Some useful info

Since I have a thread for Warui series in MangaUpdates some fans have asked me this year: ‘What happened with Warui series serialization? Why isn’t it getting chapters in Hanaoto and Boy’s Capi magazines? Is Sakuraga sensei ill?’

First of all, Sakuraga sensei is fine. There’s no official new saying that she’s ill. The only official new behind her absence was given by herself in her blog last December 2017, and she said that she was on holidays (translation here). Aside from that, Houbusha hasn’t said a word.

About Warui serialization: there are some short stories that have been published in the limited edition booklets included in some Hanaoto issues this year. Also, there have been some previews for the 3rd Makoto x Tōru chapter, but for some unknown reasons, it has been delayed by Houbunsha. At this point, I dare to say that Sakuraga sensei has their story complete and it just needs to get published.

Let’s cross our fingers and hope we get more of Sakuraga sensei’s work next year. Also, we need to see more development for the most recent pairs too, so I find it hard that Hanaoto suddenly stops giving us content:

Shirō/Nao pair needs to get more chapters since Hayate should start getting along with Nao now. Of course that in order to achieve that, more Kimi wo Koro Shitai chapters will be needed too. Hayate would learn how to be a good brother to Nao thanks to Yuzuru, who has a beautiful relationship with Tōru.

And if you want to add more plot reasons, we have the Mika/Towa one, which is the main ship. If we trace a timeline in the series, it’s not been so long since Towa realized he loves Mikado, and he doesn’t even know about Kuon and Nanao’s relationship either. The Aikawas have a lot to say yet.

There’s the Haji/Masa pair too. What has Sakuraga sensei prepared for those two weirdos?

What are the new stories in warui series??

Hullo! Sorry that Francesco missed your ask.

To answer your question, currently there’s no new stories. After Himitsu Ja Nai Kedo, there are only some short stories. Since most of them aren’t being translated yet, it’s also hard to read them or find them online.

This blog did not and will not send requests for bitcoin donations.

There seems to be a virus or some sort of malware going around causing blogs to “send out” chat messages to blogs that they follow asking for help with the purchase of certain items through donations of seemingly small amounts using bitcoin and adds a link to the message.

The message goes as following (at least the first message I got went like this): “Hi there buddy. I need help, I’m trying to buy a laptop and I can’t afford it. I’m about 0.36$ short, and I’d really appreciate if you could help me and transfer some money to me via bitcoin using this *link*.”

The small details in the message seems to have a few variations with the greeting, amount and purchased item showing up in different variations from formal to friendly, from 0.016 to 2$ and from a phone case to a laptop among others.

The blogs that are affected send out the messages to blogs that they follow for a long time mostly, so you are most likely to receive the message from a long time, active follower whose name you might recognize or a mutual etc. The blogs that are affected are not spam bots but actual active followers who follow the recipient for months or years and most likely the blogger who “sent” the message is unaware of the message being sent.

DO NOT OPEN THE LINK.

Opening up the link will cause the virus to spread even more and infect your computer/mobile with any sort of malware.

If you have received a message of that sort from this blog please know that it was not sent by me or within my control and ignore/delete the message without clicking the link.

Edit:

To those worried because they received a message with a wallet code instead of a l8nk, there’s nothing to worry about. Tge wallet code is essentially tge equivalent of a bank account number. So unless you actually go and actively transfer from your wallet to theurs you’re safe. Opening the messages themselves is harmless.

The best way to know if you were affected is to simply go into messages and see if you sent a message like that to anyone, it will appear in the chat.

I personally recommend changing passwords just in case, even if you weren’t hit with the virus.

Sakuraga Mei will draw the cover of Hanaoto next issue (out next month). Could this mean that it will feature Sakuraga’s new manga next August? Will it be related to the ‘Mint’ picture sensei posted before? This is just my speculation but it really gives me hope. Fingers crossed that I’m right about new manga.

Sakuraga Mei-Sensei Interview

***This is an interview from Hanaoto, April issue (the one with Hajime/Masato/Yuihara).***

The author of the popular school-life BL 「Warui Koto Shitai series 」, Sakuraga Mei, is here to answer some questions about her works and her feeling towards the series and its anniversary.

Warui Koto Shitai series has just reached its 10th anniversary. Sakuraga-sensei, what do you think when you look back through all these years?

Oh, it’s been this long? Thank you for your kind support.

Where did you get the idea for Warui Koto Shitai series?

The idea is from my old sketchbook when I was a student.

Working on the series, what’s the most memorable moment?

When I was tired and sleepy, I drew some unknown characters. It was interesting but I had to erase it (Of course, you have to).

What do you have to be careful of when you work?

I have to make sure not to include my sexual minority in the series (laugh).

What’s your favourite type of seme and uke?

<<Note>> This answer isn’t based on any storyline or couple; just my interest and pure imagination (laugh).

Favourite Seme

- Masato (It’d be better if he were more cold towards his uke) - Tatsumi (—No comment at this point)

Favourite Uke

- Nanao (He can make his seme crazy for him) - Akagi (With obedience towards his seme)

The characters in the series are rarely participate in any club activity (except the newspaper club). If they were to join the club, which club would it be?

Towa — athletics club, Mikado — shogi club (Shogi = Japanese chess), Yukimura — karate club, Shinonome…hmm…computer club?

There’re some lovely siblings in this series. If you could make a change, who would be brother/sister with who?

Mikado (older) and Shinonome (younger), with Shino being a bit more devilish (that makes them devilish seme).

We know that everybody in Alikawa family can cook; what meal do they cook best?

Nagahisa - Western cuisine Kuon - Japanese cuisine Towa - Donburi, agree? (laugh)

Is there any ‘unbreakable rule’ in Shirahane family?

Yeah……If you make Kimiko-sama angry, you’ll face ‘the most worst punishment’ you could ever imagine. 

In Warui Koto Shitai series, which characters do you want to be your friend, brother and husband?

Friend — Kousaka (Warm and Kind - He must to be a good friend)  Brothers — Towa and Yuu (I felt relieved when I’m with them) Husband — Kuon (he’s an all-around man) Lover - Masato —> Kuon must kill me 〜 Next life, I would choose a normal guy as husband <FIN>

What do you do while working?

Listening to TV (I use it as background music) or music (sometimes)

When you want to take a break from working, what will you do?

Eat something sweet

Could you tell us what your desk look like?

Tidy-up the stationery…… is  really〜…… troublesome…….

Being a comic artist, what’s the happiest thing in your career?

Of course, when the readers said “I like XX”.

If you weren’t a comic artist, what would you be?

What would I do? Hmm I’ve always loved cafe but I’d love to be a customer more (laugh).

Hi Francesco! I've just read your latest confession and I want to know your opinion about Himitsu Ja Nai Kedo. Do you agree with that confession? (that Himitsu is the worst of ShinoYuki stories).

Francesco can’t really say, because Francesco haven’t read all the chapters yet (can’t understand Japanese, like… not at all *cries*). But Francesco has to admit that it doesn’t look as… dunno, satisfactory(?) as the previous ShinoYuki installments.

Contrary to the anon who confessed, Francesco loves to see the new characters but where’s Hajimeeeee because it’s pretty refreshing. The minus point is just it’s too short. Let’s wish for more in the tankoubon, k?

Hullo, anon! It’s actually over, but Francesco is intrigued, so…

7. Yuki/Towa

shops for groceries: Are they going to fight over whether its good to buy all sweets or veggies? Because they may be. Mostly Yuki because Towa will just buy bread or chocolates or thanks to Shinonome lollipops.

kills the spider: Towa. Yuki will just make a hole on the wall with his Supersonic Right Fist.

comes home drunk at 3am: Both. Most probably they’re drunk because they keep playing a drinking game and neither wants to lose.

makes breakfast: Yuki, maybe. Towa is kinda hopeless. But Towa might ask his brothers how to make a nice meal just to surprise his Yukimura.

remembers to feed the fish: Towa! He loves pets to death. Yuki doesn’t want to admit that he likes the fish too, but Towa sometimes caught him talking and feeding it.

decorates the apartment: Both, but not without some fighting about trivial things like where to put a painting or the color of the couch.

initiates duets:  Towa. He’s more open about what he wants, and besides Yuki thinks it’s scarring his ego if he does that.

falls asleep first: None. But Yuki might be. He’s so tired at school, after all.

Warui Koto Shitai’s 10th Anniversary 

Check the website and see this. The cover of Hanaoto next month. Is that a new story to celebrate the anniversary? Apparently, it’s Masato and Hajime BUT who’s the man with black hair?? Whoever he is, I’m sure my dear friend from the confession page must be happy. He mentioned that he wanted to see Hajime - Congratulations, your wish is granted. More Details to Come Soon!!

Hullo! Thanks for asking and sending the confession!

Francesco has asked a friend about this, for one of her fav pairings is ShinoYuki. She said that Shino most probably has had the interest towards his neighbor since he first moved in next to him. Maybe love at the first sight? He might be like ‘hey that guy next door seems fun to play with!’ without any sexual innuendo? dunno XD

Francesco’s personal headcanon is that he didn’t deny it, because he’s pretty frank as a person unlike his boyfriend/neighbor and must probably will act upon his feelings. In the middle school, he might be mistook the love as playfulness and curiosity at first. Francesco thinks the realization (”HEY I LOVE THIS GUY!”) will come out of the blue maybe in the hospital because Yuki is beaten up?

But this is Francesco’s own headcanon. It may vary with other people’s, tho. Feel free to share any of the headcanon you have! ^^
