It's so so so important that anyone developing an 3d or joining online 3d spaces understand just how horrible it is for you.

You will not stop after Iosing a couple. You will not stop even when you feel faint every time you stand or hyperventilate whenever your family decides to eat out (if you live with family). You will not stop when you have no energy to do anything. You will isolate yourself from friends so you can overexercise or avoid 3ating. You will feel guilty for everything you do.

Please please listen to everyone telling you to get out while you can because with time, you will be saying the same thing.

I've spent almost my entire teen years with this disorder. I would give anything to go back and stop myself.

when you start off on edblr you see posts like:

“if you’re new here, leave while you can.”

or

“get off of edblr before it destroys you.”

or

“it’s addicting here, you can’t stop once you start.”

BUT you don’t listen. so you venture into edblr, ignoring those posts. COMPLETELY oblivious to what you’re getting yourself into. maybe you’ve already struggled with ED for a while, or maybe you’re new to it.

after a little while on edblr, your mindset turns to this:

“i don’t know what people were talking about! this is great! i’m getting so much from this!! i’ve made so much progress.”

you enter the honeymoon phase where everything is bright and your ed is romanticized.

more time passes, and you realize what everyone was saying when you first entered edblr. you understand what people meant. now you want to let new members to this side of tumblr EXACTLY what you saw from others at the beginning of your journey.

BUT you know that wouldn’t help because

you didn’t realize it until you had already gone through it.
