It starts like this. Your parents make an agreement with the Kamisato clan to betroth their eldest children. You in hand in hand with Kamisato Ayato. He carefully brought his lips to your fingers, looking up at you with interest.
It starts like this. You enter the Kamisato Estate for the nth time, waving to the eldest daughter, Ayaka. Her periwinkle locks bounce as she waves back, a slight pink dusting her face. Ayato notices, of course, but remains silent as he takes your hand.
It starts like this. You have fallen in love with a Kamisato. However, it wasn't the one promised to you. You confide this in your soon to be husband, who flashes a practiced smile and nods, affirming he holds no grudge.
It ends like this. Ayato sitting at his desk, hands intertwined with his locks as he wonders what happened. What did his sister have that he didn't? All he could do is wonder while he watched you dance with his sister in the moonlight, nothing but pure love in your eyes.
He doubts you've ever looked at him like that.
