I’m very envious of people who work a job, make a decent living, maybe have some kids, watch their favorite TV programs, take one or two vacations a year – and are content. That is a great life as long as you feel good about it. I’m envious, and If I could do that I would. But, the way I’m wired, along with a lot of my friends, we HAVE to keep creating and connecting with life and others in a deeper way. And, so we do.

almost a month on the road. city to city to city. i feel like i’m on tour but without the performance and the entourage and the fans and the million dollar contract and, well, you get it. major props to entertainers all over. it definitely takes a toll on you mentally and physically. my mind is constantly ten steps ahead of what i’m doing and my feet are sore. every. single. day.
this trip is different from the other two. for starters, it’s completely planned. well, most of it. there’s little room for spontaneity or flexibility. it’s very much ‘go here’ ‘go there’ ‘be here’ ‘be there’ but it’s kind of worth it when i get to reunite with my beautiful friends here in europe. it’s wonderful to know i’m ‘expected’...to know they’re clearing their schedules for me...to know how much i am welcomed in their homes. it’s just absolutely sweet. and it’s worth all the planning and organizing i have to do. it’s not even worth complaining anymore, really.
always it’ll be the people on my trips that make my heart the fullest. that make me believe in the kindness of human beings. real, authentic, genuine people. who don’t expect anything in return. my friends are above and beyond amazing and i can’t thank them enough for their hospitality. i love them. so very much. but it is also the strangers that ignite that little spark inside of me that says, “this is why you’re here. this is all happening for you. this is the experience you need to have.” the strangers that inspire me to go forward. the strangers that make me understand life a little bit more each time.
i am so blessed. so lucky. so grateful for this month of bucket list check offs, pretty faces, deep conversations, and meals that make my tummy bigger every day.

There is a meaning behind every single thing that happens in your life. Everything is a sign or message, and everybody is a messenger. My dad used to tell me growing up: “everything is feedback.” It is. Everything in your life you have brought to it. Your life changes the day you decide it should. You are happy the day you decide you will be, or that you will take the necessary steps to facilitate it.
