Human Buffaloes

‘If I could tell you only one thing, My message would be like this; The world would be a lonely place If you did not exist.’ But I never did, I couldn’t. You could Of thought it was the beginning Of a love story but as always it Wasn’t. Crushing on you got In the way of normal day life, things I could do without thinking now Took effort that was not available Due to trying to avoid which to Extreme measures took me to Run up a flight of stairs to avoid Being stuck in a crowd of human Buffalos with you. The sad thing is That you didn’t notice my absence which I felt like you should’ve due to me wanting attention or recognition but you totally ignored the fact that I was gone. Normally I would sit next to you But my feelings pushed me towards An empty toilet stall. My social anxiety not wanting to participate in social Interaction of any sort making it worse to no longer fall back on you without feeling electric shocks bolt through my body. Every time I touch your skin my cheeks heat up and spiders crawl Down my spine. My lips tingle in anticipation and my hands grow clammy and I have to restrain myself from pulling you closer to me. My stomach also either erupts in butterflies or becomes a boy scout knot. Your personality is sweet like fresh apples while mine is bitter like olives, your portrait is painted in colour but as always mine is colourless with smudged sides. You can do anything gracefully but i’m just a elephant with a lack of balance. You grew up on the Sunny side while I lived in the shadows of your high buildings. But comparing us we are total opposites but somehow I can be attracted to your tea smelling existence. So i’ll avoid you till I forget you which Might take some time but you will never know i’m waiting.
