Who am I?
My journey with the United Church of Canada has been lifelong, I am the daughter and granddaughter of United Church ministers. Previously, I was a member of Applewood, most recently I have been exploring the faith community at Pickering Village. Currently, I am completing my Bachelors of Social Work, and I am investigating the option of an M. Div. in graduate school. To quote my grandmother “Oh great, another minister in the family, because that is definitely what we need.” This blog will be from the perspective of “the minister’s kid” and the struggle to separate one’s self from that single identifying feature.

Purpose
This blog is intended to share my experiences both within the United Church of Canada and as a United Church Christian in society. It is about the balancing act of views and values with social expectations and norms. It is about struggling with faith and stumbling through doubt. For my readers, I hope that you will feel a sense of connection, for others I hope you find it helpful in your work within the United Church. This blog will take the form of reflection, using various quotes from scripture, music and other medias.
