Movie Review: Beauty and the Billionaire (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕 Title: Beauty and the Billionaire
Description: This is about Peter getting himself into a mess and he's not able to perform all of the job functions for his boss, so he enlists his big sister, Addison, to do him a favor and come along with him and his boss, Justin, to help with some day to day things until he gets back on his feet. Low and behold, Justin is the "grumpy" boss, and Addison is the girl who sees the world differently, and sees the good in everybody. They spend a lot of time together while Addison is helping them out, and she realizes that underneath that grumpy exterior, there's a really caring man -- Maybe too caring.
Reason for Rating: This seems to be a low budget movie which I don't normally have issues with, but this one just felt like one and it was all too cheesy for me. Even the quality felt low budget. I could already tell what was going to happen but there was no character development that I didn't even care that they got together. There was no drama, no huge plot twist that makes you wonder if the two characters will end up together (even though you know they will because let's face it, it's a romcom!), or anything like that. It was one dimensional and lacked any type of feeling that one would get with on screen chemistry.

Disney Movie Review: Beauty and The Beast (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌕 - 4/5 Title: Beauty and The Beast
Description: Beauty and The Beast is about a prince (Beast) being cursed and he turns into a beast and has to spend his time in this castle as everybody thinks of him as a hideous monster. Belle’s dad ends up finding his way to the castle and Beast keeps him prisoner. Belle sacrifices herself to let him free. So she ends up staying in the castle, and over time, she learns that Beast may look like one on the outside, but on the inside, he’s a sweet and charming person and she ends up loving him for more than just his looks.
Reason for Rating: Okay, so I might get a lot of hate for not having watched this movie until I was almost in my 30′s. I’m sure I watched it as a child but don’t remember it so I decided to pick it up again. I thought this was a really entertaining movie even at my age. (A lot of the older Disney movies don’t sit well with me). Do I think this would have held up if it was just now released? Definitely not. Do I think it’s a little unorthodox that he basically forced her into love with him? Yes. However, I think that it tells a beautiful story that it’s about what’s on the inside, not the outside, and that when you really love somebody, the walls that you build up will slowly break down. Gaston was obviously the worst. He’s not like a typical “villain”, he really did all of this for marriage and for what? I really enjoyed this movie.

Anime Review: Kaichou Wa Maid-Sama (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕 - 5/5 Title: Maid-Sama/Maid Sama! # of Episodes: 26
Description: Misaki Ayuzawa is the main character of this show. She is a tough cookie who at school tries her hardest to participate in as many academics as possible and who tries to make the school a better place for all of the other girls there, not only that but, she has a secret life at her employment. What she does there shows her less “tom boy” side and nobody knows about it until Takumi Usui finds out and “blackmails” her for him to keep her secret. All the while, things get heated between them and problems arise obviously that have to be dealt with. I think this is the most innocent and sweetest Manga.
Reason for Rating: This is probably my all time favorite Manga that I’ve watched so for that, I give it 5/5. This is also a 5/5 in my opinion because it was just so sweet, cute, and it showed the real life struggles of being poor, and what having to grow up does to you. Not only that, I think they did a great job of making Usui the “villain”, when in fact, he isn’t even the villain, and he redeems himself quite well. I think his character was portrayed nicely to reflect that he didn’t actually want to blackmail her, but really just wanted to be close to her, and that was the only way he could think of to get past her tough exterior. I think that this is a great show for anybody who wants a great laugh but also wants to feel the connection between the main characters.

Animated Movie Review: Kiki’s Delivery Service (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕 - 5/5 Title: Kiki’s Delivery Service/Witch’s Express Home Delivery
Description: So, this is the first and only Anime movie I’ve watched and let me tell you, I love it. It’s basically about Kiki who is of the age to become a witch so she has to set out on her own adventure and succeed in order to do so. In the process, she runs into problems, but also people who will teach her a lot of lessons and lifelong friends she’ll hold in her heart forever.
Reason for Rating: It’s really just a cute movie. It doesn’t have too much of anything but it all falls together and keeps your attention. I give this movie 5/5 only because I love it sooooo much and I could watch it all the time!

Anime Review: Itazura Na Kiss (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌕 - 4/5 Title: Itazura Na Kiss/Playfull Kiss # of Episodes: 25
Description: This is about a high school girl named Kotoko Aihara who tells her crush Naoki that she’s in love with him and when he reads it, he laughs in her face, but she’s obviously very determined and won’t take that as an answer so she tries her hardest to prove to him that she loves him, along the way, a lot of things happen that help her get her chances to do so, and also a lot of things happen to them and between them that change who they are as people and change their relationship.
Reason for Rating: This show definitely had me feeling every emotion that the main characters were feeling. It was so strong I literally had to have tissues next to me the whole time because I cried A LOT throughout this show. I also laughed and I definitely shipped some couples together that came throughout the show. This was one of those shows that took a LONG time to watch, but was definitely worth it in every episode. It’s a solid 4/5 for me even though it isn’t my favorite Manga.

Anime Review: Say “I Love You” (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌕 - 4/5 Title: Say “I Love You”/Suki-tte ii na yo # of Episodes: 13
Description: This was actually the very first Anime that I watched and let me say, it did not disappoint in introducing me to the community! It’s such a cute little show. It’s about the main character Mei Tachibana. She’s socially awkward and she doesn’t really have any friends or anybody that she trusts because she feels that everybody will betray her, after an incident that happened when she was a child. Even though she’s like this, that doesn’t stop Yamato Kurosawa, a popular boy in school to befriend her and ultimately fall in love with her, and the show is basically about her blossoming, and the blossoming of their relationship.
Reason for Rating: As I said above, I think this was the perfect show to introduce me into the Anime watching community. It was sweet, funny, witty, and it wasn’t too overly emotional to where I had to have tissues next to me the whole time. It actually did show some struggles that socially awkward people go through in life as well and how they have to work a little bit harder to get through life and relationships/friendships. I would consider it a solid 4/5.

CDrama Review: Love Scenery (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 - 4.5/5 Title: Love Scenery # of Episodes: 31
Description: So, what I’m about to say to describe this show may be considered a SPOILER, so I wouldn’t read ahead if you don’t want anything spoiled! Essentially, Liang Chen is a singer who will do anything she can to bring good music to her listeners and fans. She loves to promote being kind, loving, and “perfect”. Lu Jing loves computers, data, and playing an online game that he excels at. While they start as strangers, Liang Chen’s perseverance to do great at the game, and Lu Jing’s accomplishments at the game all come into play and the dynamic of the story pulls in different ways. Not to mention Lu Jing having been a huge fan of Liang Chen since the beginning, there’s no way that the girl he’s meant to train on this game to be good, is her, right? RIGHT?
Reason for Rating: I would give this show 4.5/5. This show definitely gave you all of the feels with you sitting at the edge of your seat, hoping your relation-”ships” became a reality. I do think that the amount of almosts are a bit much for even me, such as the amount of times the two main characters ALMOST met, ALMOST figured each other out, ALMOST got to that point, and the number of episodes prolonging the end were a bit much. I do love how every episode did have something for you to look forward to for the next episode, and no episode could go unnoticed as each one contained a question, an answer, or both! I think this was a good amount of suspense used loosely that’ll keep you laughing, and in your feels the whole time.

Anime Review: Ookami Shoujo To Kuro Ouji (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌗 3.5/5 Title: Ookami SHoujo To Kuro Ouji/Wolf Girl and Black Prince # of Episodes: 12
Description: Erika Shinohara is a girl who tells all of her friends about her romantic exploits, only none of it is true! She claims that one of the other guys in her school is her boyfriend, but it's not true and Kyouya Sata (The guy she is claiming is her boyfriend) finds out. In return for him pretending to be her boyfriend, he treats her like a dog. Along the way, lines get crossed and they're not sure whether she's the dog, or whether they're pretending.
Reason for Rating: I actually really liked this show. I thought it was entertaining. I give it a 3.5/5 as it was short and sweet, but we got all of the answers we wanted by the end. If you get easily irritated by the male main character being essentially a bully and treating a girl like she's beneath him, and guys trying to one up the women in their lives, this probably isn't the best show, because the male main character really had that going for him. That's one of the reasons for a knock down of points was because I think he was overly aggressive in his attempts to be a douche and there were some parts of the show that made me say "Girl, you definitely deserve better."

Anime Review: Inu x Boku SS (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌗 - 3.5/5 Title: Inu x Boku SS/The Dog and Me Secret Service # of Episodes: 12
Description: This show is actually a Manga and It’s about a girl named Ririchiyo Shirakiin who moves away from her family and starts on her own. She’s basically living on her own in a “dorm” at her school. While at school, her family hires somebody to watch over her, basically her dog. That’s where Soshi Miketsukami comes in. He becomes her “servant” and her “dog”. He is to protect her, but he is hiding his own secret. She ends up falling in love with him, as he does with her and this show is basically about all the secrets that come out and all of the moments they share without telling each other how they really feel.
Reason for Rating: I liked this show, but I didn’t love it. The main characters were super cute, but the show itself was super weird. There were so many things going on that I didn’t understand, but it made sense in the show all together. There were plenty of characters I thought were useless, annoying, and I didn’t really enjoy. For those reasons, I’m giving it a 3.5/5. Other than that, the main story line between the two main characters is far different.

Anime Review: First Love Monster (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌕🌕 - 3/5 Title: First Love Monster/Hatsukoi Monster # of Episodes: 12
Description: I’ll tell you guys right now, this is probably one of the weirdest Animes ever! So this is about the girl main characater, Kaho, who just moves into her “dorm”, as a 15 year old in high school. While unpacking and walking up, she almost gets hit by a truck but gets saved by a guy who goes by the name of Kanade. She instantly falls in love with him but finds out his secret....He’s in 5th grade! She doesn’t know what to do. It becomes weird, but she can’t stop thinking about him. The show is 12 episodes full of problems that they end up having and the ways they solve them.
Reason for Rating: To be honest, I’d probably give this a 3/5. The reason why is because it was super weird. A little weird for my liking. However, it was funny, and it had me going to every single episode instead of closing out, so that’s the reason why I’ve rated it the way I have.

Anime Review: Vampire Knight (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌕🌕 - 3/5 Title: Vampire Knight/Vanpaia Naito # of Episodes: 26
Description: Yuki has vivid memories of childhood and most of them include Zero and Kaname. Yuki becomes a guardian of the vampire race, protecting her crush, Kaname, as he leads vampires through the school. While she does a good job of protecting everyone and the vampires, she doesn’t do a good job of protecting herself from trouble, and even bigger, Kaname. Things get blurry when her best friend Zero wants to be more than that, and Yuki has to save Zero which in turn may ruin her chances with Kaname.
Reason for Rating: Alright, I can’t be the only one who didn’t like the ending of this show? I didn’t read the mangas, but the show itself had a poor ending. I watched this a few years ago when I was younger and I totally shipped Yuki and Kaname. While watching it just recently, I totally shipped Zero and Yuki and nobody can change my mind! I’ve read that the manga ends differently than the show, but I wish that Kaname and Yuki were never a thing, it didn’t make any sense. The show was great and the different storylines kept me entertained.

KDrama Review: My Secret Romance (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌕🌗 - 2.5/5 Title: My Secret Romance # of Episodes: 14
Description: Jin-wook and Yoo-mi meet at work as she’s a nutritionist and he’s her new boss! While there, they get caught in a series of accidents, misunderstandings, and moments. It doesn’t help that they remember each other from the past, because they had a one night stand, and she ran away. Although Jin-wook is mad and does his best to show this to Yoo-mi, he keeps a secret - He’s been holding on to her bra pad since the morning she escaped from him after their moment. As they keep finding themselves alone together, they get entangled in a way that they didn’t think they could from all their hatred, and that hatred turns to something else.
Reason for Rating: This would be a 2.5/5 for me. I couldn’t get past Jin-wook and the way he was acting throughout the show. Not only that, but I almost couldn’t accept the way that he was treating Yoo-mi the whole series. I know in the end it was inevitable for them to end up together, but I feel that maybe she could have tried it out with Jung. I think that the actors did a great job with portraying the chemistry that they had with each other though and for that I give them props.

Anime Review: Snow White with the Red Hair (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌕 - 2/5 Title: Snow White with the Red Hair/Akagami no Shirayukihime # of Episodes: 24
Description: So this is a show about two main characters: Shirayuki which is the girl with the Red hair, which is actually pretty weird in that time frame in that area, so she obviously stands out already. Then, there’s Zen who’s a prince! Shirayuki basically has to run away from her home because another prince of her current town wants her and is trying to force her with him. That’s when she comes across Zen and basically, he takes her under his wing and becomes her knight in shining armour. Along the way, they end up becoming very good friends and even something more.
Reason for Rating: What I can say about this show is that even in the first episode, the hardcore shipping of the main characters is there. You just want them to be together so bad that I think watching the rest of the episodes might put you on edge or seem boring to you. It’s full of a lot of action, and tons of problems. I would probably give this a 2. I wasn’t really into the whole prince and princess thing and all the problems that arose in the castle and all of that, I don’t know. So a 2/5 would be fair on my end.

CDrama Review: Love O2O (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌕 - 2/5 Title: Love O2O # of Episodes: 30
Description: Love O2O is about Bei Weiwei who is a Computer Science student who wants to be an online game developer. She loves playing the game “A Chinese Ghost Story”. After being dumped by her online husband, she is approached by the number one player in the game who suggests that they get married so they could participate in the in couple’s game competitions. While they’re getting along great in the game, Weiwei finds out who is behind the screen and once they meet, the rest is history.
Reason for Rating: I’d give this a 2/5. I thought it was a great story that was realistic and that’s kind of where it ended for me. I didn’t feel the connection between the main cast members, and I thought a lot of what they played and how they played was the main focus of the show (Which I get), but I also wanted there to be other substance to the show. I do think in the end that they overcome it all and they are a cute couple, but I don’t think show was portrayed well.

Anime Review: Kuzo No Honkai (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌗 - 1.5/5 Title: Kuzo No Honkai/Scum’s Wish # of Episodes: 12
Description: Well, the English translation to this - “Scum’s Wish” is kind of telling. Hanabi is in love with Narumi, her older childhood friend that is now her teacher. She realizes that he’ll never love her when she sees the look in his eye toward another teacher, Akane. Mugi also realizes that his love for Akane will go unnoticed as she is in love with somebody else. Hanabi and Mugi come together and begin a fake relationship to satisfy each other’s loneliness, both sexually and emotionally. They agree not to fall in love with each other and end the relationship if their love is returned from the people they are actually in love with.
Reason for Rating: I’ll be honest, this was kind of weird to watch for me as I wasn’t expecting everything that happened. I get where the emotion from this show is coming from - and it is very well portrayed in each episode and from each of the characters. They’re acting out of hurt and despair from everything that they’re feeling. I couldn't keep up with the different angles and I couldn't tell what actually happened versus what was in each character's minds that were having flashbacks and other thoughts going on.

Anime Review: Blue Spring Ride (Potential Spoilers)
Rating: 🌕🌗 - 1.5/5 Title: Blue Spring Ride/Ao Haru Ride # of Episodes: 12
Description: This is about Futaba, the main heroine. She sees one day that her first love Tanaka Kou is back after transferring three years ago before she was able to confess her feelings to him. Futaba realizes as she sees him that he’s not the same person as he was before. He’s cold, cool, and he changed his last name even! She tries her hardest to get close to him and as they rekindle what they had before, they start learning about each other, including what happened while they were apart.
Reason for Rating: Well, Tanaka is very cold and Futaba is not afraid to be herself. The two are polar opposites but she doesn't give up and makes it known that she will get Tanaka to at least talk to her like he used to. While they reminisce on life and what happened, they realize that the feelings didn't fade, but maybe turned into something much different since they're old. I think this show is a cute one but it lacks the substance for me. I do like his backstory and the trials he went through as the reasoning to why he is who he is now. I also like that Futaba doesn't give up on him. I would give this a 1.5/5 as it didn't keep my attention as much as I would have liked, but it also allowed me to complete watching it.
