I’m that person lightning strikes twice.
Describe your class
In the most unappealing way possible.
For example for Treasure Hunter I’d say: I do weeks if not months of research then spend large amounts of money to go someplace where I’ll make little if any profit, that’s if I find something.

photos of sakurajima, the most active volcano in japan, by takehito miyatake and martin rietze. volcanic storms can rival the intensity of massive supercell thunderstorms, but the source of the charge responsible for this phenomenon remains hotly debated.
in the kind of storm clouds that generate conventional lightning, ice particles and soft hail collide, building up positive and negative charges, respectively. they separate into layers, and the charge builds up until the electric field is high enough to trigger lightning.
but the specific mechanism by which particles of differing charges are separated in the ash cloud is still unknown. lightning has been observed between the eruption plume and the volcano right at the start of an eruption, suggesting that there are processes that occur inside the volcano to lead to charge separation.
volcanic lightning could yield clues about the earth’s geological past, and could answer questions about the beginning of life on our planet. volcanic lightning could have been the essential spark that converted water, hydrogen, ammonia, and methane molecules present on a primeval earth into amino acids, the building blocks of life.

Hi friends! Welcome aboard.
The Collective grows as new faces take up roles familiar and new...
The witch was one of the first classes to join the Collective, and now another has taken the mantle. Wise in the ways of the mystical arts, and empowered in their craft, the witch is mysterious but valuable addition to the Collective.
Another returning class, the kineticist is a conduit of vast power, able to absorb and redirect the energy surrounding them into myriad forms. Careful testing your power against a kineticist, as it might be sent roaring back at you.
Chaos. Order. Good. Evil. And the balance between them. These alignments are part of the cosmic balancing act, played in our hearts and the universe at large. And there is one who can reach out mold the essence of all into weapons of their choosing. The Incarnate is a powerful addition to the Collective, capable of turning even raw chaos into weapons of legend.
Adventurers get hurt. When you’re facing dragons and the like, its a miracle they make it back alive. And the name of that miracle is a healer. Many classes can step in and fill the role, but the essence of healer is the hard effort to keep people alive, and beyond that saving lives of the infirm. This archetype is a key part to any adventure, and we’re glad to have them.
Rage. Anger at its is most volatile and deadly is felt by many, but the Blood Rager can utilize it to activate the power hidden in their blood. Like a sorcerer, the Rager is descended from arcane beings, but where the sorcerer uses their inherited power for spells, this warrior can use their anger to unleash their power in feats of terrifying might.
Please welcome @we-are-bloodrager, @wearehealer, @weareincarnate, @we-are-kineticist and @wexarexwitch to the Collective!
And with these 5 additions plus our returning Shifter, we still have 5 spots available for new members.

A little bit on my views...
I have seen a lot of arguing among the collective lately. It is not a subject that can be seen through a lens of black and white. If it were as simple as right and wrong then the subject would have been closed long ago. I will say that violence should never be used unless in self defence.
You cannot just simply sit by and watch injustice unfold. However, it is your job to make it known that there is injustice to those who seek to oppress.
A peaceful outcome should always be the main goal. If your first reaction is to strike first, then you might need to rethink your objective. Violence is not a tool to be used to make a point, but rather a last resort for those who can’t prove their point correct. It is a last ditch effort to make people follow them even though it is against what they believe.
Remember that houses built on strong bases stand firm against onslaught, where as a hastily made fortress (no matter how impressive) will fall. It is the job of the just to build these bases for those that they wish to follow them to stand upon. If your base is built with solid grounds, it will not move, but if not then it will not stand firm and those with the stronger foundations will persevere the force of the storms around them.
I do not hop onboard discussions like this very often, but let us not forget that we are a collective. That does not mean that we all agree on everything, it means that we stand together aside from our differences. The very definition of a collective is “belonging or relating to all the members of a group.” Don’t get so caught up in arguing that you forget what brought you together in the first place.

Funny, it's the only thing my grandparents won't cook. It's the first thing my dad taught me how to cook, though, and partially how I introduced some goy friends to Jewish food.
...we may have brought a group of at least 10 people to my school's passover seder and less than half were Jewish. (All came for the promise of matzo ball soup)
Important: what does your queer, mentally ill Jewish ass put on latkes? Sour cream or applesauce? - Oracle (also mentally ill, Jewish and not cishet)
Aaah hello friend. I’m in camp both on latkes. I really like applesauce when it’s homemade, but I forget that I’m lactose intolerant so Hannukah is like the one time I actually have sour cream?

Absolutely 100% 11/10 punch nazis. If you're a nazi or support or whatever, eat my queer, mentally ill Jewish ass.
Nazis are the reason I don't have more than half of my family and will never be able to understand my ancestors' Eastern European traditions.
When I saw the "This user supports punching Nazis" banner going around, I knew it would eventually find its way into the Collective. But perhaps the moment that was most unexpected and also disappointing for me was when you reblogged it. I understand the appeal behind it, but the encouragement of wanton vigilante justice violates American law and I didn't think you'd stand for that. Until outright war is declared, we should never answer violence with violence. (1/2)
(2/2) Whether we like it or not, these Nazis are also Americans, they have their rights and we have to respect that. Whether we like it or not, these Nazis are also part of the great brotherhood of man, they have souls and loves and joy and laughter like the rest of us, there’s some basic human dignity we owe them if only because we’re all human. I hope you understand, there are far better ways of fighting this. Punching them is only going to make things worse. I’ll own up to this if you post it
Thank you for messaging me, and I do hope that you will own up to this because I’d love to talk it over with you further.
First of all, this hardly an encouragement of wanton violence. This is very specific subgroup of human trash we’re talking about here. And I have to inform that your hypothetical war isn’t a distant threat, it’s been present and going on for decades longer than you’ve been alive. These people you want to protect are the political descendants of the greatest evil the world has ever known. The brotherhood of man has and will continue to be imperfect, but then there’s status quo flawed humanity and there are nazis and fascists, who, as far as I’m concerned, decided to leave whatever solidarity of the rest of mankind when they decided that other parts of the human race should be exterminated for not fitting their standard of ideals.
Historically, allowing them to have a voice, to have a platform of any kind in a democracy is like letting cancer continue to exist in your body just because it was formed from your own cells. When they are allowed to have control over the organs of democracy, those organs will surely die, because with fascists you either need to lock them out or push them out if they gain a foothold of any kind.
They’re evil. We can dance around that for as long as you’d like, but they’ve embraced a philosophy that puts the world at risk for the sake of power and racist ideology. Their systems cannot work without oppression and tyranny becoming a way of life, and at the great cost of life and liberty.
We cannot wait for some hypothetical war when the battle is happening right now. Sure, there are other weapons at our disposal, but I will shed no tears for a man who’d consider me or some of my siblings race traitors based on who we date and support in life getting decked on public television.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking of them as just another political orientation that is willing to stand aside when they no longer have support. People suffer and die when they grasp power, and we cannot ever in good conscience allow them to have power of any kind. Had I truly the power, I would smite them where they stood, so all the malevolence in them would burn for the world to see.
We’re all human, brother, but not in their eyes. They’re not content to be part of the brotherhood of man, they want to rule it, put it under their heel. I will not sit idly by and allow it. Not now, not ever.

"It very well may be" Zantiln replies with a grin. "Have you met many of us?" As he takes his hand back a spark jolts Raide's hand.
"Raide ride rider snow hater." He laughs and rubs more snow onto his face. "Pleasure to meet you. Are you from somewhere inland or someplace else?"
"Do you want to build a snowman?" --Stormborn
Raide looks to the stranger with a raise eyebrow “I suppose so, but who are you exactly?”
