Day 3 - Breakfast Well oatmeal definitely isn't my favorite, but it was pretty filling. Especially with the grapefruit in it. Next time when I'm out of grapefruit, I should use a fruit that is less wet. The grapefruit was really intense. But I have some news! I'm at 283 lbs! I'm actually not too surprised. Water weight and other factors can drastically change your overall weight so having a 7 pound shift is pretty normal for me. But I'm still going to log it into MyFitnessPal. ^_^ I think this will be easier if I post whenever I eat something then have my total calories with exercise at the end of the day. I forget how stuff appears on Tumblr and whether or not it is in chronological order... I'll have to check. Regardless 😤 we are going to kick butt and lose some weight!

Day 2 - Completely Forgot to Post
I forgot that Tumblr really doesn’t like brackets…I had a whole post typed out and it erased it. Live and learn.
Well to summarize, I didn’t have a weigh in for Day 2. But I stayed beneath my calorie limit.
I’m actually working through the bad food I have in the house while adding in the good food. This way, my bad food doesn’t go to waste and the new food gets added in gradually.
I’m also trying to curb my spending too on food and my discretionary income so I’m limiting myself to $50 a week. This way I can save for my long term goals.

Well I dont want to throw out perfectly good food. I’m going to cook me a burger. This actually ended up being a pretty bad way to start off eating right. I haven't eaten in so long that I went and overate when I know I shouldn't have. But I'm still going to keep my calories under control. This includes showering, running and walking and showering again.

Day 1 - Background and First Steps
Background
Welp it's 11:40 AM on July 22nd 2018 and it's about time to lose some weight. First things first, we gotta figure out how much we weigh.
*steps on scale*
Survey says...Yep you guessed it. A whopping 290lbs.
I want to be straight with you. Here are some solid facts about myself.
I'm 26 years old
I'm 6ft 2in
I weigh 290lbs
I'm Transgender
I identify as female
I want to lose weight
Historically for the past 2 years I've stayed around 290lbs and I am not confident in how I look
I'm going to do everything in my power to change myself to motivate other people to lose weight and to be a beacon of light to those who are struggling with weight loss.
So as we go forward we'll help each other get through this together. I will not judge you based on your nationality, your beliefs, your gender or anything else about you. We all have a right to be here and if you're here to better yourself then you've come to the right place.
First Steps
Okay, first of all, the realm of weight loss can be a slippery slope. From what I've researched, exercise can and is helpful to weight loss but what you eat is actually where you can make the biggest amount of head way. If I remember right, weight loss is roughly:
70% what you eat
20% what you do
10% is based on family genetics
So we need to plan our meals for the week to get us started. With my stats above, if I wanted to maintain my current weight, I would have to consume anywhere between 2400 and 2600 calories per day.
But I want to lose weight so I'm going to limit myself between 1700 and 1900 calories per day.
To find my maintenance calorie intake and my fat loss caloric intake, I googled for those specific calculators and used those for my starting numbers. To help keep track of my food, I'm going to use MyFitnessPal to keep everything in line.
Okay now that I know that I can roughly have 1800 calories a day, I need to start planning out my meals. For that, I'm also going to be getting recipes off the internet and also out of a book I own called, "The $7 a meal healthy cookbook". I'm going to make a separate post of planning out the meals and shopping trip to help keep this all organized.
