The Rainy Cycle
Why do we take that step even when we might get hurt
I took that chance so many times and ended up getting hurt
Did God allow this or I was simply foolish to say “no”
Was I suppose to live it to learn something from it?
There are bitter memories, yes, but sweet memories are bigger
I never said yes with the intention of saying goodbye
But I guess destiny speaks louder than desires
It’s hard to comprehend how someone can become part of your life
Share so much
Trust so much
Laugh so much
Be best friends
and then someday
become strangers
How can this be?
I am sure I am not the only one who goes through this cycle
However, this cycle is the worst to recover from
It’s like a storm that never seems to stop
a constant rain that indicates the sun won’t come up
“Time will heal,” they say
Yeah I guess It does somehow
However, how do you forget something that was part of your life?
Are we not suppose to forget?
Do we ignore memories?
Do we simply move on?
It’s rough
It’s tough
It’s not easy
It’s painful
It sucks because you don’t want to shed tears for something that has no meaning anymore
Nothing will change
I trust in God
I want to be strong
But as King David writes constantly in the book of Psalms
Sometimes it gets too hard to simply “be okay”
Sometimes you just want to shout and cry
Ask God why
and then let Him comfort you
Sometimes I think
Why do I have to go through so many of the same cycles in life
I always intend to guard my heart and yet I simply crush it even more
I want to be okay
I want to trust and believe the cycle won’t be repeated
Is it a lesson I need to learn and yet can’t pass?
My God, please have mercy on me
Give me comfort and understanding
Forgive me if my thoughts are coming from doubt
Please don’t be silent
Please answer me
I need you
I don’t know if I can wait any longer
Though I live every day with joy and a thankful heart
I also have despair and sadness
You are my only hope
Please do not delay and answer me
The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. Psalms 28:7
Wait, patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord. Psalms 27:14
The Lord says, “ I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Do not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control. Psalms 32:8-9

What is your reality?
The same God who created the heavens and the earth
The same God who spoke to Adam and Eve
The same God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
The same God that guided Moses
The same God who gave the favor to Joseph
The same God that gave the power to all the prophets
That same God is our Father
A Father that is Holy and perfect
Alrighty and all powerful
A Father that sent His only Son to save us
A Father that is so patient and so merciful
The same God
We have the access to speak with Him anytime through Jesus
Do we sometimes forget the greatness of this reality?
Do we get too familiar with prayer that we take it for granted?
Do we forget that His Holy Spirit lives in us?
Do we forget the power we have in Christ?
Are we so caught up in this life that we forgot we are not of this world?
Are we so focused on “making it” that we forget “it is done”?
Church, we need to stop being ignorant
We need to start comprehending the depth of this reality
The reality that we have been chosen by name
The reality that He calls us His representative on this earth
That we are the light and salt of this world
The reality that we have the power through Christ to do all things
The reality that He tells us the mystery of His divine plans
The reality that because of Christ we have hope
The reality that we are no longer slaves to sin
The privilege that He calls us His children
What are we doing with the undeserved gift we have through Christ
Are we really following Jesus or just “playing Christianity”
Are we praising Him or just singing another song
Are we preaching the truth or only what others want to hear
Are we living in Holiness
In Pureness
In Love
Are we forgiving
Fighting for justice
Are we giving with a cheerful heart or just to get something back
These are all the questions I made to myself
I asked for forgiveness
Because if we
The church
The ones that are really followers of Jesus
Are not aware of this reality
Then we are just doing religion
We are not making a difference
When I think about this reality
My worries become smaller than a grain of sand
My dreams and hopes are mealiness but life finds its purpose
My soul rejoices
Father thank you
Oh God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
God all mighty who created everything that we see and can’t see
Thank you for your Son Jesus
Thank you for your amazing grace
We are truly nothing without You
PSALM 145
I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever.
2
I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever.
3
Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.
4
Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.
5
I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles.
6
Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness.
7
Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness.
8
The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
9
The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.
10
All of your works will thank you, Lord, and your faithful followers will praise you.
11
They will speak of the glory of your kingdom; they will give examples of your power.
12
They will tell about your mighty deeds and about the majesty and glory of your reign.
13
For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations.
The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does.[b]
14
The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads.
15
The eyes of all look to you in hope; you give them their food as they need it.
16
When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing.
17
The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness.
18
The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.
19
He grants the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cries for help and rescues them.
20
The Lord protects all those who love him, but he destroys the wicked.
21
I will praise the Lord, and may everyone on earth bless his holy name forever and ever.

Are you Chasing the Wind?
Thousands of years ago King Salomon once said life was meaningless
He said that all the hard work we do,
All the activities we are part of pretty much have no meaning at the end
We end up being empty
We end up wanting more and it just simply becomes a cycle
Why do we feel like if “something” changes in our lives, we will be satisfied?
If I get “that” job
If I find “the one”
If I moved to “that” city
If I join “that” group or community
We are always aiming for something more
To be approved by someone
We are not really sure who exactly
Perhaps ourselves?
We live in a world of “please like and share”
Some people find satisfaction in that
I also know not “everyone” is into that famous “button”
I recently moved to a beautiful city in Europe I dreamed of since I was very young
God is so good, He actually has given me the opportunity to move here
Back then, I thought to myself
“If I can ever move to Europe and sit at a coffee shop in a plaza where everyone seems to really be loving life...that would be amazing! It will be like a movie! Like a dream come true”
Guess what, I am at a beautiful Plaza having an amazing Cafe con Leche, and yes people seem to actually be enjoying themselves. I hear a lot of laughter and kids are running around. There is an adorable puppy right in front of me that looks as happy as his owner. The birds are singing and time seems to not move forward in this town.
So I should “feel” completely happy and satisfied right? I should have nothing to complain.
You know what, I am happy and yes I have nothing to complain, but God has made me realize something very important.
It’s not about where you are, or even with whom you are. Wherever you go, and whomever you go with, even though you will enjoy the “view” a little more, you are still you. People around you are still the same whether you are in Europe or in Asia.
Am I saying where I am is not worth enjoying?
Of course not
What I come to realize is that it doesn't matter where you go or what you do
Your reality, whether you have a spouse and kids, It’s only you and God at the end of the day
You can go all the places you want, do all the things you want to do
Be super busy or simply chill all day at the beach
You can go shopping and eat at an amazing restaurant with the most astounding view
You can have a wonderful date with your spouse
or have an unforgetful time with your children
Oh yes all of that is beautiful and thank God, even though we are still in this fallen world, He gives us the privilege to actually enjoy it
But moments come and go
You will go home and get in bed
Before you close your eyes to go to sleep what is in your mind?
Remembering how amazing your day was or how terrible your life is?
Whatever it is, at the end, it’s you and your Creator
Whether you believe in Him or not
The reality is that you do not make your heart move each day
You do not make a note that you have to breathe
We depend on our Creator in Heaven
What I come to realize is that
Life is not about where you go or what you do
Life is not about comparing yourself with others around you
Life is not about what you achieve or not even how much you serve
Life is not about being the center of attention or having everyone loving you
Life is not even about accomplishing all the dreams you have in your heart
I am not saying all of the above have no meaning “at all”
But when that becomes the focus
You will end up empty
You will end up feeling like nothing can really bring you to complete satisfaction
As King Solomon would say, “Like chasing the wind”
We obviously all have different perspectives about what life “should be like”
But I really believe that the only thing that can bring complete satisfaction and complete peace in our lives
Is having a real relationship with our Heavenly Father
The beautiful part about this relationship is that it will always be in progress for the rest of our lives
No matter how much we would like to get to that point of knowing Him fully, we will always somehow fall short
But the other beautiful side of it is that we get to actually walk day by day with Him
He will give us peace, love, and joy each day as we go through this life
We will find meaning because we know He is the one directing us
We won’t have to worry or be afraid of anything because He is on our side
He goes before us and He stays behind to protect us every second
As Jesus said, love God and love people
When we love God it becomes natural for us to love people
To forgive others who hurt you
Or to apologize if you hurt someone
Cherish where you are
Cherish who you have around
Be thankful for all that you have and do not have
But most importantly
Love God and fear Him
Don’t just admire God
Spend time to know Him
To know what He loves and what He hates
You will see the great comfort and peace He will bring to you
And get closer to the person He created you to become
“So what do people get in this life for all their hard work and anxiety? 23 Their days of labor are filled with pain and grief; even at night their minds cannot rest. It is all meaningless.24 So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that these pleasures are from the hand of God.25 For who can eat or enjoy anything apart from him?26 God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. But if a sinner becomes wealthy, God takes the wealth away and gives it to those who please him. This, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind.”
-- Ecclesiastes 2:22 - 26
13 That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty. 14 God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad.
-- Ecclesiastes 12:13 - 14

Just a Thought
Just a thought
life takes you through so many different things
Or should I say, God takes you through it
He is the author and I am just a “book” He writes on
Or should I say, a “book” He already wrote on
Have you gone through moments when you stop, look back and you simply think
“What just happened?”
I have
Things happen one day to another
or should I say one second to another
and we do not realize the reality of each decision we make
I’ve been through those situations so many times
Honestly, If I did not have God in my life, I think I would be under intense anxiety right now
No, I am not complaining
I am just reflecting on how life just is
One day you are surrounded by people and so busy doing so much
and another day you are simply alone in a room writing a blog entry
Just a thought
I often wonder why we always want what we do not have
God is definitely patient
We can never seem to make up our minds
We can never seem to be satisfied
I could not imagine how it would be like to not have Someone to rely on
See, I always just go to Jesus because I just can’t do it alone
No way
If I didn’t, I would have given up on so many things long ago
I would have made even more mistakes than what I have already made
To know that I have a Father who sees me and takes care of me from Heaven is the most relieving thing I can ever experience
I know some do not believe in God, or perhaps just do not want to acknowledge Him
But I do
Even though I do not see Him
I rather believe He is taking care of me even if I am completely alone in a country as a stranger with no one I know
I rather believe and rely on that peace He gives me when I call His name
Just a thought
The last 5 months have been a roller coaster to me
I really can’t grasp all that just happened in my life
When I meet new people and they ask about me
I start telling my life story
and every time people are just amazed at my multicultural background
You know, I do not think about it so deeply because well, I am so used to it that I forget to reflect on the type of “book” I am
At the age of 30, I have lived in 4 different countries now
I have learned 3 different languages and cultures that sometimes I don’t even know “what” I am or “where” I really belong
I give no credit to myself or own effort at all because all have been only by the grace of my God that I am where I am
But then again I reflect on it and I am just speechless (though I write a lot)
I felt speechless before I started writing this blog entry
Though I know not many people read it I just had to jot down all my thoughts
I was speechless
Reflecting all that I just went through
Reflecting on where I am right now
I feel like everything is starting over again
Just a thought
Do you ever feel or ask yourself
“Am I really hearing God” or is this just me hoping is “God’s voice”
You know what the cool thing is
God does hear us
Even though we make mistakes
or should I say, have to learn lessons
He takes His time in teaching us
Guiding us
and protecting us from so much mess we can cause on our own
Just a thought
This is what happens when you simply write down all you are thinking
No order
No theme
Just words and feelings on paper
or should I say, screen
Just a thought
All I want to say is that no matter what is going on in my life or your life
Do you know Jesus?
Is he Your Lord?
No, like really your Lord?
Then you will be fine
I will be fine
He will protect us
Guide us
and lead us
He is faithful
The following scripture has been the most encouraging word for the past few months
I cling to this promise with all my heart
and He did save me
“for the LORD is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.” Proverbs 3:26

“Just Do it?”
The more I give, the more I care
The more I serve the more I love
The more I pray for others, preach the word, the better Christian I am
The more I go to church, small groups, study groups, whatever group we have, the more holy we become
We start believing that in order to please God, in order to be a “Christian” we must DO
We are wrong
Okay, let me rephrase that, all that I mentioned is not wrong, of course not, God wants us to give, to serve, to do
However
Is this really what we are supposed to do first?
We are very familiar with this verse; “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” (Matthew 6:33)
“Seeking the Kindom of God” does this mean seeking church activities? Seeking to make sacrifices to God? Seeking to go and serve, and give? Or does this simply mean to seek Him?
We are all very familiar with this verse as well; Jesus replied, "'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.'(Matthew 22:37)
So Jesus is teaching us to seek Him first and to Love Him with all our heart, soul and mind. Are we fulfilling this commandment by all the “doings” that we have on our list?
No, we are not.
God wants us to have Him first. Meaning to actually seek Him.
Spending time with Him, every day. Not doing church activities or other serving works. You see, we naturally think that just because we are part of a ministry, and we are “doing” so much for people, that we are actually “seeking Him first”.
Look what Jesus told the church to Ephesus.
"I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don't tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars. You have patiently suffered for me without quitting.
"But I have this complaint against you. You don't love me or each other as you did at first!” Revelations 2:2-4
Brothers and Sisters, we are to seek Him first. To love Him.
What is first? If we are given 24 hours a day, and the first thing we do when we wake up is not to seek Him, then let’s just say that he is not really “first” in our lives. We can all have the excuse of “I am not a morning person” or “I prefer to read during lunchtime, or at night.” or on my commute”.
You have done other things before coming to His presence, that means automatically He is no longer your first.
Yes, I used to be one of them. Telling myself, I already wake up so early in the morning or saying but I like to do my devotions at night.
Then I was convicted by this factor of really living what I am preaching. How can I say I love God and I give my life to Him, when I can't even fight with my flesh and wake up earlier than usual. I mean, he gave His life for me on the cross, am I really going to choose sleep over His presence?
Waking up early in the morning and talking with Him, reading His word, hearing from Him. This is the best thing that I can gain before I do anything else in the day.
King David says in Psalms how he sought for God in the morning.
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3
I rise early before the sun is up; I cry out for help and put my hope in your words. Psalm 119:147
Even the Son of God sought the Father in the morning.
Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray. Mark 1:35
If Jesus had to do this and He was perfect, how much more do we need to have communion with the Father first thing in the morning?
Okay so you got my point, but going back to our first point, aren't we supposed to serve, give and do as well?
Jesus also told us to pray for each other, love one another, serve, give and I can go on. Yes, I am not telling you to stop doing that.
However, as we read the verse in Revelations earlier, the church of Ephesus seemed to be doing everything right, as Jesus mentioned in the first verses. Then He says “But”. But what? They were “doing” all the right things!
They had lost their “first love”. Jesus said, “You don’t love me”.
How can they not love him, if all they were doing were “the right things” to “please God” right?
First of all, we cannot please God by works, only by faith. (Hebrews 11:6)
Secondly, The works were not bad, it was their motives that were.
Jesus said,"Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5
We can do nothing if we are not connected to him.
What does it mean to be connected to Him?
To spend time with Him. (Which is the point I was trying to make by seeking Him first thing in the morning)
To have daily communion with Him.
When we are connected to the Vine, which is Jesus, then our works become the fruit of our communion with God. If we are not having communion with Jesus, if we are not connected to the Vine, then our works are based on our flesh and it will bear no fruit!
I understand that sometimes we get so caught up in “doing” so much.
Believe me, I’ve been there a lot of times.
We worry about “doing” to make Jesus “happy”. (which is so unbiblical). So we try to make things happen by our own strength, and power and even our own understanding.
However
Do you know that all the things we are supposed to do for the Kingdom have already been set by Jesus long ago?
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10
Our fruit is made by how much communion we have with Jesus, not by how much we do.
Brothers and sisters, let’s examine our hearts and be honest with ourselves.
Are we really putting God first? Or are we just thinking we are and simply putting our religion first?
Let’s not worry about the things we think we have to “do”, just have communion with the Most High and He will show you the things we must do.

I desire you
Eres el aliento que me levanta en la mañana
Eres lo que deseo cada segundo
Como poder imaginar no tenerte a mi lado
Estuviera perdida no tendría esperanza de la vida
Tu amor es lo mas grande
Tu amor no es comparable
No sé cómo expresarme y decirte cuanto te deseo
Deseo tu aliento tu presencia tu voz
Lo primero que pienso en la madrugada
Lo último que está en mi mente eres tu
No, nunca te podre dejar
Me perderé si no estás a mi lado
No seria nada si no supiera que me amas
Cada paso que tomo, cada palabra que digo que sea para hacerte feliz
No quisiera vivir para mí, quisiera vivir para ti
No quisiera nada que no fuera de ti
No me importa nada si tú no estás ahí
Yo sé que me oyes
Yo se que me amas
Eres mi vida, te doy mi alma
Father, these words
The very reason why I can keep moving forward in this life.
You know, I’ve known you for so long.
Since my youth.
I feel like I am finally getting to a point where I truly understand, all I need is you.
Nothing else matters anymore, you are the only one I care for.
I’ve never been through situations where I must choose either to live or to deny your name.
Maybe I have never been in such a persecution that It will be either the life of someone I love or You.
I do not know if you will ever put me in such situation, but if you do, I want to choose you no matter what.
Because losing this life means gaining eternity with you.
I rather die for you than live for myself.
I have come to a point where I don’t need anything else as long as I have your presence with me.
Lord, you are everything.
You are all mighty.
God of the universe.
I am tired of living for myself.
I want to live for you.
Perhaps I do not really understand the heaviness of this confession.
Perhaps you will take me through a lot of tests and tribulations to really teach me and make me understand the meaning of what is to follow your son Jesus.
I have to take up my cross and suffer as He did
You know my heart and desires, I have lost interest in the things of this world.
The only thing I find purpose is to follow you, to love you to obey your words.
I know I don’t hold my life, you hold everything in your hands.
I am no one without you, you are truly the one who gives me breath.
Your mercy and patient are so precious and valuable, I cannot even describe it.
Please forgive my sins, forgive everything I say, think or do that does not please you.
Please let me be holy as you desire me to be.
Guide me to the path you want me to take.
I give my body as a living and holy sacrifice to you because of all You have done for me.
Oh God, you are my God I seek you.
I thirst for you.
I desire your gentle touch.
Thank you for wiping my tears away.
Let all that I am praise you.

Deceived by Prophecies
If you are a follower of Christ and have been prophesied in the past you may want to check if that prophecy was really from God.
When I was 15 years old, I received a prophecy
“You will sing in front of multitudes and lead people in worship”
It’s scary how one single sentence can determine your life or make you decide from one day to another your destiny
Growing up, I was taught that “prophecy” means to tell the future about God’s will for our lives. It was a way of knowing we were “on the right track”. Whenever we had “prophets” in the church, we hoped to be prophesied so we could hear the “will of God”
This is not Biblical
I based all my life on the prophecy I got when I was 15 years old
“I need to sing, that’s what the prophecy said.” I thought
In fact, I do love singing to God, but looking back at the past 20 something years, I realized, I based my “calling” on the “prophecy” I got that day
“It’s God’s will! The prophecy said so.”
I was trying to fulfill the “prophecy” by my own power.
Only God knows our future, and we should never live or make decisions based on a prophecy but only by trusting that the Holy Spirit will lead us each day
“Live by faith and not by sight” 2 Corinthians 5:7
The Bible says,
“But one who prophesies strengthens others, encourages them, and comforts them” 1Corinthians 14:3
In a general sense, a prophet is a person who speaks God’s truth to others. The English word prophet comes from the Greek word prophetes, which can mean “one who speaks forth” or “advocate.” Prophets are also called “seers,” because of their spiritual insight or their ability to “see” the future.
In the old testament, prophets were common because they were chosen by God to deliver a message about future events. The prophecies that are written in the Bible are true because they all came true as history confirms. There are also some prophecies that are still yet to be fulfilled which is found mainly in the Book of Daniel, Isaiah, and Revelations; which talks about the rapture, second coming of Jesus, and the judgment etc. However, the Bible has been sealed and no one should add anything new to it.
“And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book.” Revelations 22:18
If someone comes to you that name themselves to be a “prophet” and start telling you about “your future” that is not aligning with the word of God, then we should be alert. The Bible does not say we will be strengthened, encouraged or comforted by being told “our future” or even our “past”. Unless the prophecy becomes true 100% it’s a false prophecy and it’s no different from “Divination”.
“Divination is a demonic counterfeit ability that the devil uses in order to foretell the future. It is the ability to access hidden knowledge or secrets pertaining to a person or a people or an event through demonic sources such as familiar spirits etc.
The Greek word of divination comes from the root word PYTHON. The Spirit of Python counterfeits the Spirit of Prophecy.
Divination is a form of witchcraft that possesses psychics, witchdoctors, false prophets, spiritual advisors, medicine men, new age gurus, voodoo priests & priestess, mediums, etc. We are told in Deuteronomy 18: 14 that we are not permitted to practice divination, sorcery or any witchcraft, for it is an abomination to God.
The act of divining; foretelling future events, or discovering things secret or obscure, by the aid of superior beings, or by other than human means is not acceptable to God.
Here are the sources from the Bible.
DIVINATION IS PRACTICED BY THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF PEOPLE:
Diviners. Deuteronomy 18:14
False prophets. Jeremiah 14:14; Ezekiel 13:3,6
Enchanters. Deuteronomy 18:10; Jeremiah 27:9
Witches. Exodus 22:18; Deuteronomy 18:10
Charmers. Deuteronomy 18:11
Wizards. Deuteronomy 18:11; 1 Samuel 28:3
Consulters of familiar spirits. Deuteronomy 18:11
Magicians. Genesis 41:8; Daniel 4:7
Astrologers. Isaiah 47:13; Daniel 4:7
Sorcerers. Jeremiah 27:9; Acts 13:6,8
Necromancers. Deuteronomy 18:11
Soothsayers. Isaiah 2:6; Daniel 2:27
THOSE WHO PRACTICED DIVINATION WERE:
Regarded as wise & knowledgeable men. Daniel 2:12,27
They earned a lot of money for their “prophecies”. Acts 16:16
They were admired; they were followed and thought to be “men of God” yet they were false prophets / diviners. Acts 8:9,11
They were consulted in desperate or difficult times Daniel 2:2; 4:6,7 and Exodus 7, Exodus 8
Prophesy means to strengthen, encourage and comfort with the Word of God alone!
We have to be careful and not desire to hear “prophecies” that will tell us the future because the enemy can use it against us. We will become so focused on trying to live based on the prophecy that we forget to live based on the leading of the Holy Spirit and the word of God.
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 2 Timothy 4:3-4
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world" 1 John 4:1.
Have you ever gotten prophesied over and made decisions based on that? You might want to really check with God if that was really from Him. People can make decisions and change their whole lives just because of a “prophecy”. I was one of them, and now that I have been exposed to this truth, I cannot just sit around and not speak out.
If you do not agree or have another argument, I understand
But with love, all I want to say is
Brothers and sisters let’s not forget to study the word of God and seek the truth
Let’s not rely on customs and traditions but on the word of God alone

An Open Letter to Believers
Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith. 2 Corinthians 13:5
Growing up in Church
I always thought I was in the right place
I was convinced the denomination
The customs
The way of “doing church” was all correct
That it was all Biblical
My ultimate mistake has been, “as long as the pastor is approving it there is nothing wrong”.
Right?
I first went to church when I was around 8 years old
Let me define what church has been for me for the past 21 years
A place where people who wanted to follow Jesus will gather; people who will follow for real, or because they had to.
A place where people who wanted to fellowship will come together
A place where you will sing a few songs in the beginning and “worship”
A place where a pastor will stand in the front and teach the word of God
A place where you will join a small group and share your thoughts and pray for each other
A place where you will “serve” for the “House of God” by joining some kind of “team”
A place where you will “give” tithe because if you don’t, you won’t be blessed
A place where you will meet your “Friends” and do everything together
A place where you will probably find your future mate
A place where you are told to bring new people, because it’s “God’s Will”
A place where you will have programs and events to “outreach”
A place where you will have a yearly Christmas Service, Easter Service, and for some reason Halloween Parties; oh yeah to “outreach”.
I am not talking about a “particular church”
In fact, I’ve visited several churches in the past
I am talking about all that I’ve experienced in the past 21 years as a Christian
Whatever I have written is not with the purpose of harming anyone
It’s not with the purpose of putting churches, pastors, or leaders down thinking I know it all
And it’s definitely not to have people “stop going to church”
I just want to share few things that got me thinking for the past few months :1. What “Church” has become. 2. What does it really mean to be a Christian and 3. What is happening to Modern Worship.
1. What “Church” has become
Are we really gathering to worship Jesus or to be entertained?
Growing up I met a lot of people who were genuinely in love with the Lord and a lot of people who really went to church because they wanted to learn and spend time with other believers not because they were forced to but because they wanted to. I was also one of them. Everything I did, every team I served at and every hour I spent in Church was simply because I loved my God and the people (and still do). I loved serving and it was not an obligation for me, it was a blessing, it was wonderful to spend time with others and “create” the service together. (1 Corinthians 14:2). Small Groups (Life groups, Cell Groups, whatever you want to call it) were also my favorite moments. Spending time with your sisters in Christ, sharing thoughts and prayers with each other is beautiful and it should never stop. (James 5:16)
However, I started noticing that Church started to become more of a place to “have fun” rather than a place to worship the Lord. Events were planned based on “how can we look attractive to non-Christians”. How can we incorporate that Church is “fun”, that Church is “cool”. Yes, I was all in for that matter because our main motivation was always “for people to be saved”.
However, wait a minute. Why do we have to come up with ideas, events and strategies to attract the world? If the church uses worldly strategies to attract the world, we will clearly not succeed because we are not meant to be like the world. We are meant to be different, we should be reaching out with the word of God. Period. Not by creating the most amazing “entertaining” service where people will think “It’s cool to go to church”. That’s why people come and go and so many have no depth to their roots. All we are doing is creating emotions-based followers. I have seen so many people coming to church, “getting saved”, getting baptized and then see them no more 3 months later.
We go to church to worship Jesus not to be entertained by events, music or “funny preaching”. (Matthew 13:3-6, Romans 12:2). Last time I checked, I never read in the Bible of Jesus trying to adapt to the culture, or the people so they like him so that he can teach the truth. He spoke the truth even by offending others and was not ashamed of not being “accepted” by their customs and culture.
2. What does it really mean to be a Christian
If you raised your hand today and prayed “come Jesus into my heart” you are saved! Congratulations! Okay, yes Jesus said that (Romans 10:9) but he also said “Don’t just call my name, you have to also follow my commandments, because if you do, then you really love me! (Luke 6:46). It’s not enough to know about Jesus, you have to really have a relationship with him. The devil knows way more about Jesus than we do and he is not “saved”. (James 2:19) Also, he said to give up everything for him. He said to surrender your life and to follow him. (Matthew 16:24 – 26, Luke 14:26). You don’t become a follower of Jesus by just praying a simple prayer after service and then keep living and doing the same things in life. To become a follower of Christ, we must be transformed, really understand our sins, and repent. The church needs to stop showing people that “salvation” is a “simple prayer away”.
We must tell people what it really means to become a Christ follower. No, life won’t be all easy with ice cream and rainbows all the time. No, your problems won’t suddenly go away, and No, everything in life will not become perfect. In fact, you will suffer more, you will be rejected, hated and persecuted, and problems could get worst. (2 Timothy 4:5, 2 Timothy 2:3, Acts 9:16, Philippians 1:29 and more). We will have an enemy that hates us, we will have people and family members that will reject us, we will be hated by the world and be criticized.
Of course, following Christ is the greatest choice we can ever make because we will live in heaven with him and have hope in life but while we are waiting for that day to come, not everything is pretty. The church must preach the truth, and stop being afraid of “scaring people away”. Salvation is not based on what we can gain in this world, but what awaits us in eternity.
3. What is happening to Modern Worship.
My last point is related more with our “Worship Ministries”. I’ve been part of the worship ministry since I fell in love with Jesus which is over 21 years now. That is because I always loved music, so much that I even considered going to a Bible School and to study music. I was told by 3 different so called “prophets” which is a topic I won’t get into this time, because this is something else that is not well-taught and I’ve been deceived all this time, that I was called to sing for the Kingdom! So, I believed it and pursued it with all my heart. I sang at a lot of churches, I was always a part of the worship team; my heart and my life was on fire to sing and there was nothing that could stop me from doing it. However, even though my desire to sing to the Lord has not changed, I no longer want to stand on stage at a church service. Do not get me wrong, we must sing to God! We must worship and dance and shout for His glory! (Psalm 96:1). However, when singing becomes the main purpose and not worshiping Him, then we have missed the mark.
Churches have tried so hard to match with their culture, so much so that ,you don’t know if you have entered a church building or a club. The dark room settings with flashy lights and the very loud techno- like music that is used to “attract” people outside has become the norm of “cool modern churches”. The worship settings and the music must be upbeat and people need to jump and shout because otherwise the “youth” won’t be satisfied. If we want to experience cool music and its atmosphere, then we can go to a concert!
The Church is a place that must be a place of worship, not a place to showcase our talent. I was deceived by all of it, but my heart was sincere. I really was there because I wanted to sing to Jesus! I wanted to jump for Jesus! I wanted to show others that worshiping Jesus was the best thing ever. I still believe that a lot of people who are in the worship ministry are sincere about their motives and love for God. I have no doubt about that. I am not saying that Worship Ministries are evil or that everyone should stop singing. However what kind of message are we delivering to those who are not “deeply in love with Jesus yet”? We are teaching them to worship us, and not Jesus. The focus is on us and not on Jesus. The stages, the mics, the lights and the titles on stage are making people wanting to become like “us” and not Jesus. (Galatians 6:14).
Believe it or not, we all want to be noticed, and that’s why for some reason people automatically put those on stage as someone “better” than the ones serving in the back. What is my point? If you are not worshiping the same way you worship on stage, as when you worship at home where no one is looking, then something is off.
Singing to the Lord is not about how high you jump or how much you raise your hands, it’s about how low you go on your knees at his cross and surrender all. It’s not about how cool and catchy the songs are and not how awesome the set and the band is, it’s about the heart of each worshiper who are truly devoting all they have in His presence.
You may not agree with me
You may think I am being deceived
You may believe you are doing nothing wrong
If you are convinced that you are in the right place, then Praise God!
May he keep guiding you and blessing you!
I am not telling anyone to stop going to church.
But what I am trying to say; even if you did not get anything or agree with anything with what I said; please just hear me out on one thing.
ALWAYS, go back to the word of God.
NEVER rely only on your Pastor’s, your Leader’s not even your Elder’s opinions.
ALWAYS test them with the word of God.
At the end of the day, you will be the one accountable for everything you say and do.
If you are still not convinced, or would like to know more further teachings on these topics please check the following sermons. Take the time to open your mind. (The following videos teaches on other principles as well)

The Nature and the Assignment
I once was told
Go to school, get a degree so you will never have to depend on a man
It seems like this is one of the modern principles for women now days
The reasons behind could be few
But whatever the reason is, this is what you have been told to do
Obtain a degree
Develop a career
Be independent
Support yourself
Never depend on anyone else
Especially not on a man
This sounded all “nice”
But something in me was not fully satisfied
I still went forward with this modern idea
Went to college
Obtained a degree
Developed a career
Became independent
Supporting myself
But It feels wrong, we are not meant to be alone.
Why do we work so hard? Is life really about being “single” and “free”
What is the purpose behind this?
Why are women empowered to be “ the boss”
“The Leader”
“The provider”
To become “superior”?
To whom?
To become like men?
Why?
What is the purpose
What is the reason
What do we gain
What do we prove
I am not saying is bad to go to college and develop a career
I am not saying women should never learn or go to school
I am not saying women should not work or have their own apartment
But I do not think it’s the main purpose in life as a woman
I do not think it will fully satisfy her needs
Why. Because she was made for a specific purpose
The right answer is to always go back to the original source
The Creator
The Creator must be the one who truly knows the “purpose”
If God created us, He knows best
I recently came across few powerful teachings about “Women, Wives, and Mothers”
It was not the typical, “You are powerful! Go conquer the world!” Type of messages. I was relieved. I got so tired of hearing them anyway.
Here are some of the links to the teachings I’ve been studying.
It’s long, but it’s pure wisdom
1. Recovering Biblical Womanhood by Paul Washer
2. The Willful Submission of a Christian Wife by John MacArthur (My favorite)
3. The Purpose of Woman by Myles Munroe
Even though there are many more principles, I will write some of the key points I just totally agree on.
The Main Calling of a Godly Woman
To be a wife, to become the helper of the man God has for her
“The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." Genesis 2:18
2. To be a mother, to multiply and fulfill the earth
“Now be fruitful and multiply, and repopulate the earth." Genesis 9:8
3. To educate the next generation
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Take to heart these words that I give you today. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you’re at home or away when you lie down or get up. Write them down, and tie them around your wrist, and wear them as headbands as a reminder. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:5-9
You know, many may not agree with me
But I rather follow the instructions of my God who created me
Then a modern idea based on this world’s standards
At the end of the day
People can care less of what I do with my life
But God cares, and I will be accountable to Him someday
It makes sense to me
It fills my heart and soul
And I can’t wait to do it all

Don’t Give Up
Sometimes we may feel like everything we do is meaningless
Especially when we are trying to do the right thing
We start with the best intensions
We try to be thankful about everything in life
At the end of the day, we are the only ones who can make ourselves happy anyway
We cannot depend on someone else to fulfill our needs all the time
If you love God, I am sure every day you wake up trying to please Him
I do.
Every day I try to do my best to really show him how much I love Him
Not that I have to prove anything to gain His love
He loves me no matter what
However, just as you would like to please someone you care for by doing the best you can to make them smile
So do I want to please my Father in heaven each day and every time
See, I do not really do this to gain something from Him
He knows my heart, I am simply in love with Him
I am going to be honest though
Sometimes I do get discouraged, wanting to give up
He warned us that this life was not going to be easy
The hope is that he will be with us even when we think we are alone
However the reality is that sometimes we get discouraged
Discouraged of not knowing what He is really up to
Have you been there?
You pray
You trust
You wait
But then, it seems like He is not doing anything about it
Then He says
“Don’t get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up”. -- Galatians 6:9
You try to get up again and keep going
He is faithful
He cares
He never leaves
Even when nothing happens
Even when your prayers are not answered
Even when circumstances don’t change
Are you willing to not give up?
Are you willing to love him no matter what?
Remember God tests our character over and over in order to give us what we need “next”.
Just as you cannot skip from 1st grade to 6th grade
in life, we have to go through different steps
To be able to handle all His promises
“Do not lean on your understanding” He says
Thinking that you got it all
That you are ready to move on
Perhaps the moment you think you are ready, will be the moment He will test you the most
Don’t give up
Keep doing good
Keep being faithful to Him
Love Him
Even when He does nothing
Even when it hurts
Don’t give up
He loves you so much

Reality Check
There are few types of people you will encounter once in life.
Those you thought will care, but didn't. Those you thought wouldn't care, but did.
Those who showed you they will be there, but only when they can get something from you. Those who never wanted anything in return but sincerely your friendship alone. You will invest so much time and energy, but once you stop, you are no longer appreciated. You will be disappointed. You will be perhaps surprised on how shallow people can be.
You think you are important.
No, you are not that important.
You will be forgotten, you will become a memory.
I am not a victim. We all are.
We treat each other this way.
If you are killing to to achieve anything in life; career, dreams, relationships.
Go for it.
But remember focusing on the things of this world may give you satisfaction but not fulfillment.
May give you happiness but not joy
May give you comfort but not peace
May give you success but not prosperity.
A wise man once said
“What do people get for all their hard work under the sun? Generations come and generations go, but the earth never changes.
The sun rises and the sun sets, then hurries around to rise again”......
“I observed everything going on under the sun, and really, it is all meaningless—like chasing the wind”. Ecclesiastes 1:3-4,14
Reality Check;
Always; “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people." Colossians 3:23

Please know this Everything going on in your life comes from the Father Good or Bad because He allows it to happen However, good or bad, the purpose will always be good To give you hope and future not to harm you So be strong and courageous Don’t be afraid or discouraged of the storms coming into your life He tells us to not worry for a reason He tells us to seek Him first for a reason He promises life in abundance for a reason But he also warned us that we will suffer He said it will not be easy He said to carry our cross and surrender all to Him Don’t give in to the lies of the enemy To the distractions of this world or circumstances Be okay to let go and to say no to something you always wanted if that means to be obedient to His guidance Never stop praying Always rejoice

You Need Me
“I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.” God’s Decree. “For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think. Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth, Doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They’ll do the work I sent them to do, they’ll complete the assignment I gave them.
Isaiah 55:8 - 11 (MSG)
As I was readying this verse I started asking God.
If we don’t think the way You think, then how can we know Your ways and your will in our lives? Even when we “think” it might not be “Your thoughts” anyway.
I was honest with God. He likes that anyway.
Yeah, who are we to question anything God has in mind? We will never understand His ways because they are too great for us to even grasp.
I’ve heard someone trying to explain this with the example of ants and humans. Ants won’t understand what humans do or think; they are ants, we are humans. They don’t speak our language nor have our wisdom and knowledge. (Though they are pretty smart). It’s an interesting example anyway, since, I’ve never looked at ants and think of trying to speak to them or teach them anything. It’s almost funny to even want to try.
But then I applied that example to God and us anyway.
God is the same. We are the ants that think are “too smart”. God’s wisdom and knowledge is beyond our imagination. Yet, He did not give up on us. He did not think, “How funny, trying to talk to these humans and teach them what to do it’s impossible.”
Instead.
He chooses to have a relationship with us.
He chooses to be part of every desicion in our lives.
Big or small He cares.
So after I asked God the question.
If we don’t think the way You think, then how can we know Your ways and your will in our lives? Even when we “think”, it might not be “Your thoughts” anyway.
He said; I want to partner with you. Since my thoughts are higher than your thoughts, you need Me. Since My ways are higher than your ways, you need Me. That’s why the Holy Spirit is with you if you ask him to help you. He will guide you towards the thoughts and ways I have for you.
Enough Said.
We are a team. We are a team with the most high.

Rainy Days are Worth it
I experienced such a beautiful moment the other day
この間とても美しいを体験をした
The morning was dark and very cold, there was rain and wind
ある日朝起きた時に、とても外が暗くて、寒くて、雨が降ってて、風が強かった
I covered myself up to be protected from the cold, and the rain
出掛ける前に上着を着て、寒さから自分を守った
it seemed like the whole day was going to be the same
一日中こんな感じで変わらないかなと思った
it seemed like the sun was not going to come out
多分太陽の光は出て来ないんだなと思った
it seemed like the rain was not going to stop
多分雨も止まならいかなと思った
But I was wrong
でも間違ってた
All of a sudden I see the clouds moving away and the blue sky opened up
知らぬ間に風が雲を素早く動かし、青空が見えた
The rain stopped and the sun came out
雨は止んで、太陽の光が出てきた
The warmth of the light, touched my face
眩しいぐらいの光が顔に触れ、暖かさを感じた
and from one second to another it was a new day
そして一瞬で一日が変わった
To conclude the beautiful picture, a rainbow came out
更に美しい事に、虹まで出た
it seemed like whole day was gong to be gloomy and dark
一日中、曇りで暗い日なのかと思った
It seemed like the rain was not going to stop
一日中、雨はもう止まないと思った
But I was wrong, It changed unexpectedly to a beautiful sunny day in a second
でも違った、知らぬ間に一瞬で美しい一日に変わった
Then God spoke to me.
その時、イエス様が語ってくれたの
Our lives, can look like it’s all dark, gloomy, rainy and cold
私たちの人生も時々、暗くて、雨がいつも降っってて、寒くて
but then God can turn it around in a second.
でもイエス様はそんな人生を一瞬で変える事ができるって
See the beauty of rainy days, it’s that if we do not go through them, we wont ever appreciate the sunny days, we won’t be able to see the rainbow.
美しい晴れの日っていうのは、雨の日がなければ全く良さを感じれないと思う、雨が降らないと、虹も出て来ない
A rainbow presents the promises of God; but we cannot see a rainbow unless it rains
虹ってね神様の約束を表すの、でも雨がなければ虹は見れない
I want to encourage you, if you are in a rainy season don’t give up
だからみんなに言いたい事は、今人生で雨が降っていても諦めないで
The warmth of the sun might be cover by the thick clouds right now, but it will come through at any time. Just trust Him.
もうしかしたら人生がとても暗い雲に囲まれてるかもしれない、でもいつかそこに光がやってくるから、イエス様に信頼をおいて
Trust Him, and he will give you the rainbow.
イエス様に信頼をおけば、必ずその虹は見えてくるから
Sunny days are beautiful, but rainy days are worth it.
晴れの日もとても美しいけど、雨の日ほど大切なものはない
“....he rebuked the wind and the raging waves. Suddenly the storm stopped and all was calm...” Luke 8:24
「そこでイエスは「静まれ!と嵐に命じられました。するとどうでしょう。たちまち風も嵐もおさまり、何事もなかったかのように静かになりました。」ルカ 8:24

Don’t create poison in your heart
“If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.” - Matthew 6:14-15
When we are hurt by someone, we automatically feel like we have the right to be a victim and decided not to justify or forgive. Let’s be real, I’ve been there.
When we are offended, mistreated, or hurt by others, specially those we love, we tent to believe that we have the right to receive an apology. We will create pride that says “if she (he) does not say sorry, then why would I forgive? I am the victim here”. Perhaps that makes you feel “better”, but at the end of the day it actually make us feel worst.
I thought, why do God teaches us to forgive others? it does not seem unfair to forgive even though we have not done anything wrong. (At least that is what we think). I came with a conclusion that at the end of the day, it’s not about feeling “good about ourselves” just because we received an apology. I guess, that could be “nice” but it stops there.
Forgiveness is more than words and a “nice feeling”, it’s about taking out the bitterness from our hearts. When there is no forgiveness, there is anger, grudge, hate, and all of that type of poison that takes over our hearts and mind. In result, we can become bitter and negative, we will become self-righteous and selfish. God did not tell us to forgive others simply because he does not think the person “whom wronged us” is completely justified, but is because we will do a big favour to ourselves.
Another most important thing about forgiveness is that if we do not forgive, then God will not forgive us. I thought, God is trying to teach us His character with this scripture; we often make mistakes and hurt God when we sin. A lot of us, do not ask for forgiveness, and we justify ourselves, saying that “I am not doing anything wrong”; yet God forgives. He already forgave us at the cross even before we wronged Him. Yet because we are to be like Him, he is teaching us to forgive.
Let’s forgive others, not for “them” but for our own good.
One, to receive God’s forgiveness
Two to not produce poison in our hearts and mind.

Behind "Prayer Letters" - Lyrics-
I wrote this song to my future husband, but actually it is more than a love song, it's a worship song. Actually I do not know if you noticed, but there are a lot of scripture hidden in it. I would like to take this moment and share it with you. (For more info about why I wrote this song, see my previous post )
Today I get closer to the day I will meet you
And though I don't know you I pray for you everyday
That God gives you favor, and raps in His grace
For that day, it's on the way
あなたに会える日が昨日より近づいたね
あなたをまだ知らないけど、祈ってるよ
毎日神様があなたに恩惠と惠で包まれますようにって
会える時が近づいてるね
I sit here and write, letters to you
Letters of Love, Letters from everyday
that I wished you were here with me
Hoping that some, day I'll read them, all to you
And I will keep writing for you
Until the day you’re here with me
I pray that when you find me, you can say,
"She is more precious than rubies" and (Proverbs 31:10)
"She brings me good and never any harm"(Proverbs 31:12)
"How can I deny, for the Lord has read my heart"
その巡り会えた日に言ってくれたら嬉しい
”宝石よりも美しい”(箴言 31:10)
”いつも僕を助け、悪い事を与えない”(箴言31:12)
”神様がお祈りを聞いてくれた”
I'm submitted to you all the days of my life (Colossians 3:18)
Let me be your helper (Genesis2:18)
Let me be your wife (Proverbs 31:10)
These are my prayers,
In love letters I write
I can’t wait to read them the rest of our lives
あなたに仕え(コロサイ3:18)
あなたの助けになり(創世記2:18)
あなたの妻になる(箴言31:10)
これが私の祈り
愛の手紙で書きます
ずっと一緒に読んで行こうね
It's not just a love song but a prayer with principles from scripture of how wives should be. I know we can't never be perfect, but we can observe and learn God's original purpose and desire of how a wife should be.
ただのラブソングではなく聖句を元に、妻の役割と性根を表したものを書きたいと思った。
