I’ve dabbled a little about the idea of Tintin not 100% grasping some Anglophone figures of speech before, but my fave headcanon rn is that he doesn’t get that “pardon my French” means “I apologize for cursing,” but instead uses the phrase literally to apologize for whenever he slips into French around non-Francophone friends and colleagues. Captain Haddock has to pull him aside at some point and be like “Tintin, that……..that’s not what that means…….”

I can’t believe it been 6 years since the Tintin movie came out. Time sure do flies. I was 15 when it came out. but i didn’t enter the fandom til I was 17. i’m in my early 20’s now. like wow.  next 4 years and the movie will be 10 years old. my god.
