so this nagging depression I am enduring has an unrelenting chokehold on me, and I am going to take the week off to see if I can come back from it. It's so much so that I just can't concentrate on doing replies, and I just don't have it in me right now to be here. While I am a Yule person, I am not a Christmas person, as I lost my grandmother during the holidays. While it was years ago doesn't mean the effect isn't that much more profound. This year, it's really gripping me, and I just need to take some time off. I truly hope everyone understands and thank you for your patience.

Sooooo— I did an avatar change yesterday, and I want to show you guys what the original piece looks like. So for those of you that don’t know, I’m obsessed with a jewelry line called Bloodmilk Jewels. This little beauty was inspired and slightly manipulated to form a perfect ouroboros circle, and while I’ve implemented this facet to Nausi over the last year, I want her Circle— possibly even her newly formed one that she’s creating to go against The Cult (they are no longer a coven in her eyes, just horrible people soldered together to make her life a living hell), to be called Coven Ouroboros / Circle Ouroboros. There will be a high council, which involves Nausi and four others, two flanked on either side of her, serving as her Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. So all of this was inspired by THIS set of earrings:

What I did was create a copy to onset over the other and erase the clasps to form the perfect circle. I just— love snakies and love the idea of her perfect Circle, how it should have been all along before she was betrayed. A true circle, and even an ouroboros represents unity. A brother and sisterhood. Infinity. Destruction and regeneration. A fertility of power. The cycle of death and rebirth. What goes around comes around. Vitality. Renewal. Community. Affinity. What it should have been all along.

SOOOOOO... I just wanted to say----- Happy Winter Solstice, Happy Yule Tide, mis amores! I was too busy ( and quite frankly at 4:21am I was dead to the world ) to post this earlier. This marks the shortest day of the year, and after today, we will have longer days leading up to our beloved Summer Solstice. The seasons and their representation mean so much to me as a witch, and I am just thinking of our dark lady Persephone, ruling in the Underworld with her husband at the height of her darkest aspect.

He has left Nausi a large purple bauble on her table and a couple of purple scented candles that smell of lavender. There is also a gold necklaces covered in purple jewels in the middle of the candles for her to find with a note that reads happy winter solstice love Lupin written on dark purple paper.

Sauntering over to her oldest friend from childhood, she couldn't help but envelope him in a hug, one that she knew would be returned on both sides. She knew that he had left this for her a few days back, but she wanted to open it on THE DAY. Today, being the first true day of winter and marking the shortest and coldest day of the year, it marked the halfway point between autumn and spring and the fact that there were only three more months left of darkness-- and that darkness was the heaviest that clung to earth's atmosphere. She slowly sniffed the lovely lavender candles, and touched the shininess of the metal with her index finger, marveling over each lovely amethyst gemstone.

❛ I adore this so much, Lupe! What would I ever do without your thoughtfulness? ❜ She grinned and looked out toward the vicinity of her home through the windows that showed an eclipsed view of a Winter Wonderland, the grounds touched by the year's first snow.
