Vikavolt/Regieleki
1/11/23
Record: Mew—W; Tina Box—L; Tina Box—L; Arceus/Charizard—W
Probably could have gone 3-1 or even 4-0 if I was playing more optimally, but the deck does suffer from needs-the-correct-start syndrome, nonetheless. I want to give the deck more practice, but I also recognize that it does have internal issues that improved piloting can’t fix.

Lost Box (SableZard + Greedent)
1/8/23
Record: Tina Box—L; Tina Box—W; Lugia—W
I think I like Lost Box in its more consistent form with a straightforward strat. Big set-up pay-offs like Kyogre and Amazing Ray are fine, but I want to maximize the consistency most of all, as that’s the key to winning with this deck, imo. The more switch options are much appreciated vs. a Kyogre list, as well.

Lost Box (Kyogre)
1/7/23
Record: Tina Box—L; Shadow Rider—W; Lightning—W
Still not a huge fan of Kyogre, as it can be slow and/or tricky to set up. I honestly used Radiant Greninja for more KOs than Kyogre. Snorlax and Zeraora have also been very useful.

Lost Box (Kyogre) (short 1 Rod for the list, ran a Balloon)
1/4/23
Record: Lugia—W; Tina Box—W; Lugia—W
Hard deck to get a handle on from scratch, but the consistency is pretty good. Not sure if I’m a huge fan of Kyogre, and more switch effects would be nice for the early game.

Kyurem/Palkia (same list)
12/31/22
Record: Mew—W; Lugia—L
Final round bye. Couldn’t find the energy to do the things in both games. Rough starts are the bane of this deck’s existence; almost never a brick, but periodically slow by a turn or two.

Kyurem/Palkia

Record: Giratina Lost Box—W; Giratina Lost Box—L
Had a R1 bye, and had a very slow start in R3. The deck still flows well, but slow starts are an occasional risk.

Kyurem/Palkia
Arlington Regionals 12/17/22-12/18/22
Record: 7-6-2 (Day 2 finish)
Season CP: 40/500
A lot of poor starts on Day 2, after a harrowing Day 1, but I still think the list is amazing. Rethinking what to take in the future because starting off consistently is so key in this format; not starting perfectly is almost a death sentence in this meta. 40 hard-earned points, nonetheless.

Palkia/Kyurem (same list)
12/14/22
Record: Giratina Lost Box—W; Vikavolt—W; Eternatus/G. Weezing—W
Deck performed just as it should, playing through good openings and less ideal ones to always achieve the desired game state. I’m really starting to get a deep feel of this deck. Opponent kind of bricked a bit after the first few turns of the last match, but I still had a decent route to winning, even if that hadn’t happened. Feeling really good about Arlington.

Record: Cinderace VMAX—W; Vikavolt/Regieleki—W; Lucario VStar—W
First two opponents bricked, but R3 was pretty good. Second Switch and fourth Training Court are both good changes. Runs pretty well; just need to work out each match-up for Regionals.

Palkia/Kyurem (same list, -1 Collapsed Stadium and -1 Air Balloon, and +1 Training Court and +1 Switch)
12/7/22
Record: Mew—L; Lost Box—W; Lucario VStar—W
Really rough start against Mew: got fairly close to winning despite this, but not great. Deck is good, but I need to tighten up my play, for certain.

Record: Dustox—W; Mew—L; Palkia/Kyurem—W
Deck ran mostly fine, but didn’t start super well against Mew, and that can be rough. Still pleased with the list, although I am questioning Collapsed Stadium a bit.

Palkia/Kyurem (same list)
11/30/22
Record: Lost Box—L; Dragapult—W; RS Urshifu/Arceus—W
Deck had weird shuffles and draws all day: weird things like all 3 Kyurem VMAX in a row or 5-6 energy in a row in deck while searching. Lost Box won by sticking a second Path while my hand was low, and I bricked hard. Other matches were a little odd, but not too bad. Not sure what to say, except that my shuffling might need to be longer, and involve more pile shuffles. 🤷♂️

Deck ran really well, and Phoebe definitely earned her place (finally) in the last match, allowing me to push through Miltank.

Speed is key. Deck ran exactly as it should. I still need to refine my gameplay with it, but the deck itself is very fluid and aggressive.

Winning coin tosses is very helpful, but actually beat PalkIntel going second. Radiant Greninja’s attack was very useful, and the deck just did what it’s supposed to. I really enjoy this deck, and this list: probably my best pick for Regionals. Need to get the rarities streamlined for easy identification of prizes while playing.

I feel like this list performs a lot more smoothly. Trying out Piers to have access to Drapion and Crobat at different points. Irida may well be better overall, but Piers can grab Wash where relevant, which Irida can’t.
