I read an AITA post a few weeks back about a woman who liked having snacks in the bath when she's had a long day (a result of residual trauma iirc - the bath was her safe space). Her brand new husband of three weeks, a man twice her age who had no job, made her pay all of his bills and do all housework, and spent all day every day gaming because he wanted to make it as a Twitch streamer, had always been fine with this; but, on the day in question, had whisked her bath snacks out of her hands as she was on her way to the bathroom and tried to bin them, telling her it was time to 'break her of that filthy habit in his home'. She told him if he ever actually paid anything towards the house she owns outright he might get a say, took her snacks back, and had her lovely bath. He was since giving her the silent treatment.

(Obviously the judgement was an avalanche of 'NTA and also he's abusing you', which she agreed with, and decided to kick him out, so happy ending.)

Anyway I told my husband about this and he was outraged. "I would never do that!" he told me, furious. "I would find it adorable if you had bath snacks!"

Since then, every time I try to have a bath (which I only do as a rare treat) after about ten minutes there has been an anxious scrabbling at the bathroom door.

"Elanor!" he says. "Do you have bath snacks? Do you need anything?"

My answer is irrelevant. He brings me wine and poptarts. Now I have bath snacks. I'm a bath snacks person. Last time he was literally sleeping on the sofa when I went for the bath. Somehow this still happened. I now have an eager bathroom butler. How did this happen. I have never been so decadent yet bewildered.

Lmao I’d actually completely forgotten that I started this in 2014. I didn’t do very much with it for years. Then in 2019 I started working on it again but now! with a complicated messy love story mixed in! And a little less than a year after that I’m working on it like crazy bc inspiration.

And more than that... I’m... considering making this canon.

Well now I’m writing a what if series of scenes where the what if is what if he got a complete overhaul and regained a conscience and lost like half his ego and became a generally really good guy and then had to remember all the crap he’s done to people over the past 30-40 years and then what if he had to face all of them and talk with them and get beat up and stuff.

And just like I thought, the real Aniello would never get any sort of arc. If he hadn’t been force-fed a conscience and been stripped of his over-inflated ego, he’d be as much of a jerkface as ever even without the Shadow.

Ceron&Lyn: Including future children, they have 5 - Lucian, Ilaria, Kaleb, Felix (adopted), and a little girl I can’t remember the name of.

Rhett&Olivia (future children only): 5 or 6. Annalisa, Oliver, and 3 or 4 others I can’t remember the names of. I think there are twin girls in there. Everyone gets twins.

Aniello&Falesyia: Way more than you’d think, and far more than they should. I’ve only consciously named 3 of them: Samuel, Rhett, and Princeton, but there are... some... number of others. They cared for exactly 0 of them past the age of like... 4 at most. Some of them didn’t survive past that, and the ones who did were sort of... tossed.. somewhere. And even before throwing them out, it was mostly nurses/maids who did the actual caring because VERY OBVIOUSLY neither Falesyia nor Aniello were fit to actually be parents.

In the High School AU where Rhett grows up with them, though, he’s an only child. Probably because actually having to be around a toddler immediately made Aniello never want another ever. He wanted the kid so he could be a “Family Man” and rise farther in politics. Falesyia loves being a mom and having babies, though, so I’ve toyed with the idea of giving Rhett a brother or sister, (and a nanny), though. Someone to be compared to.

Serena: By “adoption”, Rhett and approximately 300 other people over the course of 20+ years, ranging in age from toddler to like 30-35 years old upon point of adoption. You are her child if she perceives you as her child, (i.e. with the 30+ group, it has a lot more to do with personality and whether she feels like she needs to protect you, rather than age).

Julius: I mean he lived for like 2500 years as one of the god-rulers of the world, so if you’ll excuse the pun: a fuck-ton.

Bonus! Sora&Lyn (specifically from SoraLynpocalypse): Lucian, Ilaria, Isam, Laela, and Arjun. Five kids, all biologically Sora’s and/or Lyn’s. 5 different father/mother combinations. It’s..... complicated.
