The blog for this very weird coroika fantasy au is accepting asks and questions regarding the au!

You can ask things about any character in the au, as they're all here, about worldbuilding specifics, and basically anything else (including ships.) The story is in a very early stage atm, so expect details and designs to shift about a lot.

Because the future author of the au is better at drawing than writing, answers may be drawn to different levels of polish.

in this au goggles is a demon (from what i've picked up) and in my own fantasy au goggles is an angel so that's kinda funny

i wanna draw them together sometime they'd be good friends considering they're the same person

go ahead draw himmmmmmm

goggles isnt being possessed by a demon exactly, the entity is more of an accidently revived god that the xblood wanted to get power from, but goggles wandered into the ritual and got be-vesseled (turned into the gods link to reality)

btw the genre is pretty dark fantasy compared to ur au sooooooo

ok. theyre like the rito from botw but less falcony. theyre bipedal birds that arent hybrids they are fully in the avium classification family.

hmmmmm jet is a rooster (trans moment), fierce is a kestrel (ill make him short bc kestrels are eeny), and justice is a barn owl

Hi I'm back for part 2 the electric boogaloo (the RIGHT blog this time) What does Specs exactly specialize in? What is Gloves? Does Emperor ever become good or is he a bad guy the entire time? What does Prince do about it? Are there any characters that grew up together who are NOT siblings? Last of all, what are the guardians and what do they do? (Fierce, Jet, and Justice?)

Specs is the team healer! he has a big old staff and a bag of holding full of more traditional healing things for when magic fails him. Healing magic in this au isnt foolproof and is basically just accelerating natural processes, so it leaves scars, it cant bring back lost limbs, and wont repair ailments and disorders ppl have from birth, nor can it cure psychological problems. but specs always finds something that helps whoever needs it.

ok i always forget that gloves exists so idrk yet but i think hes going to be someone working in emperors palace who helps the regicide plan by being a corrupt guard basically who lets the s5 get to emperor

ill explain why the s4 are trying to regicide later but team blue are in the plot bc they walked in on a big crime ring and the crime decided they would be useful ill explain it better later

hmmmmmmmmm emperor kinda fucks off out of the story so he doesnt really get better in the story but he does eventually after real long time

prince has complicated feelings about emperor but he is very glad that the empire is under the control of someone thats actually trying. prince also exiles emperor lmao and pardons the losers who tried to kill a demigod with no real plan. prince just lets emperor do whatever in exile.

i put so much effort into emperors backstory and no effort into what happens after the plot uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

specs and goggles met when they were like 5 so they've basically spent their lives together. they met bobble when they were around 10 and then headphones a few years later and soooo theyre unbelievably close. a lot of the s4 have been close for a while especially between the teams and also aloha having known rider for years and years. the guardians are all best buds from birth practically as well and the xblood are all school buds. awesome. friendship.

The guardians are probably going to have the same role as they do in the manga (putting team blue thru trials to keep them from a big dangerous weapon) and all of them are bird ppl so i can draw more wings yippee i have not thought abt them much yet

this shit really fucking long so it's below a cut

forge and army are fraternal twins and partners in crime! prince, emp and pearl share a city-god for a father with all different mothers in a very strange and fairly unhealthy relationship. I haven't got any later in the plot than x-blood but fierce and jetflame are probs siblings as well.

Emperor is bad bc he ignores and neglects the wholeass empire he has bc he was born into the position but he does keep the capital running smoothly bc he lives there and can't ignore that. he also tries to kill all the s5 + their teams + team blue but they were trying to kill him :/

once he proves truly how inept of an emperor he is, his divine power abandons him and prince immediately secures the throne, pardons the attempted emperor-killers and removes power from npacer and edging, whom emperor had relegated many parts of the empire to, despite only one of them being trained to rule (edging).

it's a tricky situation so emperors not exactly bad, just fairly irresponsible which becomes very bad when his responsibility is a military based empire.

sry lmao I enjoy medieval court drama

moon elfs are just a culture of elves that worship the moon as their primary god and also heavily emphasize elemental water magic (I'll eventually need to explain the magic systems of the au) among society.

bobble is particularly skilled at water magic (which is basically atla waterbending without the healing, calm vibes) but also wanted to escape her father who was super pressuring her into using her skill to gain money and fame for himself. so she does leave with team blue to travel the world as soon as she meets them basically.

but she still likes her home and just wishes her dad wasn't in her home so she does a whole lot of stuff she did in her town but with team blue (ie making her mom's type of cooking, practice of water magic specifically in her towns style, writing letters to family in the elven script) bobble misses her mom :(

ok yeah rider hurts himself all the time with lightning magic, mainly bc he lacks control over it bc magics kinda tied to emotional stability, so he keeps frying his hands. he's also got a whole bunch of sensory disorders bc of the autism and lightning is very flashy and bright so he sometimes gives himself sensory overload when he's training lmao. he'll never tell a soul tho.

ALOHA IS NOT A COWBOY I JUST COULDN'T THINK OF WHAT HAT TO GIVE HIM HES NOT. THE STORY TAKES PLACE IN AN AREA WHERE THE COWBOY ENVIRONMENT NEVER EVEN OCCURS. NO COWBOYS. NO HISTORICAL INACCURACIES IN MY MAGIC SQUID FANTASY FANFIC AU.

uhhhhh emperor is by far the strongest, by virtue of being a demigod, and thus having unlimited use of magic, allowing flight and death lasers and making floating weapon copies. but he does get nerfed into oblivion after goggles kicks his ass so after that it's probably npacer or edging bc they got god magic after making a blood pact with emperor that made them all siblings in the eyes of gods. ok.

wizard hivemind has won ur heart but how lame he is in the actual story will dissuade u I promise.
