i've been living in my car for the past 8 years, and it's 10 years old. my car is done for. there's a head gasket issue that even if i pay a ton of money to get it repaired, it's going to break down again within a couple months. this is what they're telling me at the shop.

it's dire now. i really don't have the strength to deal with this, and i don't know what i'm going to do. i even asked my dad if i could live with him and maybe get paid to be a caretaker for them, but his wife won't allow it.

i need to get another vehicle ASAP and sell my car for scrap. i'm not sure how much i can get for it, but i'm going to drive it until it dies while i look for something cheap. once i find something, i'll sell the old car and use that money to start getting the new one ready to live in.

i'm completely alone, i don't have any local friends, and i'm terrified of ending up on the streets in a tent. i don't want to get snatched up by the U.S. fascist regime and disappeared.

PLEASE help me raise funds for a new vehicle. i'm going to be going for a cheap used SUV. i'll also need a mailbox so i can renew my license and legally transfer the vehicle to my name, and i can get one of those for a couple hundred dollars. again, idk how much all this will cost, so please donate whatever you can. it's going to be hundreds if not a couple thousand dollars.

I love the way this completely sets Jax off. He was trying to lean into his persona and push Pomni away with insults and saying he didn’t care, but then she said that and he lost it. His demeanor immediately changes because he is ANGRY. Most of the scene is Pomni advancing and engaging with him, but here Jax is the one rushing forward. If Ragatha implying Ribbit’s existence was Jax’s trigger, this was a fucking nuke.

“Oh my god! Are you seriously gonna blame me for something that everybody else did, too? You didn’t even know him! You don’t even know what people are like before they abstract! They are NOT pleasant to be around– like at all! You-”

Whatever happened clearly messed him up, and the way he responds to Pomni’s words makes me wonder if part of him believes he is to blame (at least for Ribbit’s.)

The wording “are you seriously gonna blame me for something that everybody else did, too” is interesting as well, and it makes sense when you consider that Jax may be implying that the warning signs were clearly there, and if he’s at fault for lack of caring (and he does care, let be honest) then so is everyone else because nobody else stopped the abstraction either. (And please, I need Jax to talk more about what exactly he experienced when someone was close to abstraction.)

I love you Gooseworx. Especially with what’s going on with the “Ragatha = evil woman” discourse, I needed you to clear the air. You can still feel bad and relate to Jax without villainizing the fuck out of Ragatha and overlooking his actions. You can also disagree with parts of Ragatha’s behavior without painting her out as a horrible person too.
