im not all that passionate about shipping actually..! but i really enjoy push-and-pull dynamics in character relationships and i love the many forms love can take (rinniki #1)... like i want them to have internal and interpersonal problems that they either successfully solve together and keep growing (ie chiakana) or try to ignore to a fault (wataei, rinhime). i'm quite uninterested in the classic depictions of intimacy, i want to see them either force each other to grow or become more evil together. like THAT'S COOL!!!! sometimes what's left unsaid and undone has more weight.

let me paint you a rly stupid picture as an example of intimacy... imagine 2 characters who have maybe a weird tension between them that they can't address. pick any 2 you can think of who are not necessarily romantically linked. they are out driving one night and hit bigfoot on the road, and they have to clean that mess up together and also make sure the other is ok; then maybe even run away from a surviving bigfoot and hide together etc. think of them; would they be stressed? would they have fun? after this intense night a beautiful unique bond is now forged between them forever and nobody can take this away from them... THAT is romance to me.... 😭

i'm compelled by most ships where the dynamic becomes interesting/tense and it makes sense for the characters! also if it's very funny. basically it boils down to that i enjoy a lot of things. the enjoyerrrrrrrr
