What it means to be a Jedi

This moment in Star Wars Rebels is so hauntingly beautiful, hopeful and achingly sad at the same time.

Ezra Bridger (age 18) has just lost his master. He's walking away from the Jedi Temple after just witnessing his master die the very same death in the World Between Worlds, understanding there was nothing he could have done to save Kanan and learning what it means to let go.

This was the walk of a Jedi with the resolve to do what needed to be done, knowing he might have to say goodbye to his new family in order to save Lothal.

This Ezra had to overcome his worst fears just to reach this point, and he was able to do so.

He wasn't trained by a Jedi master. He was trained by a padawan who survived Order 66. Kanan had so much doubt in his skills as a Jedi when he began training Ezra, but when destiny called for Ezra, Ezra met it without fear, just like Kanan had.

I just finished my Rebels rewatch and I’m coping by making dumb comics.

But for real, it’s a good thing I came to the fandom late and had certain events in s4 spoiled for me, otherwise I probably would have sobbed until I threw up. I don’t know how anyone that watched it live on TV survived.

Since Mandalorians were hunters first and foremost; and since they take trophies…

I think mandos ought to have traditional crafts that make use of those kills. Not just dried meat, but ornaments and clothing of leather and bone and teeth and shell. Everyday utilitarian items. Yes they may be an industrial society now, but some elements of that tradition ought to survive.

I haven’t done rebels art in so long. But I’ve graduated college!1 I’d like to say expect more this summer but I’m unreliable. Anyways, i just can't believe that my sweet hippy fun happy go lucky dad had his eyes burned out by an evil man who wanted to steal his son from him. And then he rotted alone for months in grief. And leaving all that weight of war and guilt on the very son he did his best to protect that day

I don't have any idea how Ezra will look in the next Ahsoka season. I just use the haircut the actor currently has and the outfit from Rebels Season 3-4. It was the best I could think of 😅

I'll probably edit/redraw/repost an accurate version when they release the first trailers.

being hera syndulla immediately post-swr is actually terrifying. you’re a traumatized young woman who just watched the love of your life die saving you after you spent the last few years barely making time for your relationship, and then right after that the boy you saw as a surrogate son flung himself into space. maybe if you’d come up with a better plan faster he wouldn’t have had to? and maybe none of this would’ve happened if you hadn’t gotten captured? and why didn’t you make more time for him??????

then you’re still fighting a war and you’re grieving and through it all you’re still trying to pick up the pieces and take care of what’s left of your family and be there for them because they’re grieving too and now you’re PREGNANT with the child of your late partner, and now you have to make this life-altering decision with a ticking clock, with every reason to keep the baby and every reason not to and also you’re still fighting a war and there are still people that rely on you and you’re going to become a mother and your mother is dead by the way!!! in case you forgot!!!!

i think hera should get to kill anybody she wants to
