even though dickory isn't as popular in the fandom as Hickory I've been recently fascinated with his character and how things might have been for him growing up.

Cause the guy obviously is skilled in bounty hunting and loves his brother but ever wonder about any possible loss chances he might had to let go cause of like his status as a bounty hunter?

like this purely my own headcanon but I've always imagined that bounty hunters aren't exactly that well respected in the trolls world. Feared yes but not respected.

And my little brain latched onto that line and now I'm somehow dipping my toes with possible dickory lore of him being bounty hunter because that's all he's ever known in his life

and then I started thinking of him maybe being the breadwinner of his family and then he ends up getting hickory in bounty hunting because that's the only place and world dickory ever knew he would have a chance at keeping his brother safe because it was familiar to him

and then when Hickory eventually start getting independent and wanting to get out of bounty hunting he tries to find other paths he could have despite being looked down on for being a hunter

then Dickory just getting flashes of the chances he could've had if things were better for him but now he thinks its just too late for him cause he gave up trying

Are you getting the vision or am I just sounding incoherent right now???

An idea inspired by one of my favourite Japanese films, Linda Linda Linda and my love for listening to different genre covers for original songs! 

There is a music contest for the band who can perform in different genres from what they are familiar with. Demo is in there because headcanon: metal isn’t something he has dabbled in often. It also helps having some guide XD

The group was struggling to find their vocalist when they by chance discovered Synth has a very powerful metal scream. It takes a lot of convincing since rock/metal is a genre he doesn’t have confidence pulling off, but he ends up really getting into it.

Reminders for fanfic writers who think it “doesn’t count”

✦ Your writing counts. like, a lot. If someone felt something because of what you wrote, then it matters. That scene you almost didn’t post? Yeah. Believe me, someone out there bookmarked it for a reason.

✦ Writing existing characters doesn’t make it “less than.” You’re building arcs, crafting dialogue, emotion, pacing. You’re studying character psychology like a scientist. That’s not ��just fanfic,” that’s storytelling.

✦ “but it’s just fanfic” ...no. STOP, it’s craft. It’s understanding tone. It’s hitting emotional beats. It’s layering theme and backstory and prose into something people feel. You’re doing the work, you just don’t get graded on it. (Which, honestly is a blessing.)

✦ Writing fanfic means you love stories enough to live inside them. You care, deeply. You care enough to reimagine, to explore, to add something of yourself to a world you didn’t create and somehow still make it feel brand new.

✦ Someone out there rereads your fic like it’s their favorite book. Maybe they’ve saved a line to their notes app,or they quote it to a friend. Maybe they just think about it when they’re having a bad day. That little fic you almost deleted, it’s comfort now.

✦ Your comments section is real. Every “I needed this” and “this made me cry in a good way” is proof, you don’t need a book deal to matter. You don’t need a publisher to have an impact, because you already do.

FANFIC IS WRITING! Fanfic is yours.

You’re not “just” anything. You’re a writer, own it. Be proud of that.

Bruce is sneaky!

Bruce runs a restaurant that mostly caters to the inhabitants of Vacay Island, all of which are WAY bigger than him.

This would naturally lead to logistical issues with serving food, but Bruce has designed his place to account for this in an interesting way.

He put in deep, inground pools instead of tables.

Doing this puts his customers mostly at his eye level, and means he doesn't have to haul full plates up and down giant tables.

BUT, the pools have another, hidden feature!

They make people eat more!

Biologically, being in water, even if your not moving very much, burns more calories than sitting still on a chair.

You don't usually notice while you're in the water, but it uses more energy; which makes you hungrier, so you order more food!

The pools are also indoors, in the shade; so unless they have built in heaters, they are probably somewhat cool (not cold, that would turn people off).

Cool/cold water burns even more energy, as your body works to regulate your temperature.

Notice that the food preparation area, while also sunken, has no water in it. That's because they know about the extra energy use, and don't want the cook getting tired!

Bruce and Brandy have very cleverly designed their restaurant to get the most out of it. Hungrier customers via improved ascetics!

Ladies, Gentlemen and everyone in between, I started this on 22/December/ 2023 have finally finished 07/August/2025 with 29 Chapters

To everyone who has enjoyed this story and has patiently waited for the final chapters.

I am sorry it has taken me so long,

But I am happy to say even if they are short, I have closed this to hopefully the best ending it can have.

Its been a long road and im glad that Trolls Band Together came out when it did, becuase if I ever needed a comfort movie and a random to fall into it was this.
