I went to the beach on a cold windy day. It was quiet, nothing but the sound of the waves crashing into the rocks, the wind blowing, sun shining. A seagull flew down and walked around the edge of the water. I watched him walk in and out of the waves for a long while. Other seagulls flew above and he communicated with them. I watched him fly away into the sun, over the water. I stood there and watched the waves ripple into each other. I watched until I was calm, serene. I didn’t want to be anywhere else. I stayed there until I was so cold, that I was numb. Nature is beautiful.
