🌟 How do you write your songs down? What software do you use to create music? 🌟 I used to use Garage Band to make note of my ideas and create 'demos'. It worked well for me then as I could record directly from the piano and add vocal harmonies just by singing them! I have progressed a little and I use Musescore! The user interface is so simple, the software is free and it creates a really professional piece that you can listen to yourself, export as an MP3 or provide to performers so they can learn your piece! I am continuing to develop my abilities and find new ways to become a better writer and composer. The key to good storytelling is clearly defining the plot. If you can't summarise your story then you can't expect an audience to get what you are showing them. If you struggle with doing this for your musical try writing a summary of a show that you have seen. Try to sum up the plot of Wicked in 500 words trying to focus on what the biggest moments in the show are. Once you understand how these shows lay out their structure with the rise of tension to the climax and then the denouement you will be able to reflect this in your own plot!
