They played Kalafina's "Heavenly Blue" during the livestream
THEY PLAYED KALAFINA'S "HEAVENLY BLUE" DURING THE LIVESTREAM
And I was very surprised that they're going to release a special episode of Aldnoah Zero in March 2025.
After NINE years. AFTER THEY BUTCHERED SLAINE TROYARD AS A CHARACTER AND PUT ENDING TO THE MEDIOCRE STORYTELLING.
youtube
Ughhhhhh
I know I'll still be watching the special ep either way. But I'll continue dissing it.
Imagine. Anime with top-notch animation, talented voices, amazing songs (I'm not really into Hiroyuki Sawano but having both him and Yuki Kajiura in the same anime is almost like too good to be true), nice plot.
It's been on my watch list since long ago and finally watched it years ago. In the beginning it was fine but the progression of the story gets weirder by the passing episodes. And Inaho still treating Slaine as enemy despite all the help was a very big turn off for me. The backstories and conflict don't have as much impact as I expected. The plot is good but the storytelling and shallow world-building disapointed me.
I wonder how the writers will do this "special episode"

The different and sometimes tiring types of reactions to the neil gaiman allegations
- ‘neil didn’t write good omens’ (he did and we simply have to learn to separate art from artist)
- ‘how dare you think about anything else but the victims’ (people can care about multiple things at once + these allegations have been known for months and months?? some of us have processed this)
- ‘how do david/michael/etc feel about this’ (it’s none of our business)
- ‘donate to victims of sa’ (sure if you can)
- ‘bdsm is fine WITH consent’ (it is)
- ‘everyone is innocent until proven guilty and i refuse to condemn him’ (go read the article / enjoy being blocked by me)
- ‘his writing was always Problematic’ (learn to separate art from real life victims of sexual abuse please)
- ‘his writing can still mean a lot to you without you being a bad person’ (yes. just try to avoid giving him money maybe)
- ‘it’s just terf propaganda’ (it really really isn’t. and fuck terfs)
- ‘reminder to prioritise your own mental health, step away from online spaces if you need to, and: you have no obligation to read the entire article if it’s too triggering’ (true. you’re still a good person i promise)

I bet Silco could reach Vander inside Warwick. I bet Silco would trust to remember him ad not fight back.
In my restless dreams, Silco and Vander!Warwick got to meet
In this scenario Silco would have to survive being shot and would go into hiding aka go back to their little hideout. He did not see this one coming, though

I love when people ask me things like, “Why do you ship GureShin?” or “Why do you like Guren?”
And like, I could link the 3567 essays I’ve written about him and his storyline. About the depths of the light novels. About how they are a unique dynamic in media.
But instead I point to him and just go, “He make brain brr brr hard.”
Really though, media literacy has dropped so hard. I like Guren because he’s a character who exemplifies, No matter how bad you fuck up you can still at least try to do right by it.
It’s really simple. Our man has ruined so many lives, lives with crippling depression and is haunted by ghosts (Mahiru is a great metaphor for how regret and guilt haunt someone their ENTIRE life), and how it is better to repent than to choose to give up.
And as for GureShin? I don’t give a fuck if it’s never canon. It’s nice to see how someone like Shinya (who has little empathy) can find someone who inspires him. Idk. Whenever fandom uwuifies Shinya, I want to fight. Because he is not a good person. And like… they thing is Shinya, morally, is more questionable than Guren lmao. Shinya chose Guren BECAUSE he saw Guren as sentimental, morally inclined, and highly empathetic. Shinya wanted to adopt that atmosphere as his own, which is why he holds Guren at a high standard for it. Shinya sees Guren burn out and tries to remind Guren of why he believes in Guren — of who Guren is at his core.
If this ship and character aren’t for you, fine. But people really gotta stop posting anti things in the tags.
