Love should be your safe place. So please, just don’t give the best parts of yourself to someone who doesn’t see the value in what they are receiving. Don’t settle for anyone who doesn’t look at you and know, without hesitation, that they want to stay.

You can love someone and still choose to say goodbye to them. You can miss a person every day, and still be glad that they no longer in your life

Marcus Aurelius: “If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself but to your own estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.”

We can’t choose what happens to us in life, but we can choose how to respond to it.

just writing down and breaking it down trying to understand what is the problem
and why did I feel like "it shouldn't have happened to me"
and I realized that...
it was all to do with changing your perspective, like,
"seeing okay...
this has happened to me but how can I grow from it... this has happened to me because of a reason and if I'm not learning the lesson then it will keep happening to me over and over again until I learned the lesson
I don't think the universe or God or anybody is trying to do things to harm you it's for you to grow deeper and understand yourself better
and grow in a way that maybe you don't realize at the time..
but....
for reflecting back you'll be able to say....
damn....
like that's why I became like this like this is what made me stronger

we must keep in mind that our primary goal is not to accomplish our tasks but to raise our self-esteem to do that you don't need to concern yourself over how much or how many accomplishments are necessary because all it takes is the accomplishment of just one task in order to begin feeling better about yourself

What Makes People Successful?
When we think about success, we can think about all the things that we don't have going for us. We can fixate on the privileges that we don't have but when we do that, we blind ourselves to the unfair advantages, the competitive edge that we do have. We often don't appreciate that wherever we are, whatever stage of life we're in, we've got so much to be grateful for. As Ash and Hasan talked about in their book, "It's not about focusing on the negatives, "it's about knowing the realities "and leveraging the unfair advantages "that we do have to help us live our best lives."
