The Marvel of Space Flight! A Visit to the Kennedy Space Center
Amid the turmoil of the turbulent 1960's, one of the most exciting and positive events I fondly remember was watching the live early morning rocket launches from Cape Canaveral. Huddled around our livingroom, our family's eyes were glued to the black and white Philco television set, in breathtaking silence as the rocket boosters spewed copious clouds of white smoke that engulfed the launch pad, before the Saturn V rocket finally lifted off the pad and into space. Those early years of the space race were heady ones, filled with exuberance and a hope for a bright tomorrow. The future of the NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) space program promised to free mankind from the confines of our troubled planet earth, once and for all.

A visit to Florida wouldn't be complete if it didn't include a visit to to Merritt Island and the home of the John F. Kennedy Space Center. This historical island, about six times the size of Manhattan, encompasses 140,000 acres, bordered by the Intra-Coastal Waterway on the west and the Atlantic Ocean on the east. It is home to NASA, where space technology integrates with the surrounding wildlife habitat.
Parking is free at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, and I chose the standard ticket (currently $38.00 for adults and $28.00 for children 3 - 11 years old) that included the bus tour that runs throughout the day.
I first checked out the Rocket Garden with examples of early Redstone rockets, propulsion systems, guidance systems and technology as new discoveries advanced NASA's scientists to develop tools and equipment to enable astronauts to probe further and for longer periods of time into the new frontier of space.
After that I boarded one of the sleek tour buses and watched a video monitor as the tour guide gave us instructions as to when to watch and when to look out the bus window. The retired gentleman at the wheel also pointed out interesting things to us as we traveled through the natural reserve. We passed by a lazy alligator languishing in a drainage ditch.
Once our bus neared the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB), which is the second largest building in the world per volume, the driver pointed out the enormous specialty crawler that transports the space shuttle and rocket to the launch pad. At one mile per hour, it creeps along on a unique gravel road bed designed to bear the combined earth crunching weight of the crawler and orbiter.
"I wonder what's going on here," remarked the bus driver as we observed employees gathered in groups sitting along the roadway. "I've never seen this before," he remarked with a note of concern in his voice. "Something must have happened." We discovered later that there had been a small fire inside the VAB and everyone was evacuated.
Our first stop was in front of the LC-39 Observation Gantry. The second floor vantage point allowed us panoramic views of the two space shuttle pads 39A and 39B. They were still quite a distance away, for safety's sake, separated by indigenous forest. The gantry also offered a bird's eye view of the VAB and Crawlerway. Once on the main floor, I joined others for a historical video about the Kennedy Space Center.
I hopped on another bus that took me along with a group of young students to the Apollo/Saturn V Center. It was here that the 'wow factor' came into play. Seeing the awesomely huge Saturn V rocket, even measured by today's advanced technology, is still the most complex device made by man! It dwarfed anything man made that I had ever encountered. Simply amazing! This completely restored example was first shown to the public in 1995. A model of the Lunar Rover is also on display here.
The doors opened to the adjacent room and there before us was the actual Apollo 11 Control Center, with details like tee shirts and jackets draped over the chairs, from the various contractors and suppliers like Boeing, IBM, etc. right to the same white ceramic tiles on the floor. Everyone was in reverent silence as the soundtrack played synchronizing with a colored light display that lit the affected command center areas, realistically depicting the events that took place that July day in 1969 when that historic launch that propelled Apollo 11 to the moon. That world landmark event that would result in the first men to walk on the surface of the moon. It was the fulfillment of the daunting promise of President John Kennedy to land a man on the moon by the end of the decade. The vivid memory of that hot July day when Neil Armstrong stepped off the ladder of the lunar module onto the soft blanket of fine dust of the moon's surface is permanently etched in the memory banks of my mind.

What Marvel Movie stands out?
Well, in order to answer the question, we need to know more about the movies. Despite of being released by the same movie productions, The Avengers and The Amazing Spiderman shares the same forte when it comes to its stories. Both stories are about hardworking superheroes trying to save the world from the evil created monster and also trying to figure out things behind their powers and behind who they are. According to James Marsh to his movie review of the avengers, the movie was great and the best movie for him. The story was full of suspense and excitement. The viewers were amazed as the different super heroes were perfectly fit together to create such films. Other movie review published talks the same way as Marsh. On the other hand, even though the movie just started showing, the amazing spider man continues to receive great comments and appraisal for its unique and interesting story flow. From its famous version of spider man where Peter Parker accidentally bitten by a spider and gained the super powers comes to its original comic story where the real source of his power was from his childhood grabbed its viewer's interest to watch the movie.
Both movies are amazing. There is no need to compare or ask what among the two the best are. Obviously, the production team of both Marvel Movie did a great job and both deserved the acknowledgement. They have reached the high expectations of the masses and as well as avoided such disappointment.

Avengers Infinity War Trailer One: Implications for the Marvel Cinematic Universe
what order to watch the Marvel movies. I'm going to go shot by shot and reference approximate timestamps and I'll include a link to watch the trailer in case you haven't seen it yet or want to follow along with what I've written.
It goes without saying that this article will contain spoilers for any of the Marvel movies that are out as of this writing, which is Thor: Ragnarok.
Tumblr media
OK, so here we go- The movie opens with Nick Fury beginning the "There was an idea to bring together a remarkable group of people" line, which is further read in part by other Avengers actors including Robert Downey Jr.
The opening shot shows a planet, possibly Earth, that is enveloped by a yellowish swirl, which seems to accompany Thanos' scenes.
Next, we see Bruce Banner laying in a hole, with Doctor Strange and Wong standing above him looking awed. Speculation is that they had sent Banner as the Hulk to stop Thanos and Thanos punched the Hulk out of him right back through the portal- this remains to be seen, but is not out of the realm of possibility given what we know from the trailer so far.
Next we see a humanized version of The Vision looking like Paul Bettany with a glowing gem in his head- he's seen here speaking with Wanda Maximoff, but is this a new form he's taken or is this what he looks like the Infinity Stone we see removed from him later on.
Thor looks out the window of the portable version of Asgard, then we see Bruce Banner with the gauntlet from an updated version of the Hulkbuster armor.
This suggests the armor will actually be worn by The Hulk, possibly to bolster his resistance to Thanos.
At about the 30 second mark, we have a properly reverential and slowed down intro for Marvel Studios- this is very appropriate with ten years of successful movies, with not a dud in the mix.
Then, Thanos makes his speech about the inevitability of destiny over Peter Parker literally having his arm hair stand on end in a Spider-Sense type moment as he sees Thanos' Stargate like machine that apparently allows he and his minions to travel to Earth, even though he has a huge ship as we saw in the end of Thor: Ragnarok.
Stark, Strange, Wong and Banner stand in the street, apparently reacting to the same portal Peter has spotted.
A set of feet make their way through bodies, possibly of the recently portable Asgardian people, then we see Loki hand the Cosmic Cube forward before Thanos steps though the portal.
Now we get to see the Spider-Armor in action on the portal before shots of Thor and the black Panther who orders the evacuation of Wakanda, activation of defenses and to get a newly bearded Captain America a shield.
This is interesting, because in Civil War, Cap left the shield behind when Stark told him it didn't technically belong to him.
We also hear Happy Hogan mention in Spider-Man: Homecoming, a new shield for Cap.
In the comics, there is an energy shield version, which could be what they give him or since it's Wakanda and they have a ton of Vibranium, they could make a technically superior version of the original Cap shield for him.
Incidentally, Rogers might not call himself Captain America anymore- he took other aliases in the comics including Nomad when he didn't feel aligned with America.
Now we see the Hulkbuster armor jumping along in a very Hulk- like fashion, which makes me think the armor has been modified to fit the Hulk. It even seems more filled out in the chest and back to allow for the Hulk to be inside.
I could be wrong.
Then we see some sort of ships land and cut to the obligatory monstrous beasts this time with four arms that the Avengers have to fight.
Now a shot of Thanos slamming Spider-Man to the ground and a shot of Tony in that yellowish haze, which matches the opening shot where Tony is holding the hand of someone assumedly deceased. The popular theory is that Spider-Man is one of the heroes who does not make it to the next Marvel movie.
