Ok so concept: we don't do presidential debates live, they're filmed a few days before and each candidate's team is allowed to edit them- HOWEVER we get a very long blooper reel featuring every screw up, which the candidates are not informed of. They think they can edit out their screwups. There are three full minutes of Joe Biden saying vaguely racist things, we see Kamala Harris wink?? At the camera? Bernie yelling angrily at Biden for 3 or four straight minutes, there are lots of obscenities. Buttegeig asks permission before he starts to attack Bernie's views. Bernie is trying to give Warren fashion tips for being "in" and Warren is rolling her eyes. Basically the debates are super disorganised and we see candidates as people not candidates.

The age of the younger sibling does not cancel the age of the older.
When one child is one and the other is eleven, the eleven year old does not have to behave like an adult.
The eleven year old is still eleven.
When the second child is born, the first does not have to stop expecting love or validation from the parents.
If the older child expresses that they feel unloved or replaced, they should be loved and not mocked.
They should be treated like a child, and not like they’re acting “entitled.” Of course they’re being childish. They are a child.
They should not be expected to bear the full burden of family conflict.
It is everyone’s responsibility to treat everyone else well. Teaching the older child that they do not have to be treated well by others will breed resentment and anxiety.
This is an excellent time to teach both children to respect each other.
This is not a good time to teach the older child that their needs and happiness are less important than the younger child’s.
This is not a good time to teach the younger child that their needs and happiness are more important than the older child’s.
It is not okay to explain to your fourteen year old that you never bonded with them how you did with their younger sibling.
They can not handle it.
They are fourteen.
They should not be belittled for not being able to handle it.
They are fourteen.
Do not prioritize the wants of the younger sibling simply because they are younger.
Do not ignore the needs of the older child simply because they are older.
The age of one child is not relevant to the age of the other.
They are both developing, and both need to be treated accordingly.
The parents is always the adult in the room, and never the older sibling.
The parent cannot be reactionary and emotional while expecting the child to be calm and rational.
Pay attention to the older child.
Care about the older child.
And if you can’t do any of that, at least get them a therapist when you’re done fucking them up.

Today's weather report (via Noodle)
She screamed at me for like 30 mins to let her outside. I finally caved and opened the porch door. She stood about a foot away from the open door and sniffed the air. I said "well?" She went out. I closed the door, and sat down to eat breakfast. I looked over. She was making eye contact with me, and i could see but not hear her screaming. I went back and opened the door. She ran inside doing her brrrp brrrp noises. It is not a good day outside.

Lesbian culture is having a vivid dream that the 13th Doctor had a heartfelt monologue about how much she likes ladies, followed by having a vivid dream that you woke up, googled it, and it was in fact a real monologue, followed by actually waking up, googling it again, and being entirely crushed by the cold reality of the 13th Doctor’s unconfirmed sexual orientation.

My therapist: so how are things, haven't seen you in a while
Me: oh you know, same clowns, same circus, same crippling sense of impending doom paired with a debilitating inability to act on it all winding down to a big mushy feeling of sadness. Also I'm always angry. Funny circus joke tho haha
