Being a whump blog and only having whump come up on my dash is so funny, because half of it is, “Imagine caretaker stroking whumpee’s hair and telling them it’ll be alright” and the other half of it is, “Imagine whumper taking delight in whumpee’s suffering”

FOR THE LONGEST TIME I THOUGHT THIS WAS ONLY ME!

Ok so I didn’t know daydreaming about whump was so common?? Wow. It should work the opposite way but imagining being tortured and acting a little bit of it out helps me sleep?? I pretend I’m a character and rescued after and then fall unconscious in someone’s arms and it works every time. Sometimes it takes me longer so I pretend like I’m in the ICU afterwards, listening half-conscious as people whisper about me in concern

Joint dislocations are intense 😭😭 literally no way to be gentle when fixing it and all your nerves and arteries and everything are all at risk because your skeleton was forced to pop out of place. What!!

I feel like I only ever see it done with characters who've had it happen before and can like... fix it on their own. There's definitely a niche for characters without that experience to have it happen tho 😌

Personally, for me it depends, but generally I like with a whumper as long as the whumper doesn’t do much other than injure/torture whumpee. I don’t like pet things or any sort of dynamic like that.

I know I said I won’t be posting any modern medicine things, but I’m having (very big) surgery next week and it’ll be an absolute waste if I don’t bestow upon you all some little fun facts about the whole experience for you to include in whump, should you so choose.
