I’m about to step on some toes here in a big way but this is something I’ve noticed since I started lurking around nk fandom spaces and it’s been bothering me.

I noticed that the fandom always defaults Aaron Fox to white and insist that he must be white because of his hair colour. And even if Alessandro Juliani wasn’t half Chinese and didn’t look like that half, it would still come across as. Well. Racist. Because people of colour can have naturally blond or red hair.

And I’ve noticed that it’s always him drawn as white and given Eurocentric features (like green eyes because of his hair colour. He’s not Lloyd Garmadon, who is another case entirely and not to be discussed on this post.) and it’s like really? The one knight with a non-white VA?

(By the way, the only other non-white VA in the entire main cast was Vincent Tong. Who is also another case entirely and not to be discussed on this post.)

And while, yes, you can say Macy should be a woman of colour herself, I’m specifically discussing Aaron here.
