"Fire, burn; and cauldron, bubble."
We're casting our best spells and cooking up something to sink your teeth into! Spectacle and catharsis combine in this relevant reflection on fate and fortune.
The play and the place as you've never seen them before - witness the Weyrd Sisters as they watch their prophecy unfold, share the moment that madness overtakes Lady Macbeth, march with Macduff into battle against our agonized antihero, all under the looming landmark of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Tickets are likely to sell out before our opening performance on April 11th, get yours today! https://www.weplayers.org/macbeth-at-fort-point-2025

Dana Taylor is a dream, a dream weaver, a weaver of spells with needle and thread, a weaver of dreams in cloth and dazzlement! Dana has leant her stitiching skills to many a show over the years including our last iteration of Macbeth over a decade ago!
Dana served on We Players’ inaugural board of directors, gracing our group as our Secretary for seven full years. In addition to producing tangible magic in her sewing studio and holding the hearth-center for our fledgling board, she has hosted performances and visiting artists in her home, lent her stable shoulder to cry on at times of significant stress, and always has a long strong hug on tap.
Dana - you are We and we love You!

We're bringing it back!
Fort Point once again sets the scene for an ancient Scotland and a return of our 2013/14 production of Macbeth at Fort Point with a (mostly) new, all-female cast. Whether you saw it a decade ago and can't wait to gather once again with the witches on that foggy heath or if you've only heard tell of the slamming of the sally-port that starts the show - you don't want to miss this tale for our time.
As is our practice, we'll be offering three different ticketing tiers to allow for maximum accessibility to folks with a range of incomes. Tickets, especially those at lower prices, are limited and will go very quickly - purchase yours now to ensure that you're able to see this critically-acclaimed audience favorite.

We continue our celebration of our community, this time with Lauren Matley, aka Loe. You’ve seen her captivating images on our website, in our emails, and on our stationery since 2013.
Loe's ebullience and positivity, along with her can-do, will-do, already-did-done attitude and ethic have carried us through many a challenging passage.

There are so many people that make We possible- including you! We want to introduce you to some of the amazing humans that help us perform our special brand of magic- the witches of We, if you will. We'll be spotlighting different members of our We Family throughout the year - so stay tuned!
First up, the loving Lauren Dietrich Chavez! Lauren was our first Managing Director and there would hardly be a We without her.

We Players was born on the Stanford campus 25 years ago.
We couldn't be more grateful for the overwhelming support, the incredible opportunities, and the deep love that we've received over the last quarter of a century. We are so deeply proud of the work that we've produced, the art that we've made over that time.

Finally wrapping up this long list of events from our busy 2024!
We of course put on our annual Sites and Sounds concert, this time featuring the tunes of our 2015 production of Ondine at Sutro, arranged for 6-piece jazz outfit.
Here's to a solid year of sharing sense-awakening events, and to continuing to connect with our community in the coming times.

"Happy to support the creative and ever effervescent work of the wonderful We Players!"
We are committed to telling stories that help us make meaning of our current moment, that inspire us to invest in the natural world around us, and that connect us to our shared humanity - but we need your help. We cannot do this work alone. Please lend your hand to lift us up.
This Giving Tuesday we're asking you to give what you can in support of local theatre. We're asking you to make a contribution that represents the joy, hope, wonder, and community that We Players has provided you. Any gift is the right size!

Fall also saw us sharing our award-winning Mother Lear at Cal Shakes.
Mother Lear is a poignant play about an irascible middle-aged scholar with dementia who communicates with her caretaker daughter using only the text of King Lear as the two struggle with aging, love and their own balance of power.
