MEET MY BOYFRIEND CHARLIE - FIVE
pairings: gen OC x charlie weasley
TW!!!: brief mentions of peril, nostalgia, magical creature, maybe a curse word(?), LMK if i left anything out!!
the autumn air was barely warm enough for annabel to walk, as she did every day, without the need for more layers. she wore her usual red dress, the one that was part of her matron uniform, with a thin cloak slung around her shoulders.
the student that joined her, an aspiring matron who sought to learn as much from annabel as she could, shivered slightly as the pair walked the hogwarts grounds.
"are you cold, love? here, take this." annabel was quick to wrap her cloak around the young student's shoulders, despite the girl denying that she'd shivered.
as the pair walked and talked, it was easy for annabel to relax. studying outside had been one of her favorite things to do during her time at hogwarts, and she regretted that she took the grounds for granted. upon her return, she vowed to never do such a thing again.
and so she walked the grounds every day, during the break that she'd set aside for herself. should she ever be needed back in the infirmary, headmaster mcgonagall knew where to find her.
her walks with the student, maeve, had started much by accident. maeve had been returning to the castle after her care of magical creatures class and noticed annabel, who was enjoying her time spent away from the infirmary. maeve subtly approached the older woman, asking her a question about the upcoming potions parchment due that she'd been tasked with.
annabel had been more than happy to help the young girl out, as she'd always loved potions. their conversation strayed and maeve admitted her passion for the magical art of healing, revealing her admiration for matron annabel and her aspirations to follow in her footsteps. annabel had been quick to take the young girl under her wing, and the rest was history.
the two had grown very close over the weeks since then, and annabel was thankful for her time spent with maeve. she liked passing on her advice, and she found that she was learning from the girl too. their time together was refreshing, and annabel liked that.
"i can't wait to go to flourish and blotts this saturday. there's a book that i've been eyeing forever and mum surprised me with a little early birthday money."
"oh, that sounds wonderful. it feels like ages since i've been there, you-," annabel cut herself off as she heard the slightest noise of a twig snapping over to her left. she stopped in her tracks and glanced over, her instincts taking kicking in.
it wasn't unusual for her to hear noises like this on her walks, she was surrounded by nature after all. it was the intention behind the noise, and the very subtle inclination that she'd heard something similar before, that caused her to stop and listen closely. she didn't dare move, for if the noise was made by what she thought, she'd scare the creature off before she even had the chance to confirm her suspicions.
her senses, honed by years of observing magical beings with her grandfather, were alert. she noticed a faint, almost imperceptible shimmer near a cluster of overgrown mandrakes. it was a demiguise, the creature that she'd suspected, momentarily distracted by a particularly plump grub, its camouflage faltering.
she remembered her first experience with one of the creatures. she'd been young, very young, and she remembered that she'd been sitting in the same shrub with her grandfather for nearly four hours. they'd been observing a demiguise that was being held captive, and exploited for its future-telling abilities.
she'd grown fascinated with the creature's shiny coat and, after watching it for long enough, she noticed that even when the creature turned itself invisible, she was able to catch the slightest glimmer in the right lighting. she noticed the hesitant sound of the twig breaking, and the air change after that, which had led to her assumption of the creature's presence.
that, and the fact that hagrid had boasted about showing the creature off to his class, putting him well ahead the other faculty as the favorite professor.
annabel moved with a speed not surprising for her age and position. years of quietly practicing the capture techniques described to her by her grandfather paid off. she didn't startle the creature, approaching it with a gentle, almost reverent air. extending a hand encased in a specially charmed, nearly invisible net, she scooped the demiguise up in one smooth motion. the creature, startled but unharmed, blinked large, soulful eyes at her, its shimmering fur brushing against her hand. there was a connection, a silent understanding that passed between them.
"hi, love. let's get you back to hagrid, huh?" annabel nodded to maeve, who was staring at her stunned.
when they arrived back at hagrid's cabin, the large man was standing next to charlie looking exasperated.
"hang on, hang on, you lost-" annabel could hear charlie start. she cleared her throat, interrupting him. both of the men turned to look at her.
charlie and hagrid, their faces a mixture of embarrassment and gratitude, rushed towards her.
"oh annabel, you've saved us!" hagrid exclaimed, his usually boisterous voice laced with awe. charlie, his eyes shining with admiration, simply nodded his thanks.
as they discussed the demiguise's recapture, annabel felt charlie's gaze lingering. it wasn't the usual polite deference accorded to a matron, or even and old friend. it was something more, a spark of shared passion, a recognition of her understanding of the magical creature world. as he spoke of the demiguise's unique precognitive abilities, his words tumbled over each other in his enthusiasm. annabel, usually reserved, found herself drawn into the conversation, her own knowledge of the creature bubbling to the surface. she spoke of its gentle nature, its complex social structures, her voice gaining strength and confidence with each word.
as the demiguise was safely returned to its enclosure, annabel felt a shift within herself.
she remembered the dance she'd shared with charlie all those years ago, and she noticed how the look in his eyes now matched the look then. she found herself entranced at his words and the way he spoke of the same creatures that she'd grown to love with the same compassion as her grandfather.
charlie was starting to really grow on her.

hiiiii (me again)! here is chapter FOUR of my charlie weasley fanfic - meet my boyfriend charlie! i’m having so much fun writing this, and i’m working on chapter FIVE now! i hope you lurv the story and you can cheek the rest of it out on my page or here at wattpad! feel free to reach out to me! 😊
MEET MY BOYFRIED CHARLIE - FOUR
pairings: charlie weasley x fem OC, fem OC x weasley twins (platonic)
TW!!! : drinking, curse words (maybe a few?), let me know if i forgot anything!!!!
"WHAT do you think of this mess? think she's telling the truth?" george flashed the letter he'd received from annabel earlier to fred, waving it around in the air.
"dunno, you know how lousy she is at pulling pranks. plus, she's only ever got us when we got her first and we haven't done anything to earn it." fred sighed, running his fingers through his hair.
"i mean, i'm not sure this is even something she'd joke about. she wrote that it was super serious." george replied, reading directly from her messy, scrawling handwriting.
it wasn't that either one of the twins were angry that annabel had a boyfriend. it wasn't that they were angry that she was going to be bringing him by. it certainly wasn't the spontaneity of it all.
no, this revelation that annabel had written in her letter only hours before simply concerned the brothers for a different reason.
annabel had never mentioned any sort of boyfriend before, and they considered themselves to be quite the best of friends. it simply concerned the twins that she could keep such a big secret from them, and her motives for doing so.
was she ashamed of her boyfriend? did she not trust the twins enough to share intimate details of her personal life?
surely it was nothing of the sort. their friendship had lasted through their schooling at hogwarts, the twins' opening of their own business, her training at st. mungo's, and a bloody civil war.
after everything they'd been through together, she'd surely be able to tell them that she had a boyfriend.
right?
"freddie! georgie!" as though on cue, the soft chime of the front door to the joke shop sounded and then her angelic, sing-song voice called up the stairs.
the twins glanced at each other before they were racing through the door and bounding down the steps, taking two at a time.
"fido, darling, we're so glad you've come 'round-,"
"we can't wait to meet your man, really-," the twins talked over each other as they rushed the reach her first.
"boys, meet my boyfriend, charlie." she cut them both off when they'd neared close enough. the man towering over her shorter frame had his back turned away from the twins.
he'd been glancing around, scanning the shelves and various products. the shop was a lot to take in, and he took a moment to finish glancing around before he turned.
after nodding his head once, he gave a slow dramatic turn to face his brothers.
"CHARLIE?" fred gawked. at fred, and george's, priceless expression, annabel burst out laughing. she'd barely been able to hold herself together when the twins had come down the stairs and seeing their equally shocked expressions was just too much for her.
tears welled up in her eyes as she laughed, stepping forward to stand in between the twins. she threw her arms around their shoulders and yanked them closer to her.
"you shoulda seen your faces! i got you soooooo good!" she teased through broken laughs. "meet my boyfriend, charlie!" she repeated herself, squealing with laughter. "it's your brother!" she continued, the overwhelming glee and joy evident from her infectious laugh.
charlie stood before the trio, barely containing his growing smirk. hearing her laugh caused something in his chest to stir, and he couldn't help but want to laugh right along with her.
"hold on...you, you pranked us?" fred questioned, pulling himself from her embrace.
"aw, what's the matter, freddy? is someone upset that he was bested by me, PRANK GOD?" her voice rose and she lurched forward again, doubling over in laughter. with her arm still around george's shoulder, the move was awkward, and george thought she might truly fall. he looked up to fred as they shared a glance.
fred's cheeks were tinted pink, but it wasn't anything to do with being embarrassed. no, his grin was simply so large that it was starting to burn, causing his cheeks to redden.
"annabel fidorius scamander, i simply can not believe you." george questioned, a feigned sense of disdain in his tone.
she'd finally managed to somewhat collect herself, but the grin hadn't left her lips.
"i'm sorry boys, it's just that it was right there for the taking. you two of all people should know that you don't always get the perfect chance for a prank. i just had to take it." she glanced between the twins, who were fighting smirks of their own as they stared down at her with feigned looks of disapproval.
"well, it was rather unexpected. you had freddie genuinely worried for a minute." george caved first, but that didn't surprise anyone. he threw his arm around her shoulders, pulling her into his chest for a quick hug. he kissed the top of her head, telling her that he was proud of her prank-pulling ability.
it wasn't very often that she managed to successfully prank them after all.
next, it was fred's turn to give in to her antics, rewarding her with another kiss to the top of her head.
charlie cleared his throat and in that moment, she became acutely aware of his presence once more.
"well, um, i know you three'd like to catch up, and i've got a stack of reports to fill in. it was wonderful to see you again charlie. hopefully we won't meet again over injured children. do try to be careful." she smiled as she turned to the larger weasley. the small smirk on her lips told charlie she was teasing him too, and he liked the sight of it.
he'd been feeling rather dejected as he'd watched her with his brothers, despite trying to quell those emotions within him. it had been forever since he'd seen her so much as smile at him, and then he'd suddenly had the chance to pretend to be her boyfriend.
even if just for the sake of a little prank, he'd been running through the scenarios in his mind of just what he'd do if he were truly boyfriend, and he could feel himself getting caught up in all of the possibilities.
the same feelings he'd felt all those years ago on the night of bill's wedding were beginning to bubble in his chest.
and there was no romantic atmosphere to blame them on this time.
[][][]
"SO," fred started, that ever-familiar twinkle of mischief in his eye, "you and our fido, huh?"
fred was leaning across the counter in the flat above the joke shop, and the three brothers were catching up over small glasses of firewhisky.
"it was her idea. well, pickett's really." charlie nodded, taking a slow sip from his glass. he was afraid that he'd rouse the twins' suspicions if he asked all of the questions that he really wanted to, so he resolved himself to remaining as silent as possible for now.
"wha- you got to meet pickett already?" george exclaimed. charlie simply shrugged his shoulders. fred and george shared a look.
their brother was acting strange. charlie had always been one of the quieter weasley boys, more reserved and much more of an observer. but that was normally when he was in crowds of people, or around people he didn't know.
when he was around fred and george, he was normally busting at the seams to tell his tales of his dragon work or recounted the story of how he'd earned a scar over a glass of firewhisky.
and now, they sat as they had many times before, with glasses of firewhisky before them, and charlie was eerily quiet.
charlie glanced between the two, noticing their apprehension at his odd behavior, and decided he needed to do something to quell their suspicions.
"what's up with the dragon on her desk?" charlie questioned to fill the silence, taking another slow sip of from his glass.
"you dunno know, mate? i though' you of all people'd know 'bout that." fred questioned him with a weird expression on his face.
"know what, exactly?" charlie questioned, his interest peaked.
"well, she rode it, of course. hopped right up on its back and took 'em for a spin, she did. thought fred was going to have a heart attack but newt sure did love it." george explained.
charlie's eyes felt as though they were going to pop out of his head.
"she WHAT?"

hi (me again) with chapter THREE of meet my boyfriend charlie…. i’m having sm fun writing this i hope u lurv reading 🥹 plz leave me any comments/dm me and feel FREE to check my story out on wattpad
MEET MY BOYFRIEND CHARLIE - THREE
pairing: fem OC x charlie weasley (major heart eyes)
TW!!!: injury, mention of wound+healing, maybe a curse word or two(?), charlie weasley in general (plz lmk if i forgot anything)
||[][][][][]||
ANNABEL glanced around the infirmary and was happy to note that she'd rid herself of all of her patients. she'd always liked to work alone, even though fred and george never let her, which was partly what drove her towards her career in medicine.
if she was alone as a healer, it meant she'd successfully done her job. she'd healed all of her patients and she could be proud of herself.
she tidied up all of the beds, making sure to turn the sheets down just so like madame pomfrey had taught her.
"whatcha think, pick? like what you see?" she questioned, her tone light and airy. she was quite pleased with herself, and pickett's light hum of approval only deepened this feeling. she gave him an appreciative pat on the head to show her gratitude.
she walked back to her desk at the far end of the infirmary hall and smiled as she glanced at the massive bouquet of flowers that sat on the corner.
the twins had sent them earlier in the week, fit with a small card. fred had drawn a smiley face on it and george had signed their names near the bottom. she had been overjoyed at the delivery and was even more appreciative now as she looked on at the bouquet in the sunlight.
"very nice of the boys, wasn't it, pick?" she muttered with a bright smile on her face.
suddenly, the heavy doors of the infirmary burst open, pulling her away from her wandering thoughts. her attention was immediately drawn away and she stood at once, causing pickett to grasp onto the brim of her pocket and hastily retreat so that he was out of sight.
she rushed around her desk and towards the burly man who'd entered with a young-looking boy in his arms.
"it's alright, james, you're going to be quite-," the man stopped speaking to the boy, having looked up. he made eye contact with annabel, his blue eyes searching her face.
his expression grew curious as the two neared each other and he seemed as though he were at a loss for words.
"annabel?" he questioned, the confusion evident in his handsome features. she too was just as confused, not expecting to see him so far from his home at hogwarts of all places.
"charlie?" she mirrored, motioning for him to bring the child to the nearest bed.
"well, this is quite a-," he started but she cut him off.
"could you tell me what's happened?" she questioned, a serious look returning to her features. even though charlie's presence did shock her a bit, she just couldn't overlook the child he'd brought with him. she quickly focused all of her attention on the boy, choosing to push the small butterflies that fluttered in her stomach down for the moment.
"oh, right, um...he's had a fall outside. during our lesson. tripped over a rock, right, lad?" charlie looked to the boy, who seemed transfixed on annabel.
who could blame him though.
while it had literally been years since charlie had seen her, he couldn't deny that she looked as radiant as ever. her white matron uniform seemed to glow against her permanently tanned skin and her saucer-like blue eyes were a stark contrast to the brown hair that fell in waves under her cap.
"oh, that's too bad. let's look at this ankle, alright, angel?" she spoke then, after assessing the boy in front of her. her voice was silky smooth like honey, and it felt as though it were lulling charlie to sleep. the child obviously felt the same way, as he simply nodded and closed his eyes. she placed her thin fingers tenderly on the boy's ankle and began pressing lightly as she assessed the damage.
he watched eyed her fingers closely, admiring the precise effort. a dainty gold ring rested on her right index finger, and it looked to charlie like it was made just for her. her fingers worked quick and nimble, fluttering about the boy's skin.
she was deeply aware of charlie staring down at her as she worked, and she felt weirdly self conscious at his presence. not that it was particularly hard to make her self conscious, but charlie weasley of all people?
his overpowering, dominating presence was something she'd remembered from all those years ago but she still never quite remembered how large he truly was. he was tall, almost an entire foot taller than her, but he was wide too. his broad shoulders gave way to muscled arms toned from his work with dragons.
so many thoughts raced in her mind. why was charlie here? what did he mean, our lesson? the last she'd heard from the twins, he was still in romania working on the dragon reserves. he'd returned after the battle of hogwarts with a newfound passion, and she knew fred and george wouldn't keep something like his return from her.
she couldn't dare sneak a glance at him, for she was afraid that he'd already be looking at her. she's briefly noticed that his skin was still tanned from his time spent in the sun in romania, and his hair was longer now than she'd ever seen it before. it was a mess of curls that nearly reached his shoulders. he seemed as built as ever, tossing this poor boy around as if he weighed nothing.
thankfully, the boy's ankle was only sprained and he didn't need to be treated for any sort of head injury. she retrieved a simple tonic that she'd just brewed and held it to the boy's lips.
"drink this, alright, angel? then i'll let you sleep a wink and you'll be on your way." the sound of her voice roused the sleeping little boy and he glanced at the small cup in her hand. charlie watched in awe as one of his most timid students took the tonic without a second guess. "fantastic job, love. now, rest a bit. you'll be alright when you wake up." she spoke again, gingerly taking the cup from the boy's hand. she smoothed his hair down tenderly and smiled at the boy which seemed to be all that he needed to fall right asleep.
after a few moments, charlie had joined annabel at her desk as they let the boy rest.
"i'm terribly sorry about earlier. i'm not sure what came over me. i just really wasn't expecting to see you standing there." charlie whispered with a slightly embarrassed look on his face and a pink tint to his cheeks.
embarrassed? since when did charlie weasley get emarrassed?
she couldn't help but smile at his soft voice, trying desperately not to wake the sleeping boy.
"there's no need to whisper, charlie. he's out like a light for the next hour." at her comment, in her normal voice, the tips of charlie's ears grew pink. she brought her hand up to cover her mouth as she let out a light chuckle at his sheepish grin.
she'd never seen charlie, who worked with dragons for a living, become embarrassed about anything. not that she'd had a lot of interactions around charlie, but she sensed that this definitely wasn't like him.
she quite liked it.
she lightly shoved his bicep playfully before sighing dramatically and shaking her head.
"oh, don't worry. it was only fred and george that i was going to tell how just the sight of me rendered their dear brother utterly speechless, but they're quite on my nerves at the moment." she couldn't help but laugh now as charlie's face fell. he couldn't help but smile as she stood beside him with a hand over her chest laughing.
"fred and george? on your nerves? nah, that can't be right." charlie teased back when her laugh had turned light. she nodded her head up at him before pointing to her massive bouquet.
"they started this week off in my good graces but... not mentioning your return? that's grounds for the silent treatment until at least next week." as charlie looked at the flowers, he couldn't help but smile at the thought of his brothers shopping for a bouquet at the market. as his eyes scanned her desk, he noticed a photograph of her in her grandfather's arms. annabel held a small bowtruckle, the very famous pickett no doubt, and her grandfather looked down at her with the biggest smile on his face.
he also noticed a tiny dragon figurine that had been enchanted to move and walk. it caught his attention because it was an opaleye, a dragon that he'd never had the chance to work with before. he knew there must be a story behind it and he desperately wanted to ask about it, but what she'd said registered in his mind and caught his attention.
"oh, fred and george don't really know i'm here either. i mean, they knew i was coming, but i've come straight here for my post. i haven't written them to let them know i'm officially in town." it didn't escape his attention how much of an emphasis she was putting on her knowing that he was in town. he didn't however, want to let his fantasies run wild and morph into him thinking that that was because she'd missed him.
she'd given him a bit of an inquisitorial look, like she was wondering why he hadn't written to tell his brothers he was back from romania, but she didn't question him outright.
an awkward silence fell upon the pair as they stood beside each other. it was becoming quickly apparent to charlie that he'd never actually been left completely alone to speak to her. he'd always had someone else there to mitigate the conversation, and he was finding it incredibly hard to speak to her.
he didn't know why, no woman had ever left him without words. he certainly had never been nervous around anyone, let alone a woman. he didn't really even know what it felt like to be self conscious, but he suspected that it felt something like what he felt like now.
"what is it, pick? would you like to meet charlie? he's very kind." charlie's attention was drawn from his shoes back to her face, before he glanced down at the tiny green leaf poking out of her breast pocket. his eyes immediately widened and his jaw dropped in shock.
"is that..." he trailed off, marveling at the small creature who was now poking his head completely out of her pocket. annabel smiled up at him and nodded her head. without thinking, she glanced over at the photograph on her desk before looking back up at charlie.
"pickett, meet charlie weasley. charlie, meet pickett." she introduced the two, holding her hand out for pickett to climb on to. pickett took his usual place wrapped around her finger. he glanced cautiously at the burly man that stood before him.
"it's a pleasure to meet you, pickett." charlie spoke softly, knowing that bowtruckles were normally shy. pickett glanced between annabel and charlie a few times, causing annabel to give him a weird look. pickett finally pointed to charlie and then back to annabel before giving her an exasperated look.
"charlie, i think i've got an idea. would you like to prank your brothers?"

i'm trying to say this as nicely as possible, so please don't think i'm angry at you ^^
please don't tag your works with 'x reader' if you write them for your oc(s). it doesn't make more people read your fics, and some would even block you
it's not a capital mistake, but for the sake of the entire fandom, try to tag accordingly, both here on tumblr and on ao3

hi (me again) with chapter TWO of meet my boyfriend charlie…. i’m having sm fun writing this i hope u lurv reading 🥹 plz leave me any comments/dm me and feel FREE to check my story out on wattpad
MEET MY BOYFRIEND CHARLIE - TWO
pairings: female OC x charlie weasley (heart eyes, swoon)
TW!!! : cuss words maybe (?), drinking/being drunk, twins being sexy asf (what’s new) …. lmk if i forgot anything! :)
"HERE, pick, don't think i've forgotten you. here, angel, i've got your favorite." annabel softly cooed to the little creature, who hadn't once retreated back into the darkness of her pocket. the twins watched her in awe, her gentleness never ceasing to amaze them.
"he really seems to like you." fred noted, watching how the creature cuddled against her finger.
"aren't they supposed to be shy?" george questioned.
"well, yeah, but pick is comfortable with me. i think he thinks i'm his tree." she laughed, making a kissing face at the little creature. pickett seemed to revel in the attention she gave, cuddling up against her soft skin.
the normally shy tendencies of the creature were tucked far away and fred and george witnessed her pulling the creature from his shell in the most wonderful way. it was unlike anything they'd seen before, but she had that way about her.
it reminded the twins of their brother charlie and his ability with magical creatures. care of magical creatures had always been his forte in school and he'd been one of newt scamander's biggest fans. it was no question that annabel come by her gifts naturally being directly descended from him, and his favorite grandchild by far.
"that's rich. our fido, a tree! a shrub at best, little one." fred retorted, earning another laugh from her. pickett shot him a small glare, but he relaxed when he noticed annabel laughing. referencing her short height, this playful jab was something she was more than used to from the twins.
all throughout her time at hogwarts, she'd been shorter than the twins. it wasn't until the twins' last year that it started to become a bit ridiculous, and now, at an entire foot shorter than both twins, they rarely got through a single conversation without poking fun at her.
"i'm pretty sure he just glared at you, freddie." george laughed now. fred stuck his tongue out at the little creature, earning the same look back from pickett.
"how's he even know i was talking 'bout you? he knows you're fido to us?" fred retorted, eyeing pickett suspiciously.
"he's very intelligent! plus, when grandfather was in trouble, grandmother would call him by his full name. i think pick knows there's a little negative connotation behind it." she gave a pointed look to fred first, then george. the two men burst out laughing when they noticed the small bowtruckle with his hands on his hips, wearing the same expression as annabel.
"you're quite the pair." george said, a small hint of wonder in his voice. even though her apt for being liked by magical creatures was nothing knew to the twins, they'd seen her ride a dragon after all, it never quite resonated with fred the way it did with george.
george chalked that up to the pair being more like each other, but he never failed to notice how large her heart was when she cared for the creatures. her gift was amazing, and while it was no doubt due to the blood that rushed through her veins, george knew there was something else there too.
they twins had met newt scamander on many occasions, simply due to the fact that they were always with annabel and annabel was always with her grandfather. the twins adored him, just as annabel did and it was blatantly obvious that annabel was newt's favorite.
it was as though he could see into her heart, and he knew that she held only the purest of love for his creatures. it was no surprise to the twins how newt led her through his briefcase, allowing her to feed and care for every one of his animals just as he had once done.
it was also no surprise that newt hadn't been the least bit deterred from teaching her to care for his creatures when she'd left hogwarts and trained at st. mungo's to be a healer. out of everyone in her life, even the twins, newt was the one that was most supportive of her decision.
he'd seen, firsthand, her ability to heal others and her exceptional grades had only fueled her decision.
she'd never earned anything less than an outstanding mark, even in potions, and she was known around hogwarts as snape's favorite prodige.
even though she denied such things.
"fred, you can't just turn the pile over haphazardly like that! you're messing up my flow. i'm trying to beat you!" annabel cried, whining in the middle of their card game. fred winked at george, who simply shook his head.
this was how every tuesday night went for the threesome. annabel joined the twins in their flat and they recounted their week over some sort of take out dinner. they'd follow that up with card games over a bottle, or bottles, of wine and firewhiskey. at the end of their night, one of the twins would wind up escorting annabel down the hall to her honorary bedroom, where they'd drop her in bed and leave her be for the evening.
the twins kept the bedroom made up just for her, and they preferred it that way. they kept her pastel yellow sheets that she loved so much washed and turned down just so. george made sure to keep a fresh bouquet of flowers in the window sill for her and her favorite book out on the nightstand should she ever come over and not go to bed absolutely sloshed.
but that book would definitely be of no use tonight, as she'd downed almost half of bottle of white wine on her own and had falsely claimed she'd won their last game a few hands too early.
fred topped her now empty glass off with more of the wine he'd bought down the street earlier that day, and refilled his own glass of firewhiskey.
the twins always made sure that they had her favorite white wine on hand, seeing as they'd exhausted most other liquor on her in their time at hogwarts.
even though she'd never admit that of course. she was a prefect after all, she'd never be caught dead drinking of all things at one of the twins' famous gryffindor parties.
white wine was the only way the twins could get her to relax and unwind from her stressful studying when she'd been training to be a healer, and it was then that they'd developed this tradition. she even had her favorite wine glass that the twins kept on display on their bar cart for their tuesday night adventures, and each and every one of them looked forward to this night each week.
hours later, george insisted that annabel get to bed before she was too drunk to work in the morning.
"oh, come off it! you know mcgonagall will have our heads if i don't drop you off bright and early tomorrow morning!" george sighed out, resisting the pout on her face.
"oh, 'ere we go, georgie's always gotta be the bad guy!" fred called out, pulling annabel closer into his arms like he was trying to shield her from george's wrath. the pair were standing just in front of the fireplace, having just wrapped up an entire concert of a performance for george who was watching, nay laughing from the couch.
when fred got her just drunk enough, he was able to convince her to do her favorite karaoke for george. that was their favorite part of their nights together, because it was when she was truly inebriated enough to let all of her inhibitions go. it was extremely rare for her, but the twins had truly never seen her as happy as she was then.
so george let her preform just one more song before he scooped her up into his arms and carried her down the hallway. it was never too difficult, she was small enough for him to throw her over his shoulder even though she complained very often about her appearance. that was one of those inhibitions that george, and fred, hated the most.
and by that point in the night, she was unsteady enough already on her feet that it required very little of his effort.
"my room!" she squealed as they crossed the threshold into the bedroom. fred had followed and was laughing from the doorway as george laid her in bed.
"yours until charlie takes up residence in here in a few days..." george muttered as he pulled her covers up gently to her shoulders.
"CHARLIE?" she questioned, causing george to glance behind him. fred covered his mouth to stifle his laugh, but he gave his twin a knowing nod.
"i think he'd quite like that, rather..." george muttered again, giving her a kiss on the forehead. her eyes had already drifted closed and george knew that she probably wouldn't remember that conversation in the morning.
but as he joined fred in the doorway, their matching smirks told him that they'd definitely remember the way her eyes betrayed her and lit up at the mention of charlie's name.

HI!!! sooooo here’s chapter 1 of meet my boyfriend charlie! hope ya lurv it 😊 feel FREE to check it out on wattpad bc that’s where it’s housed 😊😘❤️ heart hands
MEET MY BOYFRIEND CHARLIE - ONE
pairing: OC x charlie weasley (we’ll get there)
TW!!! : erm maybe language? mentions of alcohol, twins being sexy asf, slow burn, lmk if i forgot anything!!!!
Tumblr media
"FREDDIE! GEORGIE!" she called out as she flung open the door to the twins' joke shop. having closed more than an hour earlier, the shop was eerily devoid of its normal loud noises and bustling crowds.
she knew that fred and george would be anxiously awaiting her arrival, mostly because of the emergency owl she sent hours earlier, but also because tonight was their usual night to order takeout and catch up on their week. they'd started the weekly tradition when she'd first accepted her permanent matron position at hogwarts and both parties were equally happy to resume their friendship that had blossomed in their years together at school.
and sure enough, her favorite set of twins rushed down the stairs in the corner of the shop to see her at the sound of her voice.
"evening, love!" fred called to her. out of the two of them, fred has always been the louder one. george was more like her, more quiet and reserved. this simple fact shown in the way the pair trampled down the stairs. fred was much more rowdy with his careless footsteps, but george's footsteps seemed the slightest bit more timid. he wasn't trying to sound like an entire herd of elephants but maybe just one elephant.
their tall, lanky and lean bodies rushed over to her but she flung her arms out in front of her to stop them from engulfing her in a hug.
"wait!" the way she stopped them gave them pause because of the sly smirk on her lips. normally, it was the pair of trouble-making twins that wore those looks. they always roped her into their exotic plans and they shared an uneasy glance at her behavior.
"anna? what's going on? what's with the S.O.S. owl earlier? nearly gave freddie a heart attack." george questioned, placing his large hands on her forearms. his amused expression had turned slightly more serious, and she could tell that he was genuinely concerned.
how sweet.
"well...you know that thing i've been working on? the thing?" both of the twins were staring down at her now, giving her their full attention. a flicker of recognition flashed in fred's eye and he nodded his head.
"yeah, 'course we remember. something to do with your grandfather right? the great magizoologist newt scamander?" fred questioned, emphasizing his words to make sure she knew that is was him who remembered her touching story where she revealed her admiration for her grandfather.
but she was used to that. that air of friendly competition between the two men when it came to her and her attention. anyone looking in on the threesome would suspect something sinister, something more from the playful banter between the twins as they both competed to be number one in her eyes. even molly weasley of all people was perturbed when she'd first ventured home with ginny under the guise of newfound friend whom the weasley children adored.
instead, molly was taken aback at the twins' apparent competition and obvious admiration for the younger girl. but she quickly realized that she had been mistaken. this 'competition' between her boys was nothing of the sort, just another one of their signature personality quirks. molly just hadn't seen her boys with a friend they'd truly loved, but in a platonic way.
since that trip home for the holiday with ginny, her original favorite weasley, molly had welcomed her with open arms.
even though the hope she'd had that one of her twin boys would end up marrying the younger girl had long subsided.
fred, and george for that matter, hadn't missed the way anna had perked up even more at fred's memory. if you asked george, he'd say that's one of his favorite things about her: her simplicity. he'd never quite understood most women, not the way that his brother had, and that was partly to do with the fact that he only understood anna.
and she was nothing like any other woman he'd ever met.
she was simple, but not in any kind of boring way and calling her that earned george a sharp slap to the bicep every time before he'd had the time to explain himself.
yes, she was simple, but in that she had the deepest and strongest sense of emotional connection to even the dullest things around her. she appreciated the single flower that poked through first after the bitter cold winter snowstorms and she appreciated the gloomy clouds that poured rain down outside the joke shop.
she liked things for their own unique beauty, and she was perfectly content with normal things. that's why george knew that it warmed her heart that fred had simply remembered something she'd said.
yes, annabel scamander was simple. but george quite liked simple.
"yes! i can't believe you remembered that! i'd like you both, my favorite twinies, to meet...," she trailed off, her eyes shining with the happy tears that were forming, "pickett!" she glanced down at the breast pocket of her dark hogwarts robes with her blindingly white smile.
after a few seconds of absolutely nothing, the twins shared a confused look before that looked back down at the short witch that stood in front of them.
"erm...anna..." george started slowly.
"shhh. it's okay pickett, you can come out. mommy is here and these boys won't hurt you. he's just a little shy, but that's okay." the twins shared another look as they watched their dear friend speak animately to what appeared to be an empty pocket.
but as the twins glanced back down towards anna, the tiniest sliver of a little green leaf poked out of her pocket. after a few more seconds, the top of the little bowtruckle's head poked out and he started to glance around. his tiny little limbs grasped the brim of the pocket and he hoisted himself up a little higher to get a better view.
the twins gawked at the creature and both of their jaws were on the floor as they watched him turn his attention up at them.
"is this...?" fred questioned, lowering himself to the height of her pocket to get a better look at the creature.
"pickett! yes, the one who loved my grandfather so. until he met me. he's loved me every since we first met, and i've felt the very same way. isn't that right, pick-pick?" she cooed, lovingly stroking the top of his head. fred and george watched cautiously as the creature nuzzled her finger before reaching out and grasping the tip of it. he clung on tightly, and she hoisted him up into her other hand.
she moved her hand to the side of her face and nuzzled her cheek against the small creature. the twins watched in awe as pickett touched her cheek and brushed his lips against her skin.
it was in moments like this that they were reminded of anna's unique ancestry and her exceptional ability to connect with all beings.
yes, annabel scamander was simple. but her love was anything but.

meet my boyfriend charlie
hi! as promised in my prev post, here is the prologue for my charlie weasley fanfic!!!! i’m super psyched to write this you know i lurv my sexy
feel FREE to check this story out on wattpad, it’s where it will be housed heart hands
||[][][][][]||
THE burrow was a whirlwind of activity, preparations for bill weasley's wedding to fleur delacour in full swing. annabel, ginny's closest friend, felt a flutter of nerves despite her best efforts to remain calm. tonight, she was george's date, a role she'd accepted with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. she'd only met molly and arthur weasley, the beloved parents, on a dozen or so occasions. even though molly had immediately warmed to her after observing how much all of her children fawned over her, she still wanted to be exactly who the weasleys' needed her to be tonight.
annabel, clad in a shimmering emerald green dress that accentuated her plump curves, laughed as george, ever the showman, spun her around with his hand firmly on her waist. he was a whirlwind, a constant stream of witty banter and infectious energy. he introduced her to his friends, his extended family, and even managed to get her involved in a harmless prank involving a levitating cake. george had even managed to effortlessly fend off every single comment about how darling of a couple they'd make.
annabel, usually reserved, found herself loosening up, enjoying the lively atmosphere.
charlie weasley watched from across the room, finding his gaze drawn to her again and again. there was an undeniable grace to her movements, a wildness that hinted at a fiery spirit beneath the calm exterior. he'd noticed her the moment she arrived, her eyes sparkling with amusement as she navigated the bustling burrow.
but how could he not have? molly had squealed in delight, rushing outside to greet her, not caring about the conversation she'd been having with her second eldest son. at her cries, fred and george had clobbered down the stairs, pushing at each other for the chance to lay eyes on her first.
he hadn't understood the rush, the kind of pull that she had, until she walked in the door nestled in between the twins as they carried her bags inside. the air shifted and it was unlike anything charlie had ever felt before, and he worked with dragons for a living.
everything seemed to stop altogether and he couldn't help but stare at her. she was reserved and quiet, innocent, soft-spoken, and nothing at all like any woman charlie had dealt with before. she was young, ginny's age, and had it been any other woman, that'd have been too young for him. but the maturity and class she exuded didn't seem to match her age, and charlie knew he was in trouble when he felt his hardened exterior begin to slip away.
he'd only managed to speak to her once, when the twins had hastily introduced the pair before whisking her away, and once was enough for him to want more. he equated it to the stark difference of the romanian women he was used to hooking up with, and the all around romantic atmosphere, and he tried desperately to push those feelings deep down inside. he wasn't actually attracted to her, he was feeling the pressure and fervor that comes with a wedding.
as george dipped annabel low, her hair cascading over his shoulder, charlie felt a jolt of unexpected possessiveness. he wanted to pull her from george's arms, to hold her close himself, to feel the heat of her soft skin against his. he imagined the feel of her hair beneath his fingers, the taste of her laughter on his lips.
she saw him, her eyes flicking past him, when george spun her around for what felt like the twentieth time. charlie weasley, older than george, fred, and even percy, was watching her with an amused expression as george twirled her around and around the dance floor, a glint of something more in his gaze. annabel felt a blush creep up her neck and focused all of her attention back on george, who she realized might have been trying to make her sick.
"georgie! be careful with me!" she chuckled out as georgie swung her in a wide circle. his large hands spread across her lower back and she felt as safe as ever.
"oh, relax, love. you know i've got ya." george answered playfully as his eyes scanned the dance floor searching for open space. he was calculating each and every move to try and make her laugh, and it was working.
the music changed, a slow, sultry tune that seemed to pull them closer rather than the previous fast rhythm. george, ever the showman, pulled annabel tight against his chest, his breath warm against her ear. annabel, her cheeks flushed, leaned into him, a shiver running down her spine.
charlie watched, his jaw clenched. he yearned to be the one holding her, to feel the curve of her hip against his, to lose himself in the intoxicating scent of her hair. he imagined the feel of her lips against his, a slow, sensual dance that would ignite a fire within him. he took a small sip of the firewhiskey that he'd been nursing and lightly shook his head.
he knew he shouldn't. she was george's date, nevermind the way they'd both adamantly denied anything romantic to molly several times already, and he was george's brother. but the pull towards her was undeniable, a primal urge that threatened to consume him. he wanted to taste her, to explore the depths of that fiery spirit he'd glimpsed in her eyes.
as george bent down and whispered something in annabel's ear, she threw her head back and laughed, a sound that sent shivers down charlie's spine. he knew, with a certainty that both excited and terrified him, that he wouldn't be able to resist her for long.
he was only able to watch the two of them for a few more agonizing moments before he'd had enough. he strode across the room, his gaze fixed on her, his heart pounding a frantic rhythm against his ribs. george, sensing his approach, raised an eyebrow in amusement.
"someone seems to have caught your eye, georgie," charlie said, his voice a low growl.
"indeed," george replied, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "and i believe this dance belongs to me." charlie ignored him, his eyes locked on annabel.
"may i have this dance?" he asked, his voice husky. george, with a dramatic sigh, released annabel.
"be gentle with her, charles," he warned, a playful glint in his eyes. charlie pulled annabel close, his hands finding their way to her waist. the heat of the skin beneath her silky dress ignited a fire within him. he could feel the rapid thump of her heart against his chest, mirroring the frantic beat of his own.
"you look... breathtaking," he murmured, his breath fanning her cheek. annabel, startled by his intensity, could only nod, her gaze fixed on the floor. he leaned closer, his lips brushing against her ear.
"i've been watching you all evening," he whispered, his voice a low growl. "i just can't seem to take my eyes off of you." annabel felt a shiver run down her spine, a mixture of fear and exhilarating anticipation. she could feel the heat radiating from his body, the intensity of his gaze burning into her skin.
"i... i don't know what to say," she stammered, her voice barely a whisper. he chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that sent a thrill through her.
"you seemed to have a lot to say to georgie," he replied, his lips grazing her ear again. his tone was mocking and he seemed to spit out the words with a bitterness she didn't recognize.
"well, georgie is a good partner." she replied after a moment, bringing her eyes up to meet his.
"he is," charlie chuckled at her act of defiance, " but i think he likes it when he's got a good girl on his arm." annabel felt a jolt of unexpected warmth.
charlie began to move, his body pressed against hers, their movements slow and deliberate. annabel, lost in the intoxicating scent of woodsmoke and something indefinably masculine, could only cling to him, her senses reeling.
there was no reasonable explanation for the way her entire body buzzed after charlie had simply called her a good girl and she was trying everything she could to refocus her attention.
"i think he knows that i'm anything but." she replied back after a moment. her voice had come out low and sultry and she figured that that certainly wasn't helping her case. the corner of charlie's lips twitched up into a smirk at her comment, almost as though her were challenging her.
"s'that so? i thought i heard you had perfect marks and were in the running to be prefect. did i hear wrong?" charlie questioned, teasing her. at his playful jest, her tense demeanor relaxed slightly.
she met his gaze, her pupils dilated, her breath catching in her throat. in that moment, all other sounds faded away, leaving only the pounding of their hearts and the intoxicating scent of desire.
charlie leaned closer to her, his lips hovering over hers. annabel, lost in the intoxicating haze of his touch, tilted her head, her lips parting slightly.
in that moment, the world seemed to tilt on its axis, the burrow fading into a distant memory. there was only charlie, his eyes burning with a possessive hunger, and the promise of a forbidden pleasure that threatened to consume them both.
suddenly, a chilling silence descended upon the party. a scream pierced the air, followed by a deafening crash. the music abruptly stopped, and a wave of fear washed over the guests.
"death eaters!" someone shouted distantly, and panic erupted.
charlie, his heart pounding, instinctively pulled annabel tight into his arms. he saw a flash of green light, and a guest crumpled to the floor.
gone was the carefree, playful man he'd been a seconds before. his tried and true honed instincts kicked in quickly, and he only had one thought in that moment.
he had to get annabel to safety.
"we need to move" he commanded, his voice urgent but firm. "now." he grabbed her hand, his fingers tightening around hers. with a sickening lurch, the pair vanished from the Burrow.
they reappeared outside of a beautiful beach cottage on the coast, somewhere annabel had never been before. the sounds of the attack faded into the distance but a sob escaped annabel's chest. charlie pulled her tightly to his chest, his large arms wrapping around her protectively.
"are you alright?" he asked, his voice rough with worry. annabel, still trembling, nodded, burying her face in his chest.
"thank you, charlie, thank you." she said, repeating herself over and over again. she felt so safe in his arms that she wished she would never have to leave. she was shocked, her brain was struggling to make sense of what had happened.
charlie held her tightly, his heart pounding with relief. the thought of any harm befalling her filled him with a primal rage. he looked around, searching for any sign of danger, but he found none. a few other guests had apparated to the weasley's beach cottage as well and were congregating a ways away.
"annabel!" fred shouted. charlie waved his arm, motioning for his younger brother to approach. relief washed over the twins' faces as they sprinted over. they had been worried sick.
"is she alright?" george asked, reaching out to rub her exposed arm.
"georgie." annabel sobbed, detaching herself from charlie's chest. she immediately reached out for george, and he took her in his arms effortlessly. when she'd safely nestled herself into his chest, she felt free to cry and her hot tears soon soaked his dress shirt. he rubbed her back and kissed the top of her head, doing his best to calm her.
charlie stepped back from the pair, making room for fred and ginny to join in and wrap their arms around each other. charlie couldn't help but watch annabel in his brother's arms and try to suppress the lead-like weight on his chest.
he'd protected her.
so why did he still feel the need to be near her? to ensure her safety?
