Kingdom hearts confessions:

The very first time i saw vivi i thought he was a shadow heartless wearing clothes

Up until recently i thought Seifer and setzer were original kingdom hearts characters

I miss kh1 Aerith (mandy moore) very much

To this day i resent that yuna’s kingdom hearts counterpart was not an island child with kh-verse tidus. I just like the idea of them being in love in every universe.

I actually need the series to touch on parental/familial relationships more. This isnt a nice thing to have mind you—i need this. Xeha-mom is beautiful but why did she give up her child? Who raised Xehanort on the islands? Kairi has an adoptive father and a grandmother she lost when her world fell—elaborate please?How much does Sora’s mom know about what he’s been doing all these years? Do the destiny trio write home or something? I always found it kinda strange that kh1 Sora was anxious for his friends but never mentioned his mother or father and didnt seem to be looking for them.

I actually prefer the kh2 graphics. UE4 is eye candy, wrapped up like a present and gifted to me on a platter. But i suspect the pretty graphics take too much space and thats why we didnt get to visit the worlds twice, have more mini games, etc.

I love the httyd soundtrack just as much as yoko’s music

I never bought melody of memory. Nor do i intend to unless it goes on sale for at least 90% off. THAT is not the kairi game i asked for.

My first REAL exposure to kingdom hearts was the manga, not the game. I found kh2 volume 1 at a school book fair in middle school and, blind to Roman numerals, thought it was kh1 manga. That is to say i met Roxas before Sora so he was always dear to me.

In reCoM i feared Namine was a ghost because of what Sora “remembered” about how she “vanished from the island.”

As a kid, after playing the games i rejected the manga thinking they turned the story into “some stupid gag comic.” Years later i returned to it and found i loved it.

If i were to ship someone with Sora besides Kairi it would be Ventus

I want very badly to explore the destiny islands again.

I miss Deep Jungle very much. Imagine what it would look like in ue4?

While I’m happy the series is getting darker with 3 and now khux, the khux ending left me too depressed to move or sleep well.

I am deeply afraid of kh becoming an anime. An irrational fear haha... i hope.

Kh1 was my first ever game in a long while. So my knowledge of things like equipping items, abilities, and using other weapons was, well, poor. That is to say i played through the whole game with only kingdom key and no abilities or accesories equipped. As for how i did that... i think i was on beginner mode? And i was determined.

Not much of a confession, as it seems this is the case for many others, but my first time meeting Cloud, Tifa and other ff characters was through kh games not their original games

Playing this game led to my being spoiled about ff7. When Cloud was introduced in Olympus Coliseum i stupidly asked aloud “Who’s that?” And my bro, a veteran ff7 player, answered “That’s Cloud—his girlfriend died in the original game.” Granted he didnt name her but Aerith seemed to fit the “soft girl slated for death” cliche and after the little interaction in kh2 i kinda put two and two together.

Shortly before 3D’s release i found a magazine with a small article about how TWEWY characters would be taking the place of FF characters in the game. In the article was a pic of Riku talking to Joshua, only it didnt mention Joshua’s name. I kid you not—i 100% believed Joshua was a woman. He’s way too pretty.

I borrowed each of the first three games released—kh1, ReCom, and 2–from my brothers. After 2´s completion i went looking for three in their bedroom too. About twelve years or so before its release.

I love the kh1 minigames—specifically trinity and puppies—the most.

I actually really enjoyed 3D and found the twist with Xehanort being a time-traveler fascinating. (Im on the fence about the player reveal in khux. Mostly im bothered that we can never get the player back, or their Chirithy, ever as I was hoping Player was Luxord or a replica like Xion—which may have helped explain their varying name/appearance.)

Olympus is my least favorite world at this point

I recently started replaying 3D with the sole intention of creating a dream eater and making this offer to my sister: “Would you like to pet it?”😏😏😏 i plan to name all my dream eaters after khux players so TELL ME YOUR PLAYER NAMES PLEASE.

My best friend hates kingdom hearts, has always hated it since we were kids. She recently tried to play it again and said “the story and music are so annoying i hate it so much” to which i replied “those are the things i love most about it but okay.” 🤣🤣🤣

Whatever kingdom hearts game is announced at e3, if any at all, will be wholly ignored by yours truly until its release. That is to say i plan to go in blind to future games since they spoiled 90% of 3 in the trailers. Its gonna take a will of titanium tho so cross all crossable limbs for me please...
