Over a year ago, National Public Data (NPD), a search site for people, earned a place in privacy infamy for a security breach that revealed the personal data of 3 billion individuals (that's billion with a "b"). Now, after disappearing, NPD is back. As ZDNET sister publication PCMag reported, NPD is open for snooping again under a new owner, the rather mysterious-sounding Perfect Privacy LLC.

When you find your profile, click "View Full Profile."

Copy its URL.

Go to nationalpublicdata.com/optout.html.

Drop the URL into the "Your Profile Link" field and click "Request Removal."

Enter an email address, and the site will send you an email requesting that you click to confirm deletion. 

You'll need a separate email address for each profile you want to delete.

I am going to clarify that when I say "if your romantic pair would have no appeal as a platonic duo, they're going to fall flat", I'm not necessarily saying they needed to have a pre-existing friendship within the narrative. I'm saying that if you can't pitch the dynamic to me without referring to the fact that they think the other one is hot, they don't have a dynamic, they're just attracted.

the semantic drift of the term "liminal" genuinely pisses me off and i know its petty. LIMINAL IS A TRANSITIONAL STAGE BETWEEN TWO STATES- OR. IF WE WANT TO WIDEN THE BOUNDARY HERE. IT COULD BE ON THE VERY EDGE OF BECOMING SOMETHING ELSE. just because something is abandoned doesn't mean its liminal. in fact, that shopping mall was MORE liminal when it was dying off and shutting down outlets every month than it is 5 years later when the space is fully abandoned.

Honestly I think if you’re in an urban area there should always be at least one bench within sight. With so many people using the area there is no excuse for making us walk 5 min to find a dignified place to sit.
