Heartlands isn't just any band...we are a musical community from which to soak up experience and knowledge from all that we offer whether that be from concerts or contesting, or from lessons from our network work of established players. Above is Scott Gilchrist (our principle Euphonium player) gleaming some expert tips on breathing and sound production from Euphonium Legend - Jimmy Graham.

Having enjoyed Brass Band concerts over the years, Margaret Cruickshanks went out of her way to ensure there will plenty more to come in the future. After making her Ayrshire renowned tablet and selling it locally, Mrs Cruickshanks has donated £100 to Whitburn Heartlands Band. This extremely kind donation can go towards recruitment costs, new music and even instrument repair. An invaluable act of kindness that will go a long way to helping the development of our players!
