Before "In or Out: Wala Namang Mali," there was the first-ever "Wala Namang Mali" in 2016 held at Pineapple Lab in Makati.
Let's travel back to the night we celebrated gender diversity through stories of love, hope, and bravery. And hopefully, you can join us in continuing this celebration on June 8, 2018 in B-Side, Makati! :)

The closet is a tricky thing.
Staying in it gives you safety, its darkness shielding you from the uncertainty of how those close to you will regard you the moment the light sheds on what you’ve been keeping. But it stifles you. The darkness grabs you by the neck. You can’t say it. You can’t show it. You can’t breathe.
Staying out of it is not so different. It could be liberating, yes. Being able to finally put it out there—body and soul free—yes! But it makes you vulnerable, too. To the saleslady in the supermarket, to the random stranger you saw in the restroom, to your hairdresser, to your coworkers and your boss, even your own family. Even your lover.
The closet is a tricky thing and just grappling whether to stay inside or not is probably the hardest thing.
But then again we can’t help but imagine a world without this closet. A world where you get to rise up to a new day everyday as yourself, fearlessly. Strut in the streets if you want to, fearlessly. Don that outfit you’ve been dreaming of, fearlessly. A world where you are you, fearlessly.
And so we beat on. That world is still a dream. The closet is still there, one door ajar. Beckoning. And whether we stay inside of it or outside, we will live with no shame because IN OR OUT, WALA NAMANG MALI.
And so we beat on, and on.
This June 8, 2018 at B-Side, Makati, we will beat on.
This is a fundraising event for the upcoming Metro Manila Pride March this June 30, 2018.
We have musical performances, spoken word poetry, and partner merchants.
Tickets are at ₱250
