Also the fact 20 million of those dollars ALLEGEDLY went straight to lining chris' pockets .... what
Got reminded of my earlier tes post today when i checked the notifs . And while it hasnt aged POORLY, per say , the hoping-for-atleast-a-somewhat-decent-adaptation mindset i kept for so long after finding out a solid yr ago it was gonna be adapted into a movie (all the articles and interviews covering it pre-trailer seemed to bode so, so well!! (Distraught)WHAT HAPPENED) has been shifted into shit-adaptations-can-still-be-good-movies if pulled off well enough, because ,lets just say.... i do NOT trust netflix marketing or trailers
Theyre so universally ass.you could watch the best netflix show to ever grace this earth, and then accidentally view the trailer in retrospect and be glad you didnt beforehand because it sucks SO badly you would've never watched the series otherwise. (and also because im kind of delusional about what this movie COULD be like. Fingers crossed its atleast a 6/10)
Conclusion: If i had to punch my artistic integrity in the dick to make a movie and trailer to fish as much general interest as possible so it could earn back its THREEHUNDREDANDTWENTYMILLION (?!??!?) dollar budget, i would too .goddamn. this could probably warrant a more indepth post and analysis about what We know so far about it (aka what information is available to the general public) and why the hell it is the way it is

I think all this worrying about the russo brothers directing is a bit unwarranted until the trailer drops. We have absolutely zero (zilch, nada) info on how its gonna feel. Cuz like the quieter and gentler moments of the gray man (2022) are handled VERY well and thats made by damn near the exact same people, so ive got hope yet i think. Im in a positive mindset : ears and eyes open and receptive for whatever the hell they've cooked up
#the electric state#Its not like directors Cant make anything outside their most made genre anyway#also the casting choices are funny as fuck to me but im so flabbergasted by chris Pratt playing this Guy they just made up so poor marvel#fans wont (god forbid!) have to sit through a 3 hour long movie led by an 18 yo girl.how are they supposed to handle it otherwise
