The moment Zane was back home Kai wouldn't let go of him for like a month or two in fear of ever losing him again

When Lloyd washed Kai's and Zane's clothes together Zane's clothes ended up with Kai's scent until they were finally washed back to white

Zane was low-key upset that the scent didn't stick up for longer

Kai grew up with aunts that would gossip a lot (every latino family has a group of aunts like that don't lie) so he was very used to that and constantly gossips about stuff with Zane

Zane has zero clue of who or what Kai is gossiping about but he still listens without losing a single fact

Spending so much time with Kai made Zane have more sass and confidence than before

Spending so much time with Zane made Kai know more about strategies and stuff

A big headcannon of mine is that the ninja have these healing sessions where they heal each other's injuries after missions and there are times Kai purposefully tries to get parts of his body hurt so that Zane can help him with them

Upon facing strong emotions any of them can level up or lower down the temperature of the room they're in respectively, so they sometime hold hands or touch each other to keep the room in a bearable temperature

Example A: Whenever Kai gets angry and the room starts to heat up Zane instinctively goes over and holds Kai's hand to keep the temperature calm

Example B: When Zane gets frustrated at someone and it starts getting colder than usual Kai hugs him from behind to keep everything in place (sometimes their contact can cause a small hiss to happen)

Kai asks the dumbest and most obvious questions to hear Zane answer with facts

Keep in mind, Zane can sometimes talk a lot about certain topics even when it's unnecessary and you bet Kai knows every single one of the topics

Zane was kinda jealous of Skylor because of Kai's pining on her during s4

Everyone but Zane knew about Kai's crush on him

Upon that, they would all have these secret sleepovers whenever Zane was out on a solo mission or when he was asleep and those sleepovers mainly consisted on mildly bad love advice being given to Kai

Kai flirts like- a whole fucking lot

But the moment he gets just a smug smile coming from Zane as a response Kai becomes a stupid mess

They have matching nails and at least a matching pair of outfits
