafraid.

Call on the Name of Jesus and every chain will be broken. Every darkness will submit to His light. Every valley of oppression will become a haven of hope. Fear is driven out and love conquers. His truth will set every captive heart free.

God does not look at our mistakes and failures to bring us down or condemn us for our imperfections. When God looks at us He sees something beautiful no matter what we have done or how far we have drifted from Him. We can step forward knowing that God forgives us and that His mercy goes beyond our deepest shame. When we fall God is there to pick us up again and lead us to a place of His divine grace.

It was never your battle to begin with. It was never something you had to fight against. The victory comes by letting go and letting God. The conquest comes by choosing to surrender and ceasing to struggle.

Being a Christian or a follower of Christ doesn't mean that you're better and holier than the world. Being a Christian is desperately seeking God no matter what. Being a follower of Christ doesn't make you superior and favored over the world. Being a Christian is courageously treading on amid adversity.

As humans we sometimes want things to be picture perfect. We try so hard to make things fit exactly where we think best. Then when things don't go as planned or we miss the mark we get disappointed. But God has something different in mind. He wants us to lean on Him in our imperfections, frailties and mishaps. It's only when we learn to see ourselves through His eyes and grasp the beauty and grace of living.

Knowing the grasp and hold God has on our lives makes a difference and a powerful impact. Knowing His hands are reaching out to us and never turning us away gives us the hope to keep pressing on. Knowing His presence and His promise to never leave us gives us a purpose and confidence to trust in Him.

Our circumstances don't change who God is, He remains faithful and good no matter what. Even in a fallen world He remains gracious and merciful to us. By the power of His Word and the blood of Jesus He makes all things new.

Beware of focusing too much on the negative things that we miss the good things happening. If we spend too much time dwelling on the bad things happening in our world then we'll be consumed by fear and doubt. Let us think on the hopeful things of life and God.
